Don't get any ideas about Aeva. About wishes? Perish the thought. Otherwise? ...I make no guarantees. There's a joke invoking Cheese and Lay on Hands here... It's no joke, my friend. They used to call me "Captain Crotch Cure-olizer" back in Paladin school.

Koru Behemoths: Koru Behemoths are massive, gargantuan four legged herbivore titans that constantly wander the world. Koru Behemoths are so huge they absolutely dwarf all other creatures save the Red and the Great Gold Wyrm, and their sheer strength and power makes them undisputed in the natural world. No one dares to challenge a Koru- not even the Red. However, Koru Behemoths are mostly passive, peaceful creatures. They're very rarely, if ever, aggressive. After all, nearly everything else in existence are just flies to a Koru; an annoyance at worst, nothing more. They're only seen in the Civilized Lands during migration in the Spring and Fall, and they travel a very specific route across the Empire starting from beyond the map near the Magma Keeps, then across the southern edge of the Empire, then across the edge of the Midland Sea near Cape Thunder, and finally back towards the northwest. There are only 6 to 8 adult Koru Behemoths alive at any one time- though very few have ever seen young Korus- and they all travel in a herd when migrating, making the semiannual sight quite the sight to see. As such, both Newport and Drakkenhall hold festivals twice a year when the Koru Behemoths are passing, as those are the closest cities to the migration route- and the safest. The more daring and bold sightseers travel all the way to Cape Thunder to watch the Koru Behemoths plunge into the sea, but considering the plunge of a Koru creates a gigantic tidal wave, it's not a very safe distance to watch from.
There are whole communities that make their homes on the back of a Koru's shell, living in the naturally formed crevices and caves and forests. These communities are called Koru Tribes, and no two tribes are alike. The only tradition that each tribe shares is that when someone in the tribe comes of age, they are sent off the Koru and into the outside world to find their place in the world and to find their soulmate. People from a Koru Tribe only return home to their tribe after they have found their purpose in the world and after they've started a family. No one outside the tribes know why the Korus tolerate them living on their shell, as it is a closely guarded secret of the tribes. But scholars believe the tribes form a symbiotic relationship with their Koru, giving the Behemoth something it requires in return for protection and shelter.
Koru Behemoths look like a cross between an Elephant and a Turtle, but each Behemoth's shell has grown out differently and is entirely unique. Some Behemoths have vast forests and giant lakes on their back, while others have dense jungles and rocky deserts.

So the Koru is the Tarrasque's hippie brother?

So the Koru is the Tarrasque's hippie brother? Well, Korus are way, way, way bigger than a Tarrasque. A Koru is so huge you can easily see it from hundreds of miles away. Koru Behemoths are also sentient, and can speak using telepathy if they choose to, though you'd have to be someone pretty damn important for a Koru to even notice you, let alone speak to you. Koru Behemoths also live for countless millennia, and are said to be the wisest creatures in the world. So... Basically they're the Lion Turtles from Last Airbender.

Koru, huh? So... Is there a cavalier class?

Koru, huh? So... Is there a cavalier class? Nope. Horses are only used as in-story transportation in 13th Age. They have no gameplay use at all.

I see. Well, uh... Purely hypothetically, is a koru large enough that one could mount a small fort on its back?

Well, maybe if you bribe Neo with pizza ask nicely, he'll let you find a homebrewed Talent which emulates one (which is what I did for my Dragoon Ranger).

I should point out that 3 of my characters were insane caterers (witches/oracle) and the last was an insane multi-classed (ESPer rogue/ESPer fighter) (Whirling Dervish best prestige class). Playing a sane, rational paladin is a huge divergence from my usual party role and alignment of Chaotic Chaotic.

I see. Well, uh... Purely hypothetically, is a koru large enough that one could mount a small fort on its back? A Koru is large enough that you could mount a small nation on its back. Or a large one. Have I mentioned that you can clearly see a Koru from several hundred miles away? However, maybe I wasn't clear on the whole tribal thing. Korus don't just let anybody ride or live on them. The only people who have ever safely lived on or rode a Koru are the Koru Tribes. No one else has dared to try. It would be like trying to ride the Red. You ain't gonna try, cause you know it's suicidal.

Maybe this will give you proper perspective on how incredibly gigantic an adult Koru is. When a Koru plunges into the sea, it doesn't really jump, more of "step down". The sea comes up to around halfway up the Koru's legs.

Well, I am kinda craving Buffalo Chicken pizza... Also, on a totally related note, I've decided to buy the Bestiary because the 13 True Ways PDF works just fine. Even if it is a bit slow to load for me.

So, little baby A'Tuin tortoises? Pretty much, yeah. Except they look a bit more like Appa from Last Airbender. But with giant "world turtle" style shells.

Yay! I finally finished Santa Cora! The City of Lights and Temples is looking nice and fancy, just like it's supposed to.

But Neo, that's my job After all, plotting is one of the most serious responsibilities of the Don. But you're a fellow player. You aren't allowed to know spoilers about other PCs. Also, my world, my characters, etc. You don't know the stuff I do. So ha.

Fine But I'm gonna do all I can to help her design her character's mechanics and stuff Monks are very different in this than in DnD, and I'm almost envious since Monks can use bows with a certain Talent, since Archer monks are cool.
