I'm not going to use ABCD format, but I will not count votes toward stupid decisions if it keeps happening.

B4 u say anything if any of my voters suggested this i would lol about joke about it then go ahead and go with the secon place vote. l wouldn't insult my voter.

Question: Why even vote if you don't care about the story or main character?
Well, whatever. I'm glad you're going to ignore the joke votes Golurk, though that will mean there are essentially only going to be two or three votes per choice. And uh, X? You might want to take a step back and listen to what you're saying.
He's not "my MC". He's the MC of this CYOA. So if he get's injured or killed by an obviously stupid decision, who exactly does that affect? Everyone.
So... Why should I not call someone a fool when they're being foolish?

But just to be clear, I didn't mean that as a personal insult. I don't want another misunderstanding to cause anymore hurt feelings. There's been enough of that recently.

I was more concerned with the "wait for the door to finish burning down" bit, and just passing the time humoring Emmpy.

Like i said this was a decision that was made by another voter. u want to not see this option win then go and beg Emppy or Cdm to change ther vot. or you can beg people on the social board. You want to try and shame me and call me names. i will show you how stubborn i can be. Really you call someone a fool and its not insulting or personal. Whatever you and golurk go have fun in this cyoa where everything is sooooooooooooooo prim and proper

Sorry, X. That was a bit out of line on my part. I apologize.
There's no reason you can't have fun in a serious CYOA. But this is a serious CYOA, just like UB, or AoD, or any of the other various stories on the Verse. And there are serious consequences, just like any CYOA. I've used this comparison before, but if there was a really obvious death flag or a choice with really bad consequences, you'd want to avoid it, right? You wouldn't just decide to pick it anyway, for fun. Why? Because you might kill off a character, right?
It's the same thing here, X. Just because Golurk is using a different format, doesn't mean it's not a real CYOA. There's a difference between having fun, and choosing an obviously bad idea. Well, I mean, unless you think Game Overs are fun.
And Emppy... Is Emppy. He doesn't participate in a lot of CYOAs, and he isn't the creator of one. He also kinda has a bad habit of prioritizing jokes above all else, except in maybe OZ or Nova. You didn't have to back his choice, you could have come up with something completely different.
Also, CDM, it's kinda inevitable we're going to get involved in what's happening. You should know that. What happened to your author's instincts? So, with that in mind, would you rather us waste time while the door burns and give Golurk a perfectly good chance to do something mean or would you rather we actually do something productive while we can? Paying attention to what's actually happening around us, and not goofing off, could very well save our asses.

Fine to get this entire s*** fest over with. I change my vote to Neos idea about searching the room for something after we kick the corpse a couple of time and hiss at it like a cat.
Apology accepted just know I am extremely sensitive to certain phrases or words and they do make me get extremely defensive

Considering what happened last time we open the door, I'm not particularly interested in trying again.

There's nothing worth grabbing in the room, so you creep up the door and place your ear against it.
It sounds like the fighting has stopped.
What do you do?

Open the door slightly and peek in. If it's clear, go in.

Kick the door off it's hinges and attack anyone left standing you see.

"...Jenkins, check the door in case there are anymore Reavers." You hear a female commander addressing one of probably several soldiers just as you open the door with an awkwardly loud creak.
"Found one ma'am!" A foot soldier, probably Jenkins, dressed in Imperial gear saluted the officer after pointing directly at you.
What do?

Seeing as there are probably more. Retreat into your room, hide behind the door, and ambush the soldier whilst closing the door.

Ask what a reaver is. And also what Jenkins' first name is. Play dumb. Because we are dumb. Ignorant. About what reavers are. If there's one thing I know about imperials, it's that they're all perfectly reasonable, collected individuals.

Tell them the truth: that we aren't a Reaver, and we're the apprentice of the Telvanni Wizard, Master Neloth.
Trust me, the Imperials know who Neloth is. They won't attack in case it's true. Which it is.

Which it is. But since they'll know who Neloth is, they might try to put the poor protagonist out of his misery, as a merciful deed.

Compromising: using elements from all suggested actions. I'll be writing the next post. Be prepared for pre-selected options in my posts, but feel free to protest if you don't like the options provided. I need feedback so we can find a nice middle ground for the CYOA.
