Who-hoo! Guess what time it is! Sorry I'm a bit late, blame Leah. She kept me up all night. Now, welcome, welcome! Welcome to the biggest, baddest party around! Why, it's fit for a dragon! Or a few! Before I get started with the polls, I would first like to honor a certain user and friend of mine. Ajshell1, if you would kindly step up on stage please! While most of you don't know this yet, AJ has been compiling all the previous UB topics into a single downloadable document, and editing any errors found. AJ has been doing this completely on his own time, and I feel it's only right I express my gratitude. As such, I hereby declare Ajshell1 the Official Editor-In-Chief of my beloved CYOA, The Unnecessary Balance. That is, of course, if he accepts. And that will mean keeping me in line, eh? So if you notice an error, give a shout. Now, I will begin the polls at once! The first poll of the day, will be... Drum role please... The Secret Boss PollParticulars coming at ya next post.

Thank you, Neo. It has been my pleasure to compile your CYOA, mainly because I needed to refresh my memory of this story after such a long break. But enough of that, on with the celebration and polls!

Also, before we get started, I have some news to share. I have implemented an Awards Feature on this Forum now, for very special occasions. Some of the Awards are as follows: The Bronze Post- Reach the 500 Posts mark(A couple users will be receiving this today) The Silver Post- Reach the 1500 Posts mark The Gold Post- Reach the 2500 Posts mark The Platinum Post- Reach the 5000 Post mark(Any user with this Trophy is eligible to apply for the position of Moderator or Global Moderator) Best Author- An award given to the Author voted, by majority, to be the best. This will be part of an annual competition, called CYOA Gold, on July 9th every year. Darkest Author- An award given to the author who isn't afraid of dark plots, or killing off perfectly good characters. This will also be presented in CYOA Gold. Commemorative UB Medal- Any who visits here will be receiving this very soon! Slayer of Men- Awarded to the Voter whose choices have led to the most character deaths, or most worst case scenarios. A mixed blessing, to be sure. Membership Medal- Awarded to members who have been a member for 1 year. Intermediate Membership Medal- Awarded to members with 2 years under their belt. Longterm Membership Medal- Awarded to members with 3 years under their belt. And more! Now, without further ado... Let's get this party started! Video Game Secret BossThe rules for this poll are quite simple. You pick ANY character from ANY game to be a hidden boss in UB. The character with the most votes will win. The user whose character wins will be allowed to pick a dungeon, or create a dungeon, and choose the awards for beating said boss. The winner will also be allowed to choose the Boss's Stats and Skills. Naturally, characters not from a Video Game are not permitted. Characters from Fire Emblem who are already present in UB's plot are also exempt. Examples include Idoun, Naga, Tiki, Ashera, Grima, Loptyr, Doma, Fomortiis, and Chrom. No letter options this time, guys. Post the character you want to win, and give your reasoning why. You don't need to convince me, but you might need to convince your fellow voters.

I nominate the one, the only, the great, J'zargo! Haha, you mean the Kahjiit from the Mage's College in Skyrim? Priceless. I could have some fun with that battle, like the majority of his spells backfiring. Oh man, that could be hysterical. Also, I have to work for a couple hours, so I won't be able to update UB for a while. Sorry.

Why so serious? In UB, battling gods, and devils, heroes, and villains. Sometimes they could use a silly treat, like a birthday cake. I nominate Bundt from Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars.

I nominate M'aiq the Liar. As for why everyone should vote for him...
"M'aiq carries two weapons, to be safe. What if one breaks? That would be most unlucky."
He's already prepared for what happens if his main weapon breaks, perfect for Fire Emblem.
"It does not matter to M'aiq how strong or smart one is. It only matters what one can do."
The perfect type of line for a secret boss to say, right before the fight.
"Why do soldiers bother with target practice? One learns best by hitting real people."
Sounds like he's not stranger to fighting, this M'aiq.
"M'aiq knows many things, no?"
If the heroes could defeat him, who knows what wisdom M'aiq might pass on to them? It's certainly something to think about.
And he's survived for over two hundred years, so obviously he knows something that most don't. Plus, he runs really fast.

Ohon, but Mai'q of 4th Era 200 is not the same Mai'q from te fall of the Third Era. Also, J'zargo is one of few leveling companions.

Congrats on a whole year of excellent story telling! This story has been truly amazing and I really can't wait to see where it will go next year.

I just had a brilliant idea. Sephiroth.
Although, given your username, I'm half certain that you already planned on him appearing at one point.
Also, I've created a contest. The first person who can guess the number of pages the compilation has (within +/- 5 pages) so far gets a mention of some sort on in it. So far, I'm on page 44 of the third thread.

Nah, Sephiroth is too overrated. I mean, his theme's good, but the standard boss theme is better.

I nominate Etna with a team of prinies, from Disgaea. Different grid based strategy game with a plot that allows for universe jumping. Plus you could mix comedy and difficulty together with her and her minions.

I guess 67 pages as my arbitrary number. Way too low. Anybody want to guess again?

I say 379, assuming ten posts per page.
190 if twenty.

Well, Tiamat's 2nd gen character is named Sephiroth, and while there are a few similarities, Final Fantasy Sephiroth isn't in the CYOA.

If so, I go with 357.
