"I was having her give me a massage," Lily tells her. It's true, after all.
"Interesting," Zenia says.
"You don't believe me?" Lily asks.
"It's just that you never showed any interest in such things before," Zenia explains.
"Hmph. I am a delicate princess, after all," Lily lies. "Of course I'm interested in this sort of thing."
Zenia smiles as if she just caught a young child with their hand in the cookie jar. "Show me, then." Zenia shrugs off her cape and walks over to Lily.
"What?"
"Demonstrate what she did for you," Zenia demands. She flops down onto the bed beside the princess. "I'm intimately familiar with Isana's technique, so I'll know if you're lying."
Hawke gives Lily a questioning look as if asking for permission to smash her in the back of the head.
(A) Let Hawke smash her in the back of the head
(B) Let Lily do it herself
(C) Demonstrate like Zenia asked
(D) "**** off, Zenia."
(E) Try to take Zenia hostage

Demonstrate, but make sure to push niiiicely down on those pressure points. Nothing dangerous or outright attacking. Just uncomfortable.

Lily quietly growls under her breath and starts doing her best to copy Isana. Hawke watches for a bit before he decides to look away. The pirates snicker a bit. Lily grits her teeth and does her best to ignore them. But she's able to at least take a bit of her aggression out on Zenia's back.
Zenia sighs. "Mmmph. Clumsy. But you have potential. But it seems you weren't lying. Still... the timing is rather curious. A strange coincidence, hm?"
Lily stalls by refocuses her massage while she thinks. "I can't speak for her. If I had to guess, I assume she wanted to distract me. Make sure everything with your little plan worked."
"Hm. Somehow, I doubt it. Not only that, you don't seem particularly surprised about all of this. Haven't even asked what's going on."
"Because I don't want to give you the satisfaction," Lily says. It's not a lie. "It's pretty obvious you want to use me as a hostage. Considering our refusal earlier, perhaps you hope to force Carcina to open its ports?"
"A reasonable guess," Zenia says. "I don't know. The Great Khan gave the order, and I merely enact his will. Though... perhaps this is not true. I've been told I was supposed to simply kill you. Isana swears otherwise. Rather than taking a risk and chopping off your head, I am taking you to meet him in order to learn for sure."
"How kind of you. Your concern is simply touching."
"I'm a saint, I know." Zenia shrugs. "Perhaps your death will be unnecessary. I'll ask the Great Khan if I can keep you. It would be a shame to kill someone so... amusing. Especially with Isana dead."
Lily grabs Zenia's back. Violently. "What!?"
Zenia grunts. "Well, she's not dead just yet. Though she probably wishes she was. I don't suppose she ever mentioned trying to kill the Great Khan before she stole his seal, forged a missive ordering your capture, stowed away aboard a ship... Among other things."
Lily's in shock. "I... No, she failed to mention any of that."
"Would you like to visit her? If you'd like to stay with her overnight, I'm sure she'd appreciate the company. Or..." Zenia rolls over. She reaches out and gently cups Lily's face in her hand, strokes her cheek with an eerie tenderness. She fixes her eyes on Lily with an empty, joyless smile on her face. "Perhaps... you should join her? Troop numbers, formations, plans and contingencies... Weaknesses and vulnerabilities... The enemy princess. What useful information could I force out of you, I wonder?"
Lily fights back a shudder.
"It's going to be almost a week before we reach land. I may grow bored with just Isana... And she'd probably appreciate the break. Perhaps I'll come back to collect you later. Or perhaps not... I'll let you enjoy the suspense."
Hawke seizes Zenia's wrist. Even in chains, the glare he delivers causes the pirates to visible shudder. He pulls her hand away from Lily's face before letting it go. It leaves a visible impression on her arm. He scoops Lily up and pulls her away, taking a protective stance at her side.
(A) Just try it and see what happens.
(B) (glare)
(C) Just... leave her alone until we reach the Great Khan, bastard.
(D) Would you... actually let me visit her tonight? Please?
(E) If you're just trying to intimidate me into behaving, there's not much point. You've already got several of my friends as hostages...
(F) ...

D. We just want to confirm what you're acussing her of doing is true right from the horse's mouth, and maybe thwack her a bit ourselves for her stupidity. Nothing else. Certainly not slipping a few lockpicks onto the hands of someone with Locktouch or anything.
(Also sneak a lockpick in our or Hawke's mouths. Trust me, I write for a spy in Nova).

