I just remembered I have a foil Gwafa Hazid in the new legendary card frame (Battlebond reprint) so maybe I'll build a Commander deck around him. I thought you hated Approach of the Second Sun decks. Also here's a bit of speculation for you. The C17 decks were Cats, Vampires, Wizards, and Dragons. In the past year, we had Ahmon-cats, Ixalan vampires, Dominaria wizards, and now Core 2019 is Dragon themed. Since the next year is basically going to be entirely Ravnica, I'm betting that C18 will be mainly dual-color, making use of guild mechanics, on top of the planeswalker theme. Yeah but that's 1v1, not 1v1v1v1. |

Core 2019 just gave Dinos an excellent new card. For two Green and one of any color, the creatures draws you a card whenever an opponent activates any non-mana ability of a creature or land.
EDIT: And a new Wall Tribal Commander. It turns walls into attackers and cantrips.

One thing I didn't realize earlier with the Bolas Flipwalker is that it can be used to bring back the other Bolas Planeswalkers from the graveyard for free. So, find a way to get God-Pharoah into the grave easily and you can basically get two walkers for the price of one, and one of said walkers is arguably the strongest one in all of Commander, since his +1 hits everyone.

Pair that with a bunch of cards with Transmute and it'll be a killer, especially if you flash it in via Vedalkan Orrery. EDIT: and some new Cat Tribal token generators. Core 2019 looks great. Necessary reprints (Shock and Enigma Drake) but so many new cards, a lot of which look very interesting for Commander (I'm gonna make Wall Tribal) |

It's basically 5c Changeling tribal, using all the best tribal support for any tribe, and an enters the battlefield side-strategy. I would put the new Arcades in there since my Changelings would also be walls. The biggest downside is how expensive 5C manabases are. |

I pulled a 3* Effie. Woo. Waiting for more orbs to come in before blowing them all again. Yep. Consider getting the new Battlebond lands. Got a U/W and W/G one, I believe, so perfect for Arcades Walls. I got a bunch of the new duals from my Battlebond playing, but like three of the B/R and none of the R/G which is the color I really want to upgrade Ruric Thar. I play enough to probably justify getting shocks/fetches eventually, but I'm betting on a Shock reprint in Ravnica 3, and if they do that, a Fetch reprint can't be far behind because they KNOW those are in demand for Commander. |

It's not a joke. Shock is being reprinted for Core 2019.
EDIT: Also you can get Shocks for basically free. Two or so copies are included in the free Red starter decks.

I meant Ravnica Shock lands (ETB untapped if you take 2 damage, has two basic land types) and Zendikar Fetch lands (enters untapped, pay 1 life to sacrifice and tutor any land with one of two basic land types) for Commander.
