Kiran heads to the library. Well, it's not a library so much as a kinda-nice study with a pair of large bookcases... Which are empty.
...
Laaaame. No secret book-moving lock things? He checks and the shelves aren't even flush with the wall! No hidden passages, nothing! Why is this abandoned house just a normal house?
...And why is there a police car outside?
Kiran hears someone coming in downstairs. So does Tia. She looks at Kiran curiously. "Police? ...Aren't they like mall security guards, but stronger?"
"Uh, yeah, basically..."
"Who's in here? Come out!" a voice - probably a policeman officer - calls from downstairs.
(A) "...Hide."
(B) Jump out the window.
(C) "Come in! I'm up in the study!"
(D) Look to Tia to decide for you

"Hide!" Kiran orders Lamia.
"OK!" She looks around the room. There's not exactly a lot of options... She ends up hiding behind the curtain, while Kiran ducks behind the door.
Whoever's in the house walks up the stairs and seems to go towards the bedroom, then turns towards the study like a homing missile. "I know you're in there. Both of you!"
"...Meow?" Kiran asks.
"Don't try that crap! You've been leaving prints in the dust!" the investigator says. Wait, Kiran knows that voice...
"Ms. Evermore?" Kiran calls out.
"Kiran?" She walks into the room. In full police uniform.
"Um... Are we coming out now?" Tia asks. She slips out from hiding. "Hello, Ms. Somnis' Mom..."
"Hello, Tia. Kiran, what are you doing here? Are you being a bad influence?"
(A) Yes... Sorry.
(B) It's all Tia's fault!
(C) We're looking for ghosts.
(D) I'm just showing Tia, y'know, the sights around town...
(E) I have no idea what we're here for.
(F) It's a secret!
(G) I got lost. And confused.
(H) We're looting this place!
(I) We're investigating the other world!
(J) YOU'LL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!

Kiran looks at his feet. "Yes, ma'am... We were looking for ghosts."
...
Kiran gets a long lecture about responsibility and being a good role model for the foreign student. The lecture continues as she drives them home to Kiran's place. Kiran learns a lot about... things... Well, OK. He wasn't paying the best attention, but he picked up on the overall feeling, at least.
Kiran's Kindness increases!
After Kiran gets out of the car, Somnis' mom asks Lamia where she's staying so she can take her.
"Oh, I'm staying here," Tia says.
"...Huh?"
"Yeah! With Kiran and Dogachu! They're being really nice."
"...Right... Without supervision. While Kiran's father is... Well, I guess he was supposed to be home by now and you couldn't just back out on this... Hrm. Then you need to be even better of an influence, Kiran! And call if you need anything."
...That was enough adventure for one day... Kiran makes sure Lamia's got the basics of the homework down, then heads to bed. She, uh... Not that Lamia's stupid, she's just a bit ignorant of the human world. Once Kiran goes through a few basic things, she takes off.
And Kiran goes to sleep...

Kiran dreams of a pristine lake. A beautiful, blue-skinned woman glides along the water's surface as if on a mirror. As she twirls and spins, droplets fly from her fingertips and toes, sending small ripples across the water's surface in a pattern as hypnotic as her dance. Small beads of sweat dot her brow as the intensity of her movements reaches a climax.
Suddenly, she stops. Kiran feels... sad that it ended. What's more, she seems to be staring straight at Kiran - for a moment, he has a flashback of Mercia. "Inbrimmer," she says.
Kiran staggers back as a figure seems to rise from the ground itself. This figure... is humanoid, masculine, but the skin seems to shimmer and glow and flash and shift to blend into the environment. Kiran wouldn't have noticed him if he hadn't been pointed out. It's like trying to watch a dust mote.
The blue-skinned woman pads across the water's surface. "I've told you you're free to watch, but I still expect you to announce yourself." Her voice is as melodic and entrancing as her dance.
The near-invisible figure bows its head in apology. "My apologies, Nirvir. I was bewitched by your grace and feared you may stop. Mercia has sent a messenger," he says, his voice as faint as a whisper in the wind. "The heir of flame has been found. Captured."
"Dragon's daughter? What wonderful news."
"Yes. Mercia is meeting the fool who revealed her tonight. She plans to offer the daughter's life for the flame guardian soul."
"Not negotiating with Dragon directly?"
"You know how that would go."
"Mm. True. And Lamia?"
"Still missing."
"So much for Mercia's claim to see 'everything,'" the woman says with a smirk.
A bolt of lightning flashes through the sky at that exact moment. It strikes the lake's surface and she screams in pain. She collapses into the shadowy man's arms...

Kiran gets woken up by then heads to school with Somnis and Lamia. Nothing particularly interesting happens during the day.
You do get a message from Natsumi, though. "By the way, don't tell anyone anything about the you-know-what. And don't message me about it. I already told Somnis. We can talk in private after the art festival!"

Kiran heads to the Occult club. Emo, the guy with the camera, and Mattea are here. And a new girl Kiran's never spoken to before. She's in his class, showed up yesterday out of nowhere - a bit on the tall side, platinum-blonde hair, purple eyes. Dressed in a green cloak with a skull brooch. Weird. But, somehow, Kiran can't help but think it's kinda... sexy.
Buttons is trying something kind of different today. Instead of trying to summon a demon, you all take turns reading ancient myths and legends in a dimly lit room complete with a smoke machine. How did Buttons get permission to set this up?
Kiran gains a Guts.
Emo and Camera head off together.
