You carefully memorize the plates as best you can, and Decider pockets them, just in case.
...
You exit the Airport, and are about to climb up the ladder when something robs the air from your lungs.
Someone's lying facedown on the floor. The coloured markings have gone dark, so it's not immediately obvious who it is, and at first, you assume it's the Hunter.
However, the hair looks familiar. You turn the body over, and see Mu's blank face staring back at you with lidded eyes and a slight dripping scabby red smile across the side of his neck.
Oh guinea pigs.
Decider exits his own door, and walks towards you. His grim expression turns into one of abject horror.
"H-he's...?"
"Dead, yeah."
"Did you... kill...?"
"No. He was dead when I found him. It looks like his stuff's gone..."
"Wait, this could be a trap! They might be using his body as bait."
"We don't have much time to talk about this. If we don't get back to our rooms soon, we'll be joining him."
"Y-yeah."
You climb the ladder with solemnity, then part ways down differing corridors. The adrenaline surges you faster than you thought you could go.
...
You reach your room, with seven minutes to spare.
There's nothing to do, and nothing that can be done. A part of you suspects you may be in shock, as you curl up on the bed, facedown and tuck your hands under your face.
He's dead.
We're not all getting out of here alive.
Who killed him? Doesn't Shade kill with a name? Isn't Mort still stuck in his room?
Is someone else killing people?
Am I safe here?

The last thing that you think about before falling asleep is about Mu. Who on earth could have killed him? He was a pretentious dewdrop, but he didn't deserve that. Your dreams are hazy, but a black figure spattered with blood stalks you within them. Their blank face eventually peels off to reveal the person you most suspect of killing Mu...

I'm not sure I understand where the body was found. Just outside the new set of challenge rooms, right? As in under the trapdoor, but outside the doors to the airport and stuff?

Yeah. There's six doors down there. In the centre is the ladder to the trapdoor, and beside it is Mu's body.

Alright, let's start with the basic assumption that we're sane and don't normally do things we don't know about. Otherwise we can't assume anything about anything. There's no reason to suspect we were drugged/mind controlled today. Well, maybe if I went back and checked every time the timer was mentioned, but... A: Ace B: Twomato C: Redemption D: Foursight E: May F: Limelight
G: You H: Allure I: Bubbles J: Decider K: Elf L: It was a suicide M: Whoever's body is in Grey's utility room N: It was actually as a result of doing the puzzle O: The mastermind Then let's assume the moderator and system aren't lying - Mu's really dead, Mort's locked up, 4 being jailed keeps her out of the action, etc. A: Ace B: Twomato C: Redemption
D: Foursight E: May F: Limelight
G: You H: Allure I: Bubbles J: Decider K: Elf L: It was a suicide M: Whoever's body is in Grey's utility room N: It was actually as a result of doing the puzzle
O: The mastermind We didn't actually see anyone go into the other challenge rooms, plus Ace managed to get in to attack despite the business with the suit-swapping... So we probably can't make any assumptions there. We can't vouch for all of Decider's actions, but we know he was actually doing stuff because we could see the results, so he probably didn't have time to do anything major. There probably wouldn't have been time for Grey's Mystery Corpse to kill Mu then get killed and drug down there. A: Ace B: Twomato C: Redemption
D: Foursight E: May F: Limelight
G: You H: Allure I: Bubbles
J: Decider K: Elf L: It was a suicide
M: Whoever's body is in Grey's utility room N: It was actually as a result of doing the puzzle
O: The mastermind It could have been the result of doing a puzzle. The rest of his team dragged his corpse out, couldn't get it up the ladder in time, and had to leave it. But we'll eliminate that possibility for now because it's so easy to confirm or disprove once we talk to people. Suicide's also possible, assuming someone removed the weapon later - but we have no reason to believe he was suicidal. A: Ace B: Twomato C: Redemption
D: Foursight E: May F: Limelight
G: You H: Allure I: Bubbles
J: Decider K: Elf
L: It was a suicide
M: Whoever's body is in Grey's utility room
N: It was actually as a result of doing the puzzle
O: The mastermind So. He was probably with Bubbles, Redemption, and Limelight. But Ace proves it would be possible to move between rooms without the proper suit. And there's no reason to assume he was killed in the challenge room in the first place. We can find out more about that possibility by talking to those 3 later. Corpse. Cause of death seems to be a stab to the neck. But, the the description of the wound and the lack of obvious blood trail means he likely didn't die of exsanguination. Which makes me think the most likely weapon was that syringe of anesthetic Mu gave to Ace. Which he may or may not have given back. So the most likely culprits would be Mu (suicide), Mu (mind-controlled), or Ace. Except the mind control from the alchemical door thingy specifically stops them from trying to harm the control subject and it's not likely the whatever it is unlocked their true/deep power of mind control yet. So... Ace seems most likely.

This may or may not affect your assumptions: Ace never went into the airport. He attack you when you when out by the ladder. Sometime inbetween then and now was Mu slain and laid beside it.

Why did we... Right. We left the room for the letters.
Still no more likely weapon right now than the syringe. So. Possibilities based on that.
Ace (without returning the syringe) Mu (suicide) Mu (mind control) Someone else (after stealing syringe)
Ace is still the most logical option. Especially considering he was able to clang us in the back of the head. And he seems like the type to hold a grudge about Mu giving him that thing. And also he's maybe a bit unhinged.
'course, just cause it's the immediately apparent answer doesn't mean it's the right answer, but that's what the picture we have so far paints. Not that he's the traitor, just a massive dick.

Ace's elusive face peeks out from under the blank one. He grins at you, and turns tail. ... ↑ Phase 7
... You awaken again, and rub your eyes. Everyone else is asleep. You got given an extra success point when someone finally finished a utility room puzzle. That means you can unlock a currently locked door. You have to wonder though, did you get awarded a key for it? If so, where is that key now? Oh, and... ...Is it just you or did your CP seem a bit low yesterday? What now?

Start by checking the room for signs someone's been around. Particularly checking the bed.
Remind me to ask the GM what happens to someone's CP when they die next chance we get.

Huh... We don't know where the prison is. And can we even get down to the lower level, since we don't have Touch Base...? Well, I guess 4's room was unlocked before...
But let's start by doing a quick lap and seeing if any doors are open tonight. And, more importantly, if we can figure out which one of those starter puzzles didn't get solved. It'd be nice to tick off at least one role.
Just! I was thinking. If we lost CP, we either stepped on the mine-thingy or some method we don't know about. Decider unlocked his true hex thing. Which I think means new ability? And we were hanging around with him. So it's possible he's the Banker or... I dunno... Looter? and that gives him a way to drain CP. Maybe. It's just a theory.
