Hmmm... my pitch would be we infiltrate the Demon Cult then betray the Hell out of them once there's no more witnesses to worry about and have a talk with the still captive Mistress before the authorities arrive and we tell them all about how we stopped the cult from saving her. I think it's important we get to talk with her before she get's sent back deep in the dungeons or the King decides he'd rather just do away with her more permanently.

I think outright infiltrating the Dark Mistress's organization would be a taaaaaad difficult. We'd be much better off simply trying to talk to her while she's chained up in the plaza.

I think outright infiltrating the Dark Mistress's organization would be a taaaaaad difficult. We'd be much better off simply trying to talk to her while she's chained up in the plaza. Well, we'd need some way to make it private, since it's possible the guards are compromised. Manipulating her people and having them dispose of the guards before we dispose of them is HIGHLY MORALLY QUESTIONABLE if it turns out the guards are on our side potentially convenient, but if we went that route we'd need to be certain the High King isn't actually on our side the Dark Mistress' people in question who we manipulate aren't several orders of magnitude stronger than us. I mean... it doesn't necessarily have to be her elite we "help"... I think it's an idea we could explore if we decide the icons closely tied to Axis and its citizenry might be behind this. But not before looking into that.

I'm making notes about the stuff said in discussion and changing potential encounters as we go along[ ]I haven't actually had to change much yet, which means I did a good job predicting all the routes you might take!

Party hideout idea: Greil's old guild building is now a small Inn. Nice place, not too fancy, probably wouldn't attract too much attention. And it's the perfect size for secret-y stuff. Would be around 84 or so gold for a week depending on what Birb decides, and everyone gets private rooms. Greil can easily cover the costs.
What do you guys think?

Cheaper if you decide to room up. Though I don't think Mousernet or Tanith Grumpypants or Fenia Clankbot are going to be down for it.

If we ever need to go to the edges of the empire, we can all stay in Adam's house.

If we ever need to go to the edges of the empire, we can all stay in Adam's house. And Greil still has his house in the Frost Mountains. That'd work too. Btw, speaking of Adam, what's his Cha mod? He'll probably end up being the party face sometimes. He's probably better suited to talking to Axis guards and whatnot than Greil is under most circumstances.

Tanith only avoids particular people when she's not avoiding civilization altogether for self-preservation. She doesn't hate people in general, and her odds of staying alive while with the party are much better than before, and she's actually going to end up liking most (or all) of them. She'll have no problems with that idea.

Adam has a CHA mod of +1, but he might be able to leverage his position with them better since they're mostly human guards (I think) and he's an Imperial Guard himself, just not one in the city.

So he and Greil have the same Cha mod. Greil's good with mercs or older guards or officials who remember the Tarrasque battle. He also has some knowledge of business stuff and is good with kids.

I don't think she'll have a problem with them in the long run, but she doesn't seem like the quick-to-trust-enough-to-share-a-bed type. 1 gold per room per night, and up to 2 in a room.

I mean, if Adam dies or is otherwise removed from the party (fairly likely until a certain something that I've talked with Crow about happens), my next character will have a high CHA mod.
So...

Sharing a bed, probably not just yet. Sharing a room is fine. Tanith would pay for her own room unless Greil insisted or if it's a better rate to get them all at once. If she ends up sharing a room with someone at some point, it's worth considering putting her and Fenia together, to ensure Aimie has as little information about anything as possible.

I also recommend rooming Fenia and Tanith together. Feels like the right amount of chemistry.
Also, it would be fun to have each pair in a room have their own 10-20 minute RP session thingy.

Greil's gonna insist on his own private room. But he's not gonna stop anyone from coming in and talking to him. He's also going to be spending a lot of time at the bar or in the common area.
