You could always do a custom race.

If you're fine with amphibians, there's Grippli.

Oh, actually, for aquatic stuff in general, there's the Cerulean Seas 3PP stuff. It's great for nautical campaigns and even undersea campaigns.

There's also the Gillman race. It'd make for a good tanky Paladin or Bloodrager.

Probably not going to have time tonight at any decent EST hour, but thanks for the offer. I want an aquatic race. Can anyone suggest better than Merfolk or Undine? Bonus if it can have tentacles. If I'm going to do shield and sword I want two of each at the same time. A: No. B: Deep One Hybrid

Also I'm pretty sure there's rules when it comes to having extra limbs. I think it's with the alchemist stuff.

OK! I have an idea for character. I'm going to go ahead and start putting together their sheet, because that helps me figure out who they are and what their backstory is.
...Also this is an exercise in reminding myself how to make pathfinder characters... And it'd be easier to level them up later than make a new one.

Oh, yeah! Something I forgot to mention about starting languages. I think you get extra ones if you have enough intelligence, but I need to figure out why I think that or find it in the book... I know you get a new one for each rank in linguini Linguistics.
Edit: Almost immediately found it.
You get all your racial base languages at least. If your Int mod is at least 1, you get extra languages equal to your mod. If your mod is negative, just your base. If your total Int is 3 or less, you don't even get that.

'K. I, uh... now that you know the basics of making a character sheet goodly, want to try going back to the complex one? I think it may actually be a lot better now that I've played with the simple one.
Theoretically most of Rinoa's stuff should still be in. If not I'll fix it myself if you want, seeing as it would be my fault.
Scratch that. For now. I'll be smart and test it out in STARS first, because I just want to play with it a bit and answer some questions. But... there is some chance I'll recommend going back, if... eh, bridge to cross when I check it. I'll do it as soon as I get back from an errand.

Read some more stuff.
Bloodrager Kraken-blood (Aberrant) Merfolk. Not sure about archetypes since I haven't read them all...maybe the steelblood one. Not sure how much I want to commit to tank" though, since I don't want to just wall up while everyone else stomps things. Primalist would mean I have to read through all the barbarian rage powers...

Pretty sure Primalist is banned in official play, but yeah, go for it.
Watch out for Merfolk though. That race is also banned, but because it's both OP and terrible. OP because of its ridiculous bonuses, but terrible because 5 feet of movement on land.

*flipping through Occult Adventures book* *eyes narrow* *Tome of Origami Animals* >_> I swear, I had no idea about that beforehand... But maybe that could work? Also, I would very much prefer to stick with the simplified sheet, for ease of use and easy viewing alone. And I think I would have to input my skills again if we switched sheets.

How tanks normally work in Pathfinder isn't walling up, but holding a choke point, using reach and Combat Reflexes to get as many attacks of opportunity as you can.
Basically, instead of soaking up lots of damage, you discourage enemies from leaving your threatened spaces and have decent area denial.
Pair that with Bloodrager spells to stay relevant outside of melee combat and the Bloodrager becomes one of the most powerful and interesting martial classes at a high Tier 4, since it can essentially do everything that a Barbarian can except also fly.

So, Crow, what is your character?
Are we all gonna be forest friends?

So, Crow, what is your character? Are we all gonna be forest friends? Rinea is not a forest friend. The party most likely isn't even going to realize she's a Kitsune until much later.

OP because of its ridiculous bonuses, but terrible because 5 feet of movement on land. I thought about that. I can take the "strongtail" racial trait that bumps land movement up to 15 feet in exchange for dropping water movement to 30. And Bloodrager gets an additional 10 feet move speed from a class skill. Or I could take the "Secret Magic" racial trait which comes with "fins to feet" magic so I can appear human. Depends on what works best with GX's lore.
