I didn't know there was a Latias in monster hunters . Then again never played the monster hunter series so maybe there is a monster that resembles latias No, Latias in Pokemon Y. Mega Latias and Latios are currently only available with cheats.

Did someone say Sci-fi? Is anyone familiar with The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? If I had time and a lack of other obligations...I would so write a CYOA in that vein. Not that universe specifically, just in that vein. I thought you guys had a star wars thing going anyways?
Eventually you "get a grip" on school despite all the work. It's nearly impossible to get a similar "grip" on life afterwards, at least, that's how I feel. GX, what is ECE and AMDM? Your schedule sounds insane. The AP courses should really have been split up. Imagine both having essays due on the same day. Eugh.
Oh yeah, have fun in concert band. And if no one in your percussion section is playing three positions at once, either they're over staffed or they're wussing out...*basks in nostalgia*

Eh, Star Wars is more fantasy in space than anything.

AMDM is a 12th grade course, and I'm the only one in the class that isn't a senior. I'm also the teacher's pet. And AP Euro is awesome. How many other classes are made up entirely of nerds, who aren't ashamed to be nerds? Last week half the class was discussing Dragonball and other anime while doing actual AP Euro work. And AP Lang hasn't been very demanding so far, and probably won't be until it's time to make essays and other papers. So it's not bad at all, really.

I'm still pissed off at my school for discontinuing AP Euro the year I would be in it.

Trust me, I'm in a class that is a mix of juniors and seniors, GX. Pretty weird as heck, but...life. Now I vanish again for a loooooong time.

For some reason, I had a feeling you would be a teacher's pet, GX. Oddly enough, my teachers either adored me or absolutely despised me. There was never any middle ground. I was either the teacher's pet, or their archenemy. It certainly made for some interesting classes, and some great memories.

I was always a delinquent, but plenty of teachers were under the strangest impression that I'm smart. At least, the ones who weren't determined to make me hate authority.

Anyways, the sci-fi idea is maybe a little clichéd, but it does privilege a unique atmosphere. Most players would probably end up being some of the bio-weapons (called LOTUS [Living Organisms Transmogrified Using Science {the lab team was drunk at the time}]). As for their style, think sort of like Mega Man robot Masters but more serious and varied.

It's not really sci-fi. It's space fantasy (like Star Wars) except with less space and more fantasy.

Sci-fi has to focus on the technology and the implications/questions that come of it. The driving conflict should come from innovation and discovery.
I'm almost tempted to try a swords/sorcery setting sci-fi story...just to see if its possible

I might end up doing the LOTUS (a better name that's also a cool acronym would be appreciated) RP if people want it. Austur and FF are just going slowly. I should get the next TMG post out.

Well, there are a bunch of different bioweapons created in the 70s using alien technology which wasn't fully studied, so it was prone to accidents. Many of these were small animals and such, but these were mostly destroyed. The human ones were too valuable and were sent into space to be used when needed. These human weapons all had special abilities given to them by the technology, but the tech was a part of them, which caused them to have a somewhat unstable consciousness. This was corrected in some versions when needed, but most aren't entirely stable. Granted, they aren't all insane either. Anyways, each has it's own special ability, like one might be able to bend and harden light, while another could create a devastating acid and use it as a weapon. Each one had to be specialized in order to properly handle each one's mechanical parts due to the limitations of the technology. Anyways, they were eventually forgotten and humanity took to space and left them behind. They slowly awaken and find no trace of humanity and try to investigate their apparent disappearance while interacting with new alien forces around the galaxy.
