I will say that I'm pretty sure on behalf of my character(s) that Azathoth has been effecting the Dwarf King and nobility for a long time, and that anything we've done relevant to that so far is probably not that significant to the Dwarf King's fate.

What about Selena or Iddy? For the castle helm.

What about Selena or Iddy? For the castle helm. You can't attune to a Magic Item in the middle of combat, and Iddy will be rejoining the party during a fight. But Selene, I dunno. Will check later.

Can you check if she has a shield, too? We have that wondrous one Aeva was using before.

Selene doesn't have a shield because both of her weapons are two-handed weapons. And Iddy can't use one.

If she doesn't have anything it might be worth waiting for after the fight... maybe. I was sure there's one way to get around that, like a spell or feat or something... and I think I was right. Cursed items are an exception, aren't they?

Cursed Items are always an exception. They forcibly attune to you as soon as you touch them with your bare hands, and can't be un-attuned by normal means. Usually, you need at least a quick rest to attune to a magic item, or a full heal-up for stronger items. If there is a spell or feat that lets you get around that, I don't know what it is and have never heard of it. Schism session tomorrow will need to start a little earlier. Can people do session at 8 EST/7 CST? The Big Cheese

No, cursed items were the exception I was thinking of, not a spell.
8 should be fine. Why are we starting early, though? Early shift Saturday?

Tomorrow I was gonna see a friend for a bit around 5 probably, but I should just be a bit late at worst. Wouldn't be spending the night at this guy's house or staying with him too long, he's gotta look after his kid. I can't be too definitive, but... Yeah. Tentative "go without me for an hour, hour and a half." Or "Nah he arrived from work in a casket, gonna need to sleep that one off and I'm free."

Hey, Neo. I just remembered Maggie'd said she wanted to show or tell Nyl something. Other than the new apprentice. Was that Farina being awake?

Stop! Summary time!
-Party camps out, talk about what to do with Sephira. They decide to put it off until she's awake. Aeva asks Warin why he's not afraid of demons like she is kitties. -Arrive at the village of summoners in Shangri-la, Aeva is concerned about the Seven Stars Temple and whether they might be hiding something, due to so many never choosing to leave. Warin understands her caution, but is too motivated to learn how to beat Arlan to focus on the risks. Seren and Selene try to talk Aeva out of her mistrust. Also there's so many Jorms. -Elder greets us, turns out he taught Raven's teacher, whose name is very silly. The elder is much less silly, and helps Raven learn how to bind summons, or Aeons, better. Gives us a lot of lore on Aeons and tells us that totems work on the same concept. Also there's zebras further North! -The primal energy points have been overloaded or something by the Orc Lord's forces. The guardians are running wild, but Raven can bind them and Sephira can calm the primal points. We head East into the forest to find the first. -Get ambushed by some Orcish assassin troops. Make short work of them, although they pack a lot of nasty effects, and then move onto the boss, a chameleon thing that has invisibility and poison. We manage to stagger it quickly, and Raven flawlessly performs the ritual to bind it. -Bast was a kitty. Aeva is afraid, but swallows her fear some and manages to put up with it, encouraging Bast to go all out if she needs. Good progress, as far as I'm concerned.
Silly name teacher guy was Reginald, but I forget the elder's name. He's also a changeling like Raven, and thinks Raven might have some extra going on. He's 300. Three! Hundred! Makes Selene feel young. Also, Warin needs to watch it with Selene.

The Elder's name is Kartal. Raven's master's name is Reginald Harpell.

So it turns out I've been wrong about how Druid Beast Aspects work this whole time. Their effects do only work in Beast Form, not humanoid form, unless you have the Lycanthrope ability.

I thought that was how it worked. Beast Form has a singular non-magical attack with a few exceptions from racials like from Lizardfolk maybe, so beast aspects are a considerable boost to combat in that form to make up for the lack of versatility. It's not like D&D druids where there's no talents to keep them from being able to do literally everything lol.

Raven's master's name is Reginald Harpell. I assume he wears a top hat, monocle, and bowtie at all times?

Well, Shifter Adepts can still do everything else in Beast Form, and the Druid Lycanthrope form appearance can be almost anything the player/GM is okay with, so it actually doesn't make any difference to how Bast plays. I'll just give her the Lycanthrope form and say she's been using that when she fights in human form. She does have a tail and ears anyway.