Zenia turns to leave. The other pirates step out ahead of her. She makes it to the door when Lily calls after her. "Wait!"
Zenia pauses without turning around.
"Would you... actually let me see her tonight?" Lily asks.
Zenia looks over her shoulder. "Why? So you can work on your escape plan?"
"No, I... I'm just worried about her." Lily just steps out from behind Hawke. "Please."
"Hm..." Zenia narrows her eyes at Lily. "Is that really it?"
"Zenia! Your job is to capture me, not to... to torture her!"
Zenia drives a fist into the the door frame. "No, my job was to kill... This has nothing to do with you...!" Lily is surprised. This is the most emotional she's ever seen Zenia. "If it had just been forging orders, I would've been lenient. Maybe I could've even swept it under the rug. But to try to assassinate the Great Khan...!" She slams the door frame once more.
Hawke pulls Lily behind him again.
Zenia stands in silence for an uncomfortably long time, her stare burning a hole in the wall. "What happen if your little bodyguard there tried to kill your father? Regna Ferox... does not forgive, does not show mercy to traitors. My feelings don't have anything to do with it."
"But-" Lily doesn't know what she's going to say, but she feels like she has to say something. "But that's... horrible."
"...I'll consider your request," Zenia spits. She pulls the door shut, but Lily can still hear her outside. "Keep the traitor chained and under heavy guard,. No one lays a hand on her until I hear her side of the story."
One of the pirates argues. "But she-" His argument is cut off by what sounds suspiciously like a skull slamming into a wooden wall. Twice.
"I am the champion of Regna Ferox! Do you see the Great Khan here!? Do you see that fox-eared skank!? I am the one in charge here! I am the one who passes judgement!" Another slam. "Question me again and I'll put your thick ****ing head through a wall!"
Hawke is silent most of the day and seems extremely resistant to any of Lily's attempts to make conversation that isn't directly related to escape. Dinner arrives without Zenia making another appearance. After the dishes from simple meal are collected, Lily pulls the lockpicks out of her hair and spends some time fiddling with the chain on her wrist. She continues until she gets so frustrated she nearly doesn't hear a familiar cadence of Zenia's footsteps approaching. She hastily slips the picks in her mouth, struggling to tuck them away convincingly.
The door slams open. "Come on." Zenia throws Lily a key. She looks... angrier than usual.
"Princess... I don't like this," Hawke says.
"I'll be fine," Lily assures him. "Don't wait up for me."
Hawke bites his lip, but doesn't argue further.
Lily tries the key and effortlessly removes her manacle. "Why can't lockpicks work that well!?" she thinks to herself.
Zenia lets Lily walk free beside her. Lily hopes she can at least scout the ship a bit. It may help in the future. She sees they're in a hallway with two doors on either side, and a larger door near the end. The other end of the hallway forms a T-intersection. She doesn't get to see what's that way as Zenia leads her a short way to the door at the end of the hall.
"She didn't deny any of it," Zenia mutters on the way. "She confessed to everything, but wouldn't tell me what in Grima's name she was thinking."
"I'm... sorry?" Lily says awkwardly.
"So am I." Zenia shoves open the door.
It opens to a relatively large room. Three pirates are scattered around the room. Isana's standing in the center of the room, chains hanging from a rafter secured around her wrists. She doesn't seem to be hurt, other than a slap mark on her cheek. She's looking down at the floor when Zenia and Lily walk in. She looks up and a shocked expression crosses her face. "Princess... Why are you here...? You shouldn't..."
Zenia glares at her. "Be silent, traitor." Zenia's tone is cold. Lily can tell she's forcing herself to keep her voice level. "I brought the princess here to witness that you received fair judgement. You've been accused of attempting to assassinate the Great Khan. You have admitted to this crime, correct? Free of coercion?"
Isana bows her head. "...Yes. And yes."
"Your punishment begins in the morning." Zenia turns to Lily. She's still struggling to keep the emotion out of her voice. "Satisfied, Princess?"
"I... No! I'm-" Lily blurts out. She stops as one of the lockpicks jabs her.
"I don't care." Zenia folds her arms. "I'm going to bed. Princess. I said you could stay with her overnight. Make your choice. Are you staying or going back to your room?"
(A) Staying with Isana
(B) Going back to Hawke
(C) Attacking Zenia
(D) Running somewhere

So we can either do A, or, if those other pesky pirates are going to keep around watching for suspicious activity, do something so crazy, it might just work... Give a show about about being heartbroken that Isana would do such a thing "because... because I...!" and then dive in and smooch her, slipping one of the lockpicks into her mouth while everyone else is stunned. |

Aright, the consensus seems to be slip her the lockpicks (which was actually going to be a separate vote if Lily chose to stay) and to stay. So that's locked in. Which means I need to do a bit more prep and this could end up being quite a bit longer with several smaller potential decisions. And if it gets to that I'm just going to do short votes for some of this where I'll just take whatever the first vote says. Well... maybe not. I need to think about how to do this so it doesn't take a week.
Why "....." though?

Ah s***, if people were going for my bonkers idea, I would've clarified that and B (so that they'd have less reason to believe we did anything sneaky). A it is.
