To be fair, Diablo 3 is really good.
Currently 70 (27) on my Crusader with both the Hallowed Protector Axe and Shield. If only there was an awesome armor to go with it...

Poor cheese I didn't know you had it so bad...... Wait I just remembered we have a psuedo dragon amongst us. So I guess while the dragon's away. I guess we have our pseudo dragon to psuedo lead us. Is it as awesome as a Tarot themed class that's sort of like a multi-domain cleric but more balanced late-game and more linear in progression?

Not sure yet, but it's pretty flipping awesome. I'm having serious flashbacks of FF7 right now though. Or was it FF8? A little bit of both, I suppose.
Currently, I'm on a train heading straight for an Energy Plant, full of unconscious passengers. I have a time limit to defeat the terrorists who hijacked the train and their boss, and I have only the MC and a mysterious returning character from the first game.
.... Sound familiar?

Yeah that was FF7. I never got past the first boss w/ 8 for some reason I couldn't get into 8.

Yeah that was FF7. I never got past the first boss w/ 8 for some reason I couldn't get into 8. 8 was awesome. Best romance out of any FF game, most epic soundtrack and arguably the best cutscenes out of any Soft game, and the hardest final boss in FF history. You even got to go into space. The best part? Even if you cheesed the game with the T-Rex trick, and were level 50 in the beginning of the game, the game was still difficult. |

Speaking of Smex when should we put out an ABP on him its been almost a day since we last saw him on the verse or he's posted. Is he okay? Is he injured? Is he starving?

FFVIII scales enemies to your level, so just grinding to 99 at the beginning like you could in say FFXII actually makes it harder. To really cheese the game you have to run away from random encounters and spam the item/card recycling GF skills to get 99 Ultima, Flare, etc. on all of your stats so you're against puny level 1 enemies with maxed stats. : P It's a lot like FFVI in that respect, except VI doesn't scale so while you're keeping low level until you have better Espers, the game actually gets harder before it gets easier. |
