I don't want to go merc and have an Irving clone, so Warrior. Well, for Warrior, your character can't have any Caster Magic, I.E natural magic. Your character's Burst Magic and Bullet Magic will have to come from Holder Magic, I.E artifacts. You could have some sort of pistol or rifle for the Bullet Magic, and something else for Burst Magic, like maybe a ring or something. Though that might be a bit close to Irving. Sorry I forgot to mention this before.

But mages can swing swords too, so... But I don't wanna be in a guild of nerds.Seriously though, any other restrictions with the other guilds I should know about before making a decision?

Mages aren't necessarily nerds. Mages just use Caster magic instead of Holder magic.
Major Armstrong would be a mage if he was in FT.

The whole point of the "Warrior Guilds" is this: Firstly, it can encompass all the nonmagical classes in the RPG test, so everyone has a type of Guild they can join, in case they aren't a Wizard and want to play a honorable character, I.E not a Thief, Merc, or Assassin. Secondly, the Warrior Guild is there for common sense reasons. In a giant Empire full of soldiers and hunters and fighters and everything else, that has access to practically limitless magical artifacts, it's only natural that those without natural magic of their own, who were still strong and capable fighters, would band together. Otherwise, how would an ex-soldier who knows only battle be able to make a living?

I'd love for your character to say that to Jurian or Auron, just to see what happens. Assassin Guilds are always illegal, and are practically nonexistent in Aselia. There aren't that many Thief or Mercenary Guilds in Aselia either. However, Assassin, Mercenary, and Thief(Also called Treasure Hunting Guilds) Guilds are much more common on the peninsula, in countries like Pergrande, Fiore, Minstrel, etc, while Warrior Guilds are less common. Other than that, there aren't any other restrictions I can think of.

I'm torn between going Warrior guild and foregoing bullet magic or going Mage guild. Think about clothing. Do you want a darkhooded figure or a Rad looking Dude.

Damn that post took forever... But at least my phone cooperated. Anyway, for reference: Velia's sword is the same as Ikaruga's sword. In fact, it is the same exact sword. www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTI4jWUFvWY

37% Strength, 10% Bloodlust, 20% Intelligence, 50% Spirit, 45% Vitality and 13% Agility!
The Mirror Mage
As swift as the Ninjas, fierce as the Monks, skilled as the Knights, and intelligent as the Spellcasters, the formidable Mirror Mage is probably the class that invokes the most terror and unease in its opponents. Not only are Mirror Mages extremely skilled with a sword, but often they are also masters offensive elemental magic, combat, and martial arts. Furthermore, Mirror Mages are often quite agile and speedy in battle, and some of the greatest Mirror Mages have mastered the art of stealth. However, there is often a tradeoff between skill in stealth and skill in martial arts: Mirror Mages who are more skilled in stealth are less skilled in martial arts and vice versa. On top of all that, Mirror Mages are experts of element magic and can easily launch a slew of powerful spells at their opponents. With their unique combination of abilities, Mirror Mages are a balanced and deadly class able to easily take down any opponent in battle. Lastly, Mirror Mages have one final incredible ability that surpasses all their others: the ability to use their powerful light magic to copy almost any opponent's spells or techniques. Using their light based mirror magic, Mirror Mages gain the ability to use almost any power their opponent uses. For example, if an opponent uses a special martial arts move or unleashes a powerful spell, Mirror Mages can use their own magic to instantly learn how to perform those abilities; however, Mirror Mages must first have the capacity to use those abilities. In other words, a Mirror Mage with low levels of agility and stealth would not be able to use any techniques copied from a Ninja. Similarly, a Mirror Mage with no knowledge of dark and light magic would not be able to use the powers and spells copied from an opponent who uses dark and light magic. Yet even with these restrictions, the Mirror Mage is still a truly amazing class!
Congratulations on achieving this powerful class!
This is a rare mixed class that requires at least three variables to be extremely high.
You have not mastered any Hidden Power granted by the Genie.
This sounds... oddly familiar.

Memory Make Magic fits that perfectly.
It allows you to memorize techniques that you can see and then perform them, but at a higher cost/less power assuming an equal level of skill between the opponents.

^ What Golurk said. Memory Make Magic fits that class perfectly. You could also use Mirror Magic.
Golurk, while I wake up and deal with my raging headache, could you give him a brief overview of how magic works? I'd really appreciate it.

Magic is best defined as the use of ether-nano (mana) to perform supernatural effects. There aren't really any specifics on how magic works. There aren't really any overbearing rules for all magic either.
Anyways, magic requires training and study, and generally all humans should be able to use magic if they devoted the time to it, but many aren't powerful enough to make any use of it. Learning multiple kinds of magic is difficult since different magic uses different rules and stuff. The series never goes into any specifics about it.
That's pretty much it.

FT guilds are basically exactly what you'd expect. People join and take jobs from the guild. Add in the possibility for shenanigans at guild halls, and interacting with guild members. That's it.
You could have your character be part of any mage guild, legal or dark. The choice is up to you. Currently the bulk of PCs are in Silver Chimera, so if you're going to make interaction a priority then that's the guild for you.
