I live in Georgia. We start early in the south, but usually are out of school by mid to late May. At least that's how things are around here, not sure where Emperor is from. Good old Georgia huh? Depending on where, you're only a few hours drive away from me. I live like 5 hours away from Atlanta.

Maybe not, X. For all I know, I could get sent to Fort Drum, in New York. Or, I could get sent to Fort Benning, Stewart, or Gordon in Georgia. Actually, it's possible I could end up in Fort Gordon as early as next year. I really don't have a permanent address.

I heard about how they move y'all around a lot. Does it ever get tiring?

A little. But I've been to places I probably never would have otherwise. You actually get tossed around a lot more if you're on Active Duty.

My mom told me about that. The places you never would have been part. Sounds fun, but it comes with a price no?

Yes. A price most people couldn't even imagine, especially if you're an officer. War is all fun and games, when you're playing Ghosts on the PS3 or Xbox360. But the real thing is unimaginable, unless you've been on the Front. The day you kill someone for the first time, the day a mistake costs you the life of a friend... The nightmares never stop. That is the real price. It takes away part of your humanity, and you become something else.
But I don't regret joining at all. In fact, it's made me who I am. Nightmares and all.

The most saddening part is the ones who play the war games and find it exciting to kill another player. Really makes you think about their mental physche.

That's why I don't think I could ever join the army even if I could medically. The physical toll is one thing, the emotional and mental tolls are something of a different nature. It takes someone special to understand the cost and still wants to do it. So kudos to anyone who joins the military and is currently enrolled.
Like college isn't for everyone. The army isn't meant for everyone. Not to compare college to the military mind you just that there are certain things are meant for certain people.
I will always have respect for the troops and the people in the military. Even though I know the emotional and mental price is too steep for me. I had a parent, grandparents, uncle (who was a Sargent in the Marie's), even did JROTC ( it was one of my favorite classes to) myself.
If you don't mind me asking Neo what's your rank? If you can't say that's ok I know it might be private.

Hmm... I don't think saying that much would get me in trouble...
O3, Captain.

If politicians fought their wars, the world would be a much nicer place.

I'm not THAT old, Emperor. It takes a very, very long time to reach that Rank. And X, around a decade.

You're younger than I expected. (I wasn't expecting a 50 or 60 year old mind you sir.)
