Is there anyone here that actually uses my PA!Olivia? Maybe my WoM Brave Sword Laslow may be more useful to people for GC.

Someone tried to phish me today. I got the text from 'my bank' at a red light, saw my account was locked, started to open it... Honestly I probably would've except for two things.
I was super pissed about some stuff that happened at work and not in the mood for any nonsense with my bank account. And two I was literally passing my bank at the turn.
So I walked in like 'uh hey so I got this message and between my car and the door I realized it's probably... not good.'

Instead of cannibalizing my new Commander Anthology decks for their manabases and helpful instants/sorceries, I decided to just order new ones once my paycheck is in. Looking at $110 so far, $30 of which is just the shock lands.
Any ideas for cheaper alternatives (I already have the cheaper fetch lands, the pain lands, the multiplayer lands, and the check lands)? My other big expenditures are a Maze of Ith, Reflecting Pool, and Strip Mine at about $11 each.

Battle lands, and maybe the cycling lands from Ahmonket. If you have fetches, go for those. Otherwise look at fast lands and reveal lands (not suggested for 4-5c though). I get away with running almost all basics in my dual-color decks, but that's because one of those colors is green, which lets me search basics.
The shocks and fetches have no substitutes because they offer both speed (etb untapped) and fixing. Lands with basic land types (Alpha duals, shocks, battle lands, cycling lands) let you search them with fetches, and this is especially important in a 4-5c deck since that lets you turn any fetch land into any color you need. If you don't have fetches, or aren't playing a lot of colors, this might not be necessary.
If you aren't full-on optimal, scry lands and tapped tri-lands are fine.
Also, might as well get Homeward Path in your utility land package too.

My fetch lands are the ones that enter tapped. I think the untapped fetch lands are more expensive than the shock lands.

I reduced the cost some by using some filter lands and more affordable lands of other types. Gonna find some other combinations like scry lands and fast lands and see if they make it any better.
EDIT: They did not. Any lands that would make it more affordable to get rid of are just faster than the scry lands and cheaper than the fast lands.

Optimized it with the lands I already have. Got rid of Homeward Path or whatever it's called for cost reasons, though I may replace Ghost Quarter with it since Strip Mine is somehow less expensive than Wasteland (for some reason?).
EDIT: Got rid of Field of Ruin instead of Ghost Quarter. The 2 mana investment for that extra land isn't really worth it when I have Rampant Growth, Cultivate, and Kodama's Reach in a deck with lots of card draw.

Strip mine is limited to 1 in Vintage and banned in Legacy. Wasteland is allowed as 4-of in both, hence the higher demand.
As for budget land destruction lands IMO, Ghost Quarter > Tectonic Edge > Field of Ruin. Encroaching Wastes is a possibility but really isn't worth it. The real reason you want one of these is to hit a utility land like Glacial Chasm, or a huge mana land like Itlimoc/Gaea's Cradle or Cabal Coffers. It might not even come up in a game, so you probably don't need more than one or two, especially when you need 3+ colors.

I dropped guildgates and some less useful dual lands and picked up Krosan Verge (completely forgot about this card). It's surprisingly cheap for what's essentially one of the Onslaught fetch lands.

Oh duh right, Krosan Verge is amazing. Sucks that they never added to that cycle. Some similar (very cheap) lands are teramorphic expanse, evolving wilds, and blighted woodland.
I would prefer to run basics over the guildgates or the ordinary taplands. There's the life lands and manlands if you're desperate for duals, and the bounce lands which are awkward but okay.

The lands I've got in the cart ready to purchase are:
Multiplayer Lands Check Lands Filter Lands Bounce Lands Krosan Verge The U/G double filter land Pain Lands Tap Tri-Land Bant Panorama Ghost Quarter Strip Mine That one really weird White land that can sac for a UG Mana Confluence Command Tower Reflecting Pool Maze of Ith Homeward Path Exotic Orchard City of Brass Rupture Spire
I also already own an Evolving Wilds, Zhafirin Void, Alchemist's Refuge (yay flash), and the pieces of the check and multiplayer Lands that I didn't order copies of.
In this order I've also got more stuff like guild signets, fellwar stone, vigilance enchantments, Cultivate/Rampant Growth, Panharmonicon, and any other instant/sorcery I was considering running from Anthology 2 so I have those precons intact for quick games.
Once I place this order, the only thing left will be to actually get Arcades, sort out my Mana curve, and sort cards in and out until I get an even 100 (cards I'm considering go to about 110).

Oh duh, and I already have a Reliquary Tower and ordered another Sol Ring (good thing it's in every precon or that card would be expensive as s***)

You've officially gone more hardcore on mana base than I ever have, congrats.
But then again the only decks I play that have 3+ colors are from precons, which I would rather crumble into other decks than keep whole. I should probably consider upgrading Markov's mana base though, hm...

OH, right. Lairs are okay for a cheap shard mana base. For Bant it's Treva's Ruins.

Now this is a VG theme I can get behind.
Bracket 1: Marth vs Hardin Sogurd vs Arvis
Bracket 2: L!Ephraim vs Lyon L!Ike vs Zelgius
I think I'll start on Marth.

Turns out Rakdos isn't getting stuff until Ravnica Allegiance, so I guess that's a wait until 2019.
I just want an actually good Rakdos Commander with the new frame to contrast Bant Defender.

Could be fun to contrast Arcades with Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury? Sure, Ur-Dragon is "the" dragon tribal commander, but most of the best aggro dragons are in RB anyways. Her anthem effect applies to all creatures so you could aim to swing with a few dragons and a ton of goblins, for example.
