I know, and I fully intend to participate. But I'm just so tired right now... I even tried updating UB, and couldn't do it... So I'm not really in a state to come up with a great idea. I promise I'll have one soon though. I already have something brewing for the Skaal Questline.

I'm slowly starting to get over my writer's block. Hopefully I'll be able to post in Austur by tonight as well.

Well... I haven't really had writing block, just waiting for people to post in the RP's. I finally decided to just break the ice.
Though..... I'm thinking of replacing Siegemund, but it's far to late for that. He seems... Boring, and far to aggressive. Clearly not my best character.

So guys, in a hypothetical FF RP, what classes would you guys like to see?

Hint: When Golurk says 'hypothetical' when he's talking about some concept for a RP or CYOA, he really means 'upcoming'.

Hmm... Besides all the normals, let's see... Berserker, Paladin, Weaponmaster, some kind of spear wielding Battlemage, and... Some kind of dragon. I want to play as dragon sent by the ancients to stop Bahumut. I assume Bahumut will be in the RP?

That would be interesting. Final fantasy Tactics is the spiritual successor of Tactics Ogre. Although, I admit my interest in FF has waned to barely anything. I'm probably biased though since Tactics ogre had great characters, and a great plot tha some consider to be better than FFT. Bonus is that they were made by the same person.
Denam Morne for the win.
I'm getting off topic... Not sure what classes I would want in there. Only game I've actually played from the FF series was the remake of FFT, FF2 and FF3(iphone) As I said before, I've lost interest in FF unless it is Tactics.
I got a feeling Neo will join though... That gamefaqs username... I'll try to participate, but can't really promise. Looking at Austur, I'm sure it will be great. ....Darn, now you got me wanting to make a TO RP >.>
I'll patiently wait til it is up. To this date, Ramza IMO still remains one of the best FF protaganists to date.

Emperor, I want to say, each game in the FF series plays differently, so you might want to try some of the other ones too. Also, there are two other FFT games as far as I'm aware, but I haven't played them yet.

Bahamut will be in the RP, but he's not a villain and he's a summon.
We have Berserker and Paladin, and I can't remember what a Weaponmaster is. We already have the closest thing to a Battlemage (Mystic Knight). The RP does use a set in stone battle system ala FFIII and each class has two versions (simple and advanced). Simple classes have one skill, advanced classes have three. Due to the fact that there are some very specific plot details that are spoilers involving dragons and such, I can't allow people to use them as a playable race. The character I have in mind sorta breaks that rule, but that's because I'm using him as a way to keep the plot moving steadily and to introduce certain mechanics. Plus something will happen to all the characters at the end is really badass and you'll get your wish then.

The FFT games are FFT:WotL, FFTA, FFTA2:GotR, and I think there's another one.
FF2 is meh, FF3 is good, FF4 is great, FF6 is almost as good, and FF5 is my favorite.

Also, there are two other FFT games as far as I'm aware, but I haven't played them yet. I know. Haven't played the other two, but they get tons of complaints despite being set in Ivalice like WotL. They dumbed the gritty ness and political intrigue along with dark theme to.... 8 year old games >.> advance 1 and two are basically children atmosphere games. Nothing wrong with that, but it just lost interest. Then again I took a liking to LUCT, because of its realistic view. Social class warfare, exploring the cultures of the Bakram, Galgastani, Walister. The oppression, the Dark knights. The valerian isles. All done into one perfect game with amazing pacing, memorable characters like Ozma and her twin brother, the insane Oz. unfortunely, I broke my PSP and can't find TO:LUCT. On topic and half off, Whiterun is snowy... I'm voting for the Squire class. Not because Ramza was OP- I mean it's a good class and considered FF despite being a spin off.

The Squire class is somewhat pointless with the current roster though.

Actually, I take that back.
The Squire class is entirely pointless.

FF1 is great when you want a simple RPG, it was my first FF game too, and I love it. FF2, you're probably better off skipping. FF3 I can't really say much about, since I haven't played much. FF4 is good. FF7 is solid when it comes to gameplay, but probably has the most scatterbrained story (at least in the beginning) of all the FF games I've played, and don't try to play this if graphics matter to you. FF10 (which I'm playing as I type this) is probably my personal favorite, but it's also more linear than the previous games, but still really fun to play. FF12 is so unique, it's sort of a love it or hate it situation, since the world is absolutely huge, gameplay is very different than the others, and it has a style of grinding that will remind you of an MMO. FF13 isn't actually bad at all, but is very linear for most of the game, and since over half of the game is pretty much still the tutorial...
