It's time to face facts. No more dancing around the subject. The Verse is dead.
But that doesn't mean it has to stay dead. We are still around and what happens next is in our hands. We make the decisions here. And the choice I've made is to revive this place. This thread is entirely dedicated to the work of bringing life back here. This is our final chance to do anything. Neo is gone, so it's up to us to put things back together. We now lead ourselves.
I will be using this post to keep track of current projects and ideas so you may check what is currently active. I will also be using this to keep track of currently active RPs. This way we will be able to track our progress. Now, let's get to work. My next post will detail our first projects and order of business.

Alright, first things first. We need to build things back from the ground up. So you know what we need to start with? Rules. We need new rules. Using the old ones as a guideline would not be a terrible idea, but I believe there are some issues that are left addressed. For example, what we do when someone drops out or when someone becomes inactive. I wish to have a full on discussion of new rules here. Anyone may join in.
As with the rules, let's start with profanity. How should we handle swearing? Should we censor specific words? Should we censor anything?
Secondly, our first project. The revival of Austur. Now, before we do anything with Austur, it is important to remember it's not ours. It looks like the one who made it was Golurk, so we should consult him about any official Austur business. However, there is nothing that says we can't create our own Austur spinoff. If Golurk feels particularly attached to Austur and wants to keep everything as it is, that's fine. We can simply create our own world that works with some aspects of Austur and create a new one under a new name. Different, yet similar. It's important to remember that we must respect the original creator's wishes. We will not be resetting anything without their official okay, but we can take inspiration from something and make something new with it.
Those should be good starting points. Also, remember that you may bring up whatever you like as long as it relates to the revival of the Verse.

I would make a game, but I'm bad at doing that. I'm only good at MS Paint and making really "bad" characters.

We don't need to change the base rules about profanity and censorship.
I already proposed new rules about inactivity and nothing really came from it.
We've had more RP activity in the last few days than in the last 3 or 4 months combined.
I don't think we need to rush to make any big changes.
Talk to GX about Austur reboots, Golurk handed it over to her.
I don't know what's going on with main theater Nova, but I'm going to be unblocked once Emmpy takes over Micah.
As for CYOA, I'm just... not in the mood right now.

Just have you thought about bringing some of your vitcon style of games over here.
Now lets face the facts. The Verse has been dying for a while now not just because someone ran away. No this was coming for a long time now. So its not all because Neo went away because of reasons. No its because we allowed ourselves to become splintered as a group. Where it felt like we couldn't talk about anything really.
Now with Neo "gone" now is a chance to rebuild the Verse.
First off lets make a list of projects we want to work on. Lets focus on the projects we want to countinue and which ones we just let fade into obscurity.
Heres what I want to work on:
Arstur Revival/Spinoff
Nova
Oz
MKC
Smash game/ RP
Pokemon type game in the sense of the original type.
Now for Arstur I already listed some ideas.

Just saying, I haven't joined anything yet because all games seems to be long running game.
If you are rebooting a RP or making a new one though, I'll definitely look into joining.

Emppy did something neat once.
I think you should be able to flag major RP/CYOA posts for review, asking that others leave some feedback/critisism on it. I feel like that would increase the level of engagement people have and can work sort of like a "hype engine" for the more long drawn out stories.

Hey Mally have you thought about joining Oz. Its kinda of in a reboot/restart phase. If your worried because you have a lack of verse characters Emppy let Mystic have characters from Gamefaqs and Verse join. I have a couple of characters from Gamefaqs and Vitcon in here (the Pokemon Pixy, Chlortles the Gengar, and Fen Fen the Delphox) |

Alright, looking at the rest of the rules, they seem fine as well. Only issue I noticed is number three doesn't appear to be upheld well. There's never any action against fighting each other over stupid things. That needs to change. Temporary ban to keep them away and allow them to cool off before descending into full on fighting is normally what I do on Vitcon if PMs and staff warnings don't work.
As for rules with inactivity and such, I think we should follow through with proper punishment and I'll find a way to construct some and present them here.
Crow, I believe if there's a time to make changes, it should be now or things will follow a cycle and fall back to where they always have been. If I'm told to stop, I will, but this is my attempt at doing something. I feel someone needed to take charge of things and help put everything together, so that's what I'm doing.

As soon as I get home from work(and shower) I'm posting in Nova. Thrn hH should be able to podt and we can work on things from there. I believe there was something planned about Austin and Corva finding X's characters?
Also, I am officially going to stsrt work on a One Piece CYOA as well as domething else I haven't decided on yet.
I'm also looking into writing in the Novels/Short Stories section.
Crow, if you don't mind cpuld you repost those proposed rules? I remember reading them before and thinking they were interesting enough.
I like Emppy's idea about being able to have some way of critiquing posts. It'll get us more involved in eachother's writing so we can all improve as a whole.
Just, I know you're busy, but we could try and work on actually getting Crystals started or rethink it before starting it.
We could look at other older RPsn gauge interest in revival then take appropriate action and work on it if enough people would join.

I don't mind if you guys want to start Crystals on your own. I don't particularly want to run it at this moment, but I'm all for giving it to someone else and letting you guys use it. MKC I will evetually to posting on a semi regular basis. I am going to do a mini reboot of it soon. Just need to not get lazy.
I still kinda of want to do Smash war of the worlds but right now I feel like I am just spinning wheels.
Plus I kinda of just lost the will to really post or anything really. Oz moving again is helping.

I need all of this to slow down a little so I can look over things. I am the admin of this site right now. You talk to me about rules. Crow, I've been meaning to add those new rules officially, but I've just been too busy to do it.
The way rules are enforced is a topic of discussion for moderation staff. I don't mind members giving their two cents in things. But in the end it's up to staff.
There will be no overhauls of rules right at this time, as I'm setting up a transition for a new admin. I am not taking questions about that at this time, and I will not tolerate anyone going behind my back to find out any of the details of the switch. You'll know in plenty of time. During the transition there will be a discussion of Verse policy and rules in order to perserve the best things about the culture of this site while also refining it to something in line with the rising admin's vision.
Until then, if you want things to work the way they do in Vitcon, keep it on Vitcon.
And if I see any more comments implying that specific people are to blame for the inactivity on the Verse, I will come down hard on it. Everyone here is a member who helps shape things. The blame is shared.
Are we clear on all of this?
An Austur reboot or spinoff won't have any resistance from me, but it's up to all interested parties to decide together how to procede.

You should at least look at and consider a difference in rule enforcement. Especially number 3. I've never seen action taken before. Only empty threats. And while I would like to say please try to bring it up during the staff discussion, I also don't believe there ever will be a staff discussion. Speaking honestly, the staff doesn't do anything. In the time I've been here, I've never once seen action taken upon breaking rules or any significant changes made by staff. Without enforcement or action, there may as well not even be a staff.
My intention was never to make the Verse into Vitcon. That would be pointless and stupid.
Nobody has said anyone is at fault for anything.
I don't mean to come off as rude. I'm simply speaking my mind. I don't want to feel like I have to avoid subjects and say everything's okay. In no way am I attempting to attack anyone or hurt anyone.
