The timeline I promised - note that I may still decide to split/combine/drop chapters, but this should be about right? I'm almost definitely going to add at least 2 more chances for X chapters. Maybe... 9 and 18? Don't open this spoiler if you don't want... y'know... spoilers. Prologue ProX 1L 1R 1A 2L 2R 2A 3L 3R 4 5 6V 6R 7V 7R 8V 8R 9V 9R 10V 10R 10RX 11 - All routes combined forever 12 13 14 15 16 17 - Last recruitment 18 19 20 21 Endgame

It took... 2 or 3 hours to do that update with all the database updating. But it's done now.
Fei got a really, really nice level-up off that big guy... Which is good, because her HP+ ability's the only reason she didn't die.

I'm on page 13. I have to go run some quick errands now, but I'll be caught up really soon. I'm a fast reader.

I'm thinking... that maybe I'll start doing a simple map system on Roll20 that people could log into and see the battlefield. I'm pretty sure you could log in and see it without the GM being there proper.
The mapping itself wouldn't take long, probably 1-2 hours for the most complicated. It would mostly be for showing relative positions, nothing really involved.
The big time investment would be making tokens for all the characters and enemies. Well, the enemies would be relatively quick. Not fast, but not too long. As for the characters... That would require some doing. At worst, AoD's be on hiatus for a week or so, depending on how far in advance I tried to extend things.

They can access Roll20 to look at maps, they just can't use voice chat... I think?

Crow is right. X and others who can't use voice chat on Roll20 will still be able to see the maps, and they can still interact with Crow and others in the text chat window.
I've considered doing the same for KoL. Most of my characters wouldn't be that hard to find tokens for. Hmm... Maybe I will.

Ah, I remember when I pulled my first Ultra Rare holo Black Winged Dragon from a Shining Darkness pack(Think that was the name)... To this day, it's one of my most memorable card pulling moments, along with the time I went to the gas station and got the OG Mewtwo in a pack, back in like '97.

After some thought... I don't want to do fancy character portraits like Schism or anything. I could do character portraits based on... just old FE sprite recolors with some minimal detailing easily enough, but it would be kinda... dumpy, I think? I'd rather do fully-body type things, which... would take some doing, but is theoretically possible for everyone but Allune, Gale, Sylv- everyone other than the laguz. Which... I'd have to... um... something...?
Suggestions?

Pretty sure there are hawks, eagles, foxes, and other such animal tokens on Roll20. And I know there are wolves, tigers, lions, bears, and dragons. Only catch is you have to buy the set(Or sets). Though, they're not expensive.
For the character portraits, just use FE pictures and Tokentool. Simple.

I'm thinking of inserting these in whenever a character's first introduced... Maybe... Well, first 3 are done, anyway. My urge to redo that with Rand riding on Hector the lord instead of Hector the wyvern is matched only by my laziness.

Wait, did you MAKE those or are they edited versions of the sprites from an actual Fire Emblem game?

I'm currently at... 5/15 characters. With Gale and Allune down, Fei and Sylvia are the only two that'll require much work, I think. Maybe Storm. And... possibly Rhett. Nevyn shouldn't be too bad. Mina might end up...
...OK, well, Shep and Kelly will be easy, at least. Point is I expect to be able to use R20's maps starting next chapter. And screw custom enemies, you get generic enemies. Even the bosses. Especially the bosses.

"Nothing goes over my head. My reflexes are too fast, I would catch it!" Actually, I was thinking of an old WB cartoon... (found using the search: "old cartoon about a guy who died and was explaining to Saint Peter using slang") 5 more characters need sprites. I redid Allune because it was bugging me. Her old sprite was too masculine. Mid-creation, she looks... really weird without wings. Attachments:
