Each weapon has individual Ranks, which is why the Heavy Tank is super costly despite being largely inferior to the Assault Mecha.

Each weapon has its individual ranks, however, the first ("main") weapon has the normal cost, while any other weapon ("alternate") will have half the cost, this only applies for weapons from the same source (in this case, from you) so, your main weapon would be 2 pts per rank and the rest 1 pt per rank. What you can do for the parts of soul that you wouldnt have, you could use the "Less capable" defect, which means that your effective Body, Mind or Soul is reduced for specific things (for example, Charisma or empathy in the case of soul)

Problem is, I simply don't have enough points for everything, even though I have 350 points total. I'm at 296 point cost now, and have 24 left to spend(Defects already taken into account). Gah, this is worse than D&D character creation.
I guess I could take out superspeed, and reduce flight's rank a bit... Guess I'll do that. She probably wouldn't be crazy fast in dragon form anyway, considering her gargantuan size.

Well, it's there so you don't overshadow others or be way too powerful.
We don't want an instance of Samurai vs Wizard in 3.5e.

But a giant god titan dragon would naturally be way more powerful than normal or semi-normal people. That's just common sense.
I was able to get my cost down to 276, which gives me a lot more wriggle room.

Well maybe you should try to have a character concept which isn't ridiculously overpowered then.

Simply put, Neo, we all have 300 points, so there shouldnt be a reason why you should be way more powerful than the rest, we are supposed to be on the same level or near the same level. So your character shouldnt be a "giant god titan dragon" cuz if you do qualify as that, we are technically god level too, also, try not to take it too far, you will end up disappointed when the points arent enough or when you cant have everything you want or hell, when someone in the party ends up being stronger even if you're supposedly a titan god dragon. Besides, Golurk's right, we dont want a fighter vs wizard dnd 3.5 situation, that will make the game boring for the rest. Take it easy, alright?

I am just so confused right now, and I simply don't have time to finish. And I definitely won't have time to work on it tomorrow or Saturday. Crow, I'm going to post what I have so far, and if you could work on it and polish it, I would really, really, really owe you.

You don't know me, so I'll let you off the hook, but the phrase "take it easy" isn't in my vocabulary. When I do something, I do it big, no matter what it is. It's kinda my thing. You should see some of the other characters I've created.

I foresee contentious gameplay-story segregation moments in this RPG's future anyways.

Bad Emppy.
Shadow, if CDM doesn't have time, I'll give you access. Crow already knows what I want my dragon to be like, or at least has a good idea, so it would be easier for him to do it.

Problem is, I simply don't have enough points for everything. It's supposed to feel that way. Unless you're doing some kind of Epic-level campaign.

The "expertly" re-balanced * Mech Points listing... thing is now done. These are the things you can get with Mech Points. I made it... closer to 3e's balancing, at least? Probably good enough. Probably. As far as weapons go, do it the same way you'd do a normal weapon, but at 3 points per rank of Weapon Level. You can either make the weapons built-in (use Weapon Level at 3 points/rank) and non-destructible (unless the whole mech's destructed)... or make them items for the mech. Same idea. Half-cost, destructible, lose-able, 3 points for Weapon Level ranks. And I know I'm beating a dead horse, but remember if you take multiple firing methods on one weapon (ex: assault rifle with an underbarrel grenade launcher), the most expensive firing method is full cost, but the others are taken as separate weapons at half-cost.

As an example of that, relevant to X... Yes, I know Revengeance Raiden's katana lost the stun mode. I disliked that. Aside, why is katana not in my browser's dictionary? Item - Vibroblade - 12 Points ((6+12+6)/2) Armor (Object) Level 6 - 6 point Weapon Level 6 (Primary) - 12 points Vampiric Level 3 (3 mod slots) Penetrating Level 3 (3 mod slots) Weapon Level 6 (Secondary) - 6 points (12/2) Stun Level 1 (1 mod slot) Drain Level 3 (3 mod slots) Piercing Level 2 (2 mod slots)
