Alright. So you're saying Titus Mede II is distantly relate to. Titus Mede the first?

Much like the Septims, the entire Mede dynasty was destroyed by Sithis, when he sacked Cyrodiil. The last Emperor was Emperor Titus Septim IX. Titus Mede's Great Grandson adopted the Septim sir name in a controversial ploy for power, but the current dynasty before Sithis breached the Dragonfires was still the Mede dynasty. There are ways to work around the destruction of the Medes, however, where your character is concerned. Maybe because of his mixed heritage, your character was never allowed near the capital, and thus spared from Sithis' wrath? The Dread Lord wouldn't necessarily know of your character, unless he had a reason to look, and Sithis believes he has killed all the possible heirs to the throne. Siegmund could still gain the throne, despite mixed heritage, simply because he is the only one left with a blood claim. Also, being a hero helps.

When Sithis breached the Dragonfires, they were destroyed? If so, that could make for some very interesting plot points and would further solidify my grand plan.

Yes, when Sithis first breached the Dragonfires, they were destroyed in the process. Tamriel is basically one big playground for the Daedra now.

So does that mean I have to rewrite parts of my last post. I don't think the info was revealed to anyone but the family.

Right. Now this beckons how I can solve this big mess I've created. What should Siegemunds familial tie be to Titus septim IX?

Okay, that changes a few motives for Dagon in my plot, but strengthens the overall plausibility.

I say a 3rd cousin's son of illegitimate birth would be the most plausible.

So make Herman a third cousin?
You lost me on the illegitimate part.

He'd most likely be an extramarital child due certain cultural things.

Mm.
I think I get what you mean.
Have Herman bee the 3rd cousin of the emperor and have Siegemund be his illegitimate son? By son I mean Hermans.
I could do that, but it would take a few memory induced italic before I got to that. The reason I did that was to cement his back story. There's a deeper plot under neath everything after all

Good heavens I just confused myself.
Siegemund as the 3rd cousin or Herman?

No. Siegmund's father would be the third cousin of the emperor.

Right, so Herman would be the grandchild of the emperors great grandparents first cousin yes?
Next, you're going to tell me Siegemund is the emperors 4th cousin?

Sorry, but I've never got the entire 2nd cousin 3rd cousin and definetly 4th cousin thing. Confusing me to no end.
Just how far down the line is Siegemunds blood connection? Apparently he is te great great great grandchild.
This ancestry thing is frustrating.

Talked with Neo about to play up the relationship of Hircine and Fransis. Settled on Hircine not being the actual dad ( when this is revealed Hircine is overjoyed high giving everyone in the crowd and Fransis momruns backstage soibbing).

Good griefs Golur, if you could kindly explain in detail I would probably understand. I'm looking up crazy amount of the definitions and stuff and they serve to confuse me more. I get the part of Herman being an illegitimate 3rd cousin but nothing else.
