Hey aren't those the Larmy brothers over there? The two of them appear to be arguing about something as they walk from the tool shed. You motion to Iris to come with you to investigate. Iris calls out, "Good evening Larmys!" As she approaches. The young brother replies, "Oh.. Your that mage from yesterday the one who fixed my foot, er... Iris right." To which Iris answers, "Yes thats me." The elder brother interjects, "What brings you by? You need a favor already." Iris replies calmly, "No, no favor. I just thought you guys looked as though you were arguing, I wanted to see if it was anything I could help with." The elder brother responds, "Still with the altruism bit aye." The younger brother interjects, "Hey bro she might actually be able to help, what her being a mage and all." The elder brother retorts, "You and your junk collecting, you find one nice bracelet on the shore and suddenly you think every hunk of flotsam is treasure." The younger bro retorts, "But bro, the intricate carvings on it and in it, and I only found it this morning because the markings were glowing." The older brother further retorts, "And like I told you that was just a trick of light, its just a musty little jewelry box, and an empty one at that." At this point you notice Corva walk up as she interjects, "A carved box, may I take a look?" The elder brother replies, "And who are you?" Iris responds, "This is my friend Corva, she's a mage too." The younger brother blurts, "I'll go fetch the box!" The elder brother sighs, "Its a waist of time. That brother of mine. Sorry you to got involved in this." Just then the younger brother returns with a small box, calling, "Here take a look." Corva appraises the box for a minute, then states, "Heh, what are the odds... How much do you want for that box?" The elder brother stammers, "What? You want to by that hunk of junk? Somethings fishy here." Corva responds, "Its a warded box for keeping spirits out, or in as the case may be. You can tell by the runic wards, like the ones on my bag. Now how much?" The younger brother chirps, "See I told you it was something. Hm... How about fifteen copper for it." Corva then flatly states, "Iris pay the man."

So bossy. Well how should this be handled?
A) pay 15c for the box. B) haggle for the box. C) ask Corva to buy the box herself.* D) ask the Larmys if you can use it to seal the specter. E) forget about and head for the inn.
* is a bad idea.

Something tells me that they would rather not know there was a demon right in front of them... so let's just buy it without question, and move along. I like them so far, though; any chance they will ever be recruitable?

I vote A b/c it seems like the elder one has trust issue with us and last time e were nice enough to give valuable item for no cost. Then afterwards we tell corva how we feel about her.

24 hour bump.
Info: the Larmys are a class of character I've dubbed local personalities. Such characters have pre-written personalities, behaviors, and routines. They will reliably be found at certain places at certain times, even though they move about. There are several other classes of characters in my CYOA stay tuned for more.

Rolling her eyes Iris hands over the money, saying, "Ugh, here you guys go, 15 copper." The younger brother then hands over the box and says, "Thanks for the buisness, and the vindication, but if you don't mind me asking, why are you paying for the box when it's your friend who wants it?" Corva answers for Iris, "Lets just say she owes me one for earlier today." The elder brother then speaks, "Well whatever the case I'm glad to rid of that do-dad, and we must be off, don't want to be late for diner." With that and a kurt nod the Larmy bros head off to one of the houses. Once they were gone Corva started giggling in a some what sinester fashion. Iris then asks, "Whats so funny?" To which the sobering Corva replied, "I can now get my bag back and we got that ward box for less than a quarter of it's actual value."

Shameless penny pincher aside, what now? (Wait whats a penny?)
1) deal with the demon. 2) wait till morning to deal. 3) toy with Corva awhile.
A) head for the inn. B) camp in the middle of town. C) camp out side of town. *
* specify location: by stream, on docks, on beach, in thicket.

You guys do realize that Corva couldn't have paid if she wanted to. Her money is in her bag which still has a ghost trapped in it.
