I didn't think we could get ranks with Guardians.

The group gets distracted from the previous conversation. Rather, they all silently agreed they needed to change the subject. Kiran and Lamia spend some time bouncing ideas off each other and watching Somnis squirm. "If I'd known you two were such sadists, I wouldn't have made that deal..." she complains.
"You're not backing out, are you?" Kiran asks. He pokes her stomach accusingly.
"Of course not!" Somnis says. She puffs up with bravado. "I'm just worried about what I unleashed on the world."
"We're just teasing you," Lamia assures her.
"Some light payback for all the early-morning ambushes and things," Kiran agrees. "We'll let you off the hook... for now."
Somnis has to leave to finish her homework, leaving Kiran alone with his new housemate. And Dogachu, who seems to have taken a liking to her. It's mutual - he's warm and likes sitting in Lamia's lap.
"So... Uh... Yeah. This is... kind of awkward..." Kiran admits. "I guess it'll be easier in a few days. Erm... So... You know where the bathroom and towels are... Your outfit should be in the wash. We should probably take you to get some proper clothes sometime soon. Dad's room is down that way, so... I'm gonna get to bed, and you can shout if you need anything."

Did we ever dream of Lamia though? I know we have her as part of the team but I don't think we ever dreamed of her. Maybe learn why exactly she tried to strangle us. Also learn a little bit about who Merica is and why she was so desperate as another guardian to take her soul.

The painful memories will spill out of her as we raise her rank. Besides, the dream won't likely give you the answers you're looking for. They're way too abstract for that.

But we have just a good of chance of learning anything useful about a Guardian that can either be next or the next to last guardian. As we do about learning anything useful from Lamia.
Besides is it really going to hurt anything if we just dream of Lamia right now and pick another guardian next dream.

But it's just one dream we are talking about out of hundreds of dreams that are possible.
Besides the only dream that was useful was Merica because apparently she knew us.
The dreams aren't a finite resource that if we use one now then we will never have a chance again. We have plenty of dreams and more then enough chance to learn about the others.
Its not like materials or anything like that where you never know where your going to get it or actively harvest it.
