OK. API commands, set. Models of all current characters, set. Character sheets, programmed and filled. Starting next chapter, there'll be a visualizer for battles. So Suarrure didn't exist until... literally yesterday morning. He was going to be filling the crows' role. But dog>bird so I wanted to give you a dog so I made him not evil. I accidentally already had a slot I'd left blank for him in my notes before I moved recruiting a certain character from Alice's route to Rand's route. Yay, things working out...
His is the only sprite I made from scratch so far. And by "scratch" I mean "using fanart as a reference."

I'm on page 4 currently. I guess I'll get caught up eventually. There's a lot going on during the week, so I have a hard time reading CYOA like I used to.

After... hours of prep work, updating notes, rebalancing a few things (gave a few people an extra point or two from earlier level-ups), getting API scripts working, finding a massive amount of data had been deleted from R20 from misusing API scripts, re-entering the data, realizing I'd re-entered the old data, updating the Google docs, making character sheets for enemies, making the new map... By the way, character's healths are in red. The blue bar is recoveries. Because it's a 13th Age script I'm using to auto-enter HP on tokens. Just ignore it.
I think I'm finally ready to start writing...
But I have a question. Can everyone actually see everyone's journals and HPs and whatnot? Journals and stats for all your characters, but just HP on enemy tokens. You also should be able to see but not actually move them.

Next batch of tokens and the map is done, character sheets are updated, enemies are added... Everything's ready to start the next chapter. Little behind the scenes: of the next few character tokens, only 1 uses a sprite originally of their own sex. Also, because compression or something I had to re-do all but 1. The lady somehow ended up with (admittedly pretty but not fitting for that character) rainbow hair. Somehow.
I also made a kid with a genetically impossible hair color. Stupid. I need to remember to double-check my SoS notes.
I'd start the next chapter now, but I have stuff to do tomorrow. But it should be up tomorrow night. ...Can't go any worse than STARS did...

As mentioned in the CYOA proper, I'm going to start doing inheritance skill votes ahead of time here. To minimize spoilers, I'm only going to refer to characters by stats. And I guess I'll scale stats to where you are when the vote happens...? Starting with the two Alice are chasing since her chapters tend to get picked first. I guess I'll use their names since it's already been done.
On that note, I decided a curse is a thing a kid could inherit, so there's a new skill that needs a description.
Curse of Flauros: Unit deals +1 damage to humans and +3 damage to monsters/Risen. Attacks ignore Pavise/Aegis/Dragonskin/etc. Unit takes 1 damage every time they deal damage.
Kurt HP: 11 Str: 10 Mag: 8 Skill: 10 Speed: 11 Def: 8 Res: 6 Luck: 8
Mother: Miracle, Renewal, Healtouch, Aggressor, Curse of Flauros Father: Miracle, Healtouch, Prayer, Corona, Ignis, Slow Burn
Quinn Fox Laguz HP: 12 Str: 11 Mag: 7 Skill: 9 Speed: 11 Def: 9 Res: 7 Luck: 9
Mother: Gentlehomme, Firestorm Father: Ignis, Rally Spectrum, Charm

What does Corona do again? When it activates, it ignores resistance and halves the enemy's hit rate.
