As if we didn't have enough sidequests already... Seriously. We've been doing sidequests since the third thread. I'm okay with the idea with a new sidequest, but please try and make it not too long. While it is true that we have spent quite some time doing side quests, at times they seem to have just as much story relevance as the actual main chapters themselves. Sure we are no closer to putting down that rebellion in the Na'am islands than we were several months ago, but we have been learning more about several of our protagonists and we have been having more interactions with the Culture and seing their plans advance, which seems rather plot critical to me.

Side quest nomination: Comet Shard Collecting Start time: soon, a comet visibly explodes in the night sky sending twenty four fragment to various locations across the main continent. Each shard attracts 3~5 local monsters to it. Shards are found during other side quests and main story battles. Each shard collected awards 5 time gears. Gathering all twenty four allows for a powerful weapon to be forged. The can be either an axe, sword, lance, or bow but you only get one choice. Weapon will have unlimited use and a range of 1 for the axe, lance, and sword and a range of 2 for the bow.

Wards block Magic (Special Attacks) and can refill your mana if used correctly. And you are staggered if they are broken. Which opens you up to a power attack or stronger spells. They are incredibly situational and only useful if you are using them to block attackers which use magic infrequently at best. It also halves your potential damage output. Also if your opponent has greater magic than you, it is a losing battle.

Certain enchanted gear increases the effect of wards. Plus, J'zargo still has those Ice spells which easily down Dragonite. One Blizzard and it can't get close, and a ward would block the first Draco Meteor but it would be broken but it would also sharply lower Dragonite's Special Attack, since it still hits him. J'zargo can also use enchanted gear or armor to protect him from Dragonite's attacks.

You are forgetting some crucial details in your argument. Haze. Draco meteor only lowers attack when it hits. Haze. Wings. I'd like you to look up haze, or mist for that matter and tell me why any of your stat buffs should matter to me. Armor is nice. It makes him slower. I'm mostly just being nice about this. I still haven't mentioned toxic. Cure disease potions wouldn't work because if that's the case Dragonite could just have weakness policy and it would be over. Or just dragon dance spam and sweep Roar which is a more powerful than unrelenting force Dragon tail too for that matter. Or heat wave Or substitute Or blizzard Or earthquake Or safeguard Your only viable offense requires Dragonite to land near J'zargo. Anything less it can heal off in about six seconds. On the other hand, J'zargo would need to specifically prepare for every single Dragonite he could face. Which is impossible considering multiple variations could beat him. Many variations could beat him. Every single variation that does not involve getting melee, most ones that rely on dehabilitation and even some of the primarily melee ones if has any ranged attack in its arsenal with a greater BP than 80.

Ebonflesh is a form of armor like Light Screen, so it is not removed by Haze. Draco Meteor still hits, but the Ward absorbs most of the damage, like alight Screen. Wings are useless if Dragonite can't do anything. Dragonite could have weakness policy, but it would be long dead before it could do anything. J'zargo has armor, enchanted gear, potions, and scrolls. Humans also have a stat spread identical to Mew according to the games, so either way, Dragonite isn't much stronger than J'zargo.

Avoid death doesn't work if the target is OHKOed or if it is 2HKOed for that matter as long has health isn't below 10%. The point is moot. Your best defense, the ability to remove multiscale from the equation, is nearly worthless.

J'zargo is a) a cat, and cat pokemon are known for their low BST. b) the humans you are referring to are actors. The battles are fake. c) ebonflesh is not Lightscreen or reflect. It does not affect allies. This it is a status buff. d) wards are not light screen or reflect. It does not affect allies. Wards stagger when broken. You seem to be ignoring this. e) ie. meteors are nothing. f)if you want, I can and will drag mystery dungeon into this, and the things in that explorer bag are laughably over powered, including but not limited to instant revives that require no command to use, teleportation seeds, weather altering orbs, linked moves, instant ice form on every enemy in the room. I have been being nice. If you care to start including inventories, I will happily oblige.

Ice Spells wreck Dragonite. J'zargo has more versatility and adaptability than Dragonite, and he can instantly heal any and all damage with potions. Dragonite can't get close because of Blizzard and Frost Cloak. J'zargo can break multiscale with a lightning spell (which is practically undodgeable provided accurate shots) and protect himself from Draco Meteor but it still hits him, lowering Dragonite's Special Attack. It's a filter, not necessarily an energy shield. Dragonite also cannot hold more than 4 moves, but J'zargo can carry all the gear he needs for any set.

Dammit! This war between J'zargo and Dragonite has gone on long enough. Seriously guys, I know this is a party, but when two drunk guys force the host to play bouncer, enough is enough. Your arguments aren't funny anymore, now they're detracting from my polls.
.... Seriously? Do I really need to mod you guys? Or can we all be grown ups and play nice?
Also, on GF you guys would have been modded for off topic posts a long time ago. Don't mean to be a buzz kill, or anything... But... Yeah.

I was just pointing out that he was thinking too linearly. The battle mostly depends on the battlefield though. Dragonite is just too limited in its options.
Anyways, yeah, I'll stop. Don't worry.

I could say that you were thinking one dimensionally . and that calling a dragon limited in options is surprisingly narrow. Just don't reply. I actually really enjoyed it, believe it or not, so if you really want to continue this, just PM me. If not, I don't care. I am dropping this too. It's spoiling Neo's party.

Anyways, I can't think of a side quest, so I'll vote Family Time.
Also, I wasn't angry at Os. Despite how it appears, I wasn't trying to be hostile and was enjoying it. Sorry about it though.

It can't be family time without darling Rhia. Also, you'll have recruited Eplia by then too. Would make for some interesting scenes, and would allow me to build on Eppy's character more. Also, of course I'll approve a unique accessory. Create what you like and run it by me.
