It's just weird since every campaign I've been it has just had an "eh, screw it" approach to EXP.

Dragons are literal big guys though. Also, remember, we might have to track EXP in this since one of the balance points for classes is different level-up points (especially for Dragons). My female dragonling takes offense to being called a "big guy". And of course we're going to have to track EXP. What about it? Would the big dog be better? We all know she isn't a good gal nor is she a bad gal. She is just the gal

Looking at what we have, Glitter Boy would probably be better. Though Pilot (Power Armor) may be the better choice given the setting... Anyone want to try to convince me one way or the other?

Can Glitter Boys not leave their armor?

Can Glitter Boys not leave their armor? Glitter Boys have to leave their armor. They take a pretty nasty debuff if they spend too long in there. By "too long" I mean days, but still. They're meh fighters out of their armor, though, and can only carry a knife inside their cockpit.

And how would Power Armor pilots fit the setting better? The world seems much less crapsack, especially with the Time Patrol out doing things.
Also, how does the Time Patrol define the correct timeline? What gives them the authority to decide what time is right?

Rifts Earth is still very crapsack. That hasn't changed as far as I know.

It's slightly easier to justify bringing a slightly-above-man-sized suit of armor back in time without risking destroying continuity than a 10'5" robot.

I thought we weren't using the default setting since the Time Patrol is kind of weird since it seems like it would be very villainous if it's part of the coalition.

Also, how does the Time Patrol define the correct timeline? What gives them the authority to decide what time is right? It's less defining the correct timeline and more solving time and space anomalies. The reason why they do this? Well, you'll just have to figure that out yourself in the campaign. Most of the individual members have their own personal reasons.

We're using every setting that you can think of. You can go to literally anywhere using the RIFTS system. Earth is probably one of the most prominent worlds, but the other six prominent worlds will also be important. There will also be multiple other worlds you will be visiting too.

The Sentinels(Time Patrol) have their base in their own dimension. Rifts Earth(the default setting) is unchanged. An untold myriad of different worlds lies beyond the Rifts.

So, normal rolls with 2 re-rolls? Is that it? Can you stick a generic unnamed character page in there for me so I can start filling it in?

Are we using the "Exceptional Right Off the Bat" thing? Because I sorta got a 29...

Are we using the "Exceptional Right Off the Bat" thing? Because I sorta got a 29... All of my character's stats are exceptional except for one, and she has 28 PS... So I don't see a problem with it.

My character sheet's well on the way to being done. Still need to add most of my gear and GB. And figure out psionic powers because apparently luck decided to have a chuckle there and make Roux a major psionic. I didn't want to deal with psionics... Ah, well, not something to complain about. After that, going to have several questions about... little details, then I'll be done.
Scrapped original character backstory concept, re-writing it to better fit the stats and whatnot. Decided to just roll family history (rolled psychic, of course...) and place of birth and age/weight/gender and all that because I'm tired. I'll figure out how to put it all together tomorrow.
Stuck deciding between Aberrant and Scrupulous.

Actually important question Just, hum Mystic... YOU!
Deaths.
How do you handle them?
Does death gets a player out of the campaign?
Can we get back in with a new character if we die?
Is there enough risk of death that we should actually have a second character ready at all time?

Well, here's how death works. It's pretty simple. If your character's HP hits zero, they enter a coma-like state. This means they are incredibly injured. If you do not get medical help fast enough, you will definitely die. If you're hit by an attack that places your HP so low, it's in negative levels, you might die instantly right then and there. If your character dies, they are dead. You will need to create a different character to play as from there.
But deaths SHOULD be very rare, as long as you aren't jumping into danger. But you should never let your guard down. It's always a serious danger.
