Still no votes in EH? Come on guys... I really want to write. I'm so excited to continue EH right now, that I have a bit of WB for everything else.

I voted. By the way The Black Keys were amazing live. I'm a little disappointed that Cage the Elephant couldn't continue the tour with them but they're coming in December so I can go to that show.

Well they aren't metal, but they're one of the few current acts I like.

Quick Soundtrack update. Placed in spoiler tags, for possible major spoilers, if you're clever enough to find the connection. This next choice is fairly important, as it will not only decide your starting class, but also which Gaiden Chapter you can unlock in Chapter 2. There are three different possible Gaiden Chapters, for Chapter 2x of Kryian's Tale.

What is this, Kingdom Hearts? ;D
Here's a breakdown of the new battle system in EH. It's similar to the Reaction Commands from KH2. During story Boss Battles(So, important battles not random Bandit Leaders) you will have a small chance to activate 'Overdrive'. This chance increases if characters score a critical hit, activate certain skills, are S Ranked paired up, or if they're fighting an 'Antagonist'. Antagonists are villains or other characters that are special to the PC in some way or another. For example, if Kryian is fighting the Blood General, then he'll have a better chance to activate Overdrive.
Overdrive is essentially the Limit Break of this CYOA. It temporarily raises your stats, and gives you the chance to activate what is called a 'Reaction Chain'.
A Reaction Chain, in EH, is basically the same thing from KH2, with some tweaks. It allows you to attack an enemy multiple times without being counterattacked, dealing extra damage and even adding extra effects to your attacks. However... You must choose the right options during a Reaction Sequence, otherwise the Chain will end.
There will always be subtle hints to the correct choices, so it's not completely guesswork. If you are able to successfully land 3 or more hits in a Reaction Chain, then you will be able to unleash that character's Coup de Grace, which is essentially their Limit Break.
In order to use their Coup de Grace, a character must be in a Tier 2 or above class. However, for this battle, there will be an exception, since it is basically your Prologue boss fight. If you can pull off a 3 hit combo, and the demon still lives, you'll get your first look at Kryian's true power.

So... I believe I promised some details about Kryian's new class, no?
Magic Knight: A class loosely based off the Dread Fighters from Awakening. It is a largely offensive class with high strength and magic, and a strong emphasis in speed and skill. However, its defensive capabilities are below average. Think Swordmaster, but with better strength and much better magic. The growth rates for the class are also much better than Swordmaster or Dread Fighter. This class counts as a promoted class, but like all Unique Classes, it has slightly better EXP gain and a Lv 30 level cap.
Class Tree
N/A(Tier 1) - Magic Knight(Tier 2) - Blood Knight(Tier 3)
Tier 2 focuses on Slayer Skills and Stat boosting. Tier 3 focuses on Dark Magic, and using it to heal, cast party and self buffs, and increase damage at the cost of the user's HP. When a Blood Knight uses Blood Magic, he/she cannot be healed until the next turn.
Class Skills
Magic Knight: Lv 1 Beastslayer, Magic+2
Lv 15 Dragonslayer
Lv 30 All Stats+2, Sacred Blade(Allows this unit to deal bonus damage to Undead, Demons, Entities, and any unit with a Dark Attribute. All Dark Attribute damage is halved)
Blood Knight: Lv 1 Shadowgift, Blood Oath(Allows this unit to use basic Blood Magic. By sacrificing 10 HP, this unit can heal all nearby units for 10 HP+Mag. Rng-5)
Lv 15 Judgement(Calls down beams of light from the blue, striking the enemy 4-8 times in rapid succession. DMG is equal to Mag. Trigger%= Mag÷4)
Lv 30 Scarlet Throne(Allows this unit to use advanced Blood Magic, in addition to basic Blood Magic. By sacrificing HP, this unit can raise any 1 ally's stats by an equal amount, up to 20. By sacrificing 10 HP, this unit can raise its own stats by 10 for one turn once per battle. By sacrificing 30 HP, all allies become immune to Status Ailments for 3 turns. By sacrificing Max HP-1, this unit can smite one enemy on the field once per battle. This is an automatic KO. Story Bosses are unaffected), Unholy Light (This unit is treated as both a Light and Dark Attribute. In battle, this unit radiates a powerful dark aura. Any enemy within 1 space has their Hit Rate reduced by 20. All damage is reduced by 10. Lethality and all instant KO skills are negated)

I have a feeling Cheese will recognize those swords in the last update, since one is from Welsh mythology, one is from Arthurian, and the other is the sword once used by the namesake of Cheese's most unique character. This is totally not an attempt to jumpstart AotS again. Certainly not. Also, in Act II, when you reach the aforementioned Forge, you can also create the other Ultimate Weapons, as well as different unique weapons and unique items, using Shards of Alondell. You currently have 5 Shards of Alondell. There are a total of 100 Shards of Alondell, scattered throughout the world. You may find some as rewards for Sidequests, or hidden in dark dungeons, or just as loot in some chapters. If you collect all of them, you may be able to reforge Alondell itself... While I won't say anything more until you actually reach that part in the story, I will give you a teaser. Unsealed Dyrnwyn + 1 Shard of Alondell = Ragnell. Ragnell + Unsealed Lionheart + 20 Shards of Alondell = ???

"By sacrificing 30 HP, all allies become immune to Status Ailments for 3 turns." Question! Will this get rid of existing status ailments? And I honestly saw it as being hard to not recognize those blades, but in hindsight I can see them being fairly unknown.

It will only prevent further ailments for the specified time. And which blades are you talking about? Ragnell and Alondite? Or Drynwyn, Caliburn, and Solais? The three elemental blades are relics of a lost people, so obviously no one would know of those. Ragnell and Alondite haven't even been forged yet, let alone blessed by Ashunera. The swords don't exist yet.

I was talking about the trio of blades, and was talking about how you mentioned Cheese specifically as being capable of recognizing the etymology, extending it to all the readers.

Sorry, I'm a bit tired tonight. Cheese has his own CYOA, which deals heavily in Welsh, Celtic, and Arthurian mythology, so he knows a bit on the subjects, whereas a lot of people don't. And one of Cheese's most unique characters is Nuada, a shape shifting demon. Nuada was the Irish Godking, and the Lord of the Tuatha De Danann, and his mighty weapon was the Clalomh Solais, the Sword of Light. Hence why I mentioned Cheese specifically.

Argagagagaga.... That last post took almost two hours to finish, and almost half an hour to proofread. I'm proud of it though. That post felt so natural to me. It's been a long time since my writing has felt so fluid. My terrible internet almost caused me to lose the post a couple times, and I raged a bit, but I still got it done and I'm happy about it. Now, time for a new mechanic. The World MapThe Overworld in EH is much more involved and interactive than the Overworld in UB. While traveling across the land of Canaan, or any of the other continents, you may chance upon 'Random Encounters', which can mean finding dungeons, stumbling upon a bandit raid, or a secret boss fight, or even a new character. You may even cross paths with a certain red haired merchant. You can also stumble upon Character Scenes, which is a special scene between two compatible characters. Character Scenes raise Affection by 10, and grant Support points. For the next battle, the characters will also have better boosts while paired up, and a much better chance to activate a Reaction Chain. Here are some of the possible encounters on the World Map, from most common to rarest. Merchant Caravan- 50% Dungeon(1-5 Floors)- 48% Travelling Bard/Troubadour- 45% Mercenary for hire(Will fight for you for 1 battle)- 42% Character Scene- 40% Dungeon(6-8 Floors)- 35% Bandit Raid(5-10)- 35% Traveling Circus- 30% Medium Bandit Raid(11-15)- 28% Soldiers on patrol(Friendly or Enemy)- 28% Large Dungeon(9-14 Floors)- 25% Anna Encounter- 25% Large Scale Bandit Raid(16-25)- 22% Suspicious Apothecary- 22% Traveling Monk- 22% Rare Merchant Caravan- 20% A Formidable Foe- 20% Secret Item Dealer- 18% Giant Dungeon(15-25 Floors)- 18% Gheb's Bandits- 15% Bazba's Last Stand(Only if the Sidequest The Bandit King has been completed)- 15% Unknown Dungeon(26-50 Floors)- 10% Legendary Merchant- 10% A New Comrade- 10% An Old Friend- 8% Dark Anna- 5% Legendary Dungeon(51-100 Floors)- 1% Unique EncountersThe Giant of the West(Only in Etruia)- 5% The Legendary Swordsman(Only in Ignias)- 5% A Fiery Rematch(Only in Canaan, and only in Kryian's Tale. Must have completed the Final Chapter, Endgame)- 5% The Monkey King(Only in Grace)- 5% A Tragic Figure(Only in Verris Deran, if Tara and Ismaire are recruited, Ena is alive, and Endgame is completed)- 5% The Stormbringer(Only in Etruia, if Valerie and Morgan are recruited, Azura is alive, and Endgame is completed)- 5% The Pale Blade(Only in Mount Annir, after Endgame. Starts the Sidequest "Thicker than Blood")- 5% Gilgamesh, The Gold Knight- 1% Barbatos, The Pirate King- 1% The Demon King- 1% The Leviathan(Only at sea)- 1% Morgana le Fay(???)- 1% A Disgraced Duke(Only in Canaan, after Endgame, if you chose not to kill Duke Vaas in Act 1)- 1% A Fallen King(Only in Mount Annir, after Endgame, if you chose not to kill King Isglean in Act 2)- 1% A Fading Shadow(Only in Valgarde, after Endgame, if you chose not to kill Anastasia in the Final Act)- 1% The Blood General(Only in Sanna, after Endgame, if you completed all the Gaiden Chapters, recruited Duke Vaas and Anastasia, and Ismaire, Ena, Azura, Kryian, and Geoffrey are alive)- 1%
You can always retreat from Dungeons, if you accidentally stumble upon a tough one. If you accidentally stumble upon Barbatos or Gilgamesh, don't fret. You have the option to fight or flee.

Oh, and the World Map theme is the same as EH's main theme: youtube.com/watch?v=fCqrmqatK-4 I'm going to start working on creating EH's map, after I finish the final draft of OZ. Between this and the sequel, I fully expect EH to become an even grander saga than UB. And yes, if you hadn't realized it yet, the Prelude is a full CYOA on its own now.

If you're worried about losing stuff like that, you could get an add-on. There're a few that save the stuff you put in text fields, like I'm doing right now, so that you won't lose it. I could close my browser three different times and still have this post. I use Lazarus, but you might find something you like better or not be using a compatible browser.

Well, the main problem is my phone. I hate posting on my computer, and my phone is a piece of junk. The internet connection goes out on it every time Bluetooth stops working, which is 30-50 times a day, and the internet randomly decides to slow to a screeching halt, stop working all together, or just make my touch keyboard stop working. I don't think there is a mobile version of Lazarus, and even if there were, once I finally upgrade, I won't have to worry anymore.
