This is my first run of the game, with a male Human Rogue named Maxwell. This is almost a completely blind run; All I've seen of the game are a couple videos of the Prologue, and some stuff with Morrigan. That's it. I know next to nothing about the game, aside from a vague understanding of the overall plot. I've also decided to skip DA:II(And I've barely done anything in that game), so I have no prior knowledge about the Mage/Templar war, aside from the fact it happened. So this should be really interesting.
My character is a Dual Wielding Rogue, because I personally find that really fun to play. I will try to keep this as spoiler free as possible, but I will be posting my reactions to major events. Please keep that in mind. Now onto the first update! I am so hyped for this game, you don't even know!!!
*Neo Squeal*
Prologue
The character creation is really nice. I like it. It's a mix of DA: 1 and 2, with the original custom creation from Origins, but also the Tarot cards from 2. Going with a Human Noble on the off chance that you can become a Royal, like you could in Origins. Plus, I wanna save the Dalish Elf origin for my second run, which I hope to be able to make a RP of on YouTube.
The flow between cutscenes and gameplay is really, really nice so far. And I'm playing this on a last gen console(An old PS3 to boot), and I haven't noticed any lag so far. Heck, it's playing more smoothly than Origin does. The graphics are good too.
Anyway, onto the actual game! Oh look, big glowing hole thingy in the sky! Wait, you mean if we don't stop it, the world is gonna end?! [sarcasm]What a shocker![/sarcasm]
Oh, hello Cassandra. I remember you from the five minutes I've played of DA:2. Also from that one DA movie, but we don't talk about that. And it's Leiliana, everyone's favorite Waifu!
Time for the first fight! Lesser Shades, Rage Abominations, and Wraiths oh my! Oh maaan... I'm loving this combat system. It's a mix of the tactical combat from Origins and the more fast paced combat from DA2(I'm starting to sense a theme here), but here's the awesome part: You can switch between the two modes at will, which allows you to prepare elaborate ambushes and battle formations on the fly, and then switch to real time to beat up the baddies before they can even get a hit off. It is so satisfying, and really, really fluid. I really am loving it so far.
Oh hey look! It's that one Dwarf from DA2 that I barely know because I skipped that game! He named his Crossbow "Bianca." Who actually does that? And yay! I have a Mage! And he has Winter's Grasp already! Awww yiissss. Time for some epic combos.
Also, just a bit of a spoiler, I do know our Mage here is very important to the plot. I just don't know how or in what way. So yeah... That about wraps up the first update! Next time on Dragon Age: Inquisition, we meet up with the lovely Leiliana at Base Camp! See ya then, folks! Neo out!
PEACE!

So many demons!
.... Aaaaaand we're back, for another episode of let's blow Neo's mind! Alright, so, did I mention you can jump? Right. You can jump. Pressing the X button allows you to hop over obstacles like Doug hops over... What? Too soon? Fine. Anyway, this causes problems for you-know-who, since I just recently finished playing Origins and Awakening, and the X button is used to attack in that.
Now, onto the story! After some more run ins with the baddest demony demons around, we level up, we make it to the Forward Camp and reunite with our future waifu, and we meet the Grand Chancellor of the Chantry! Who turns out to be a mega douche who wants to ship us off to the gallows! Never mind the fact the freaking world is ending and we're the only one who can stop it! Who cares if we're innocent or not! And who cares about the stupid world! Off with yer head!
Ah, stupid religious fanatic... How we love you. And guess what! Now Seeker Cassandra is asking four our help in choosing a plan to assault the temple! Sure, we have absolutely zero military experience according to our background, and we were a prisoner just a few minutes ago, but who cares! It's not like Cassy is the military Commander of the entire area or anything!
... I choose the mountain path, because I'm a scrub Rogue who doesn't do direct assaults. Oh, look! It's a LotR scene! Wait... Does that make Solas Gandalf?! Dragon Age: Middle Earth confirmed.
Yay, more demons to fight. And here I finally realize I didn't earn any attribute points when I levelled up. WTF game. Also, our Mage levelled up! I already know what I'm giving him!
Wait... Wait, wait, wait... WHAT?! They removed healing spells from the game?!! What the hell!!! I don't know how I feel about this... But we'll see I guess. Apparently you now heal by drinking potions, which are max potions. You only have 8 uses at the start, but can upgrade them to get more, and you can refill them at any camp. Weird.
Anyway, now it's time to enter the Temple of Sacred Ashes and attempt (And probably fail) to close the Breach! Tune in next time for the next exciting installment of-
*Shot*

Whew, first boss fight down! And man, was that a doozy! No more Ogres for boss fights, now we got a Pride Demon!
.... Who kinda reminds me of the Balrog, so Ima just gonna call him that. So yeah, the Balrog starts off invulnerable right from the get go, and you have to disrupt the Breach with your MC before you can damage him. The Balrog has massive amounts of health, ridiculous defense, and some crazy attacks. He will periodically lash out with a lightning whip, two to three times, hitting anyone in front of him and potentially paralyzing them, he has Frieza's Death Ball, which takes several seconds to charge and leaves him open, but hits for a massive AoE, and he can slam the ground, creating a massive earthquake that stuns you, which he always follows up with a lightning shockwave AoE that deals extra damage if you're stunned, and can paralyze you. Throughout the battle the Balrog will absorb energy from the Breach, which makes him invulnerable to attacks again. He gains new attacks as the battle goes on, including fire and ice element attacks, and towards the end of the battle, Lesser Shades and Wraiths will start pouring out of the Breach and will prioritize attacking your MC, making disrupting the Breach very difficult.
You have Leiliana and her archers to help you, but they're worthless and barely do any damage, meaning the fight is all up to you. And you only have 8 potions. And if Cassy and Solas die, then you're SoL, because whenever you try to revive a downed party member, it immediately aggros the Balrog, who will attempt to stun you. And Varric is useless as well in this fight.
I won first try, with everyone around 1 HP(I had to revive Cassy a couple times tho) but it was hard as hell. Props to you Bioware. This is a real first boss fight, none of that Ogre in the tower crap from Origins. Still, I shudder to think how hard this fight would be on Nightmare, since I'm on Normal difficulty.
Anywaaaaay, on with the story! We wake up in bed three days later in nice rich boy clothes(Oooh, I wonder if Cassy or Leiliana undressed us? *Perverted old dragon wink*), and apparently, we are now treated like a god. Sweet. From zero to hero in the first few minutes of the game. Gotta love that. Now, time to find me a terrified serving elf who will do anything I command... Muahahaha. I am so going to be an evil Inquisitor.
Next time on DA:I we finish up the Prologue and officially begin the game! Stay tuned, and stay frisky! Neo out!
PEACE!

Chapter 1: It Begins
Last update of the night, folks. It's not gonna be a long one, as I have to get up early tomorrow. So, when we last left off, we had just woken up in Haven, that one village in the Frostback Mountains that was home to dragon cultists in Origins. We get decked out in some spiffy new DLC gear that looks pretty flipping badass, and go to meet Cassy in the Chantry. There we run into Chancellor Douchebag and Leiliana as well, who are all arguing what to do with us. The Chancellor wants to send us to the gallows(still), but he's shot down by Cassy, who has assumed military control during the crisis. He's also now a suspect himself, since the events at the Temple cleared our name. Cassy invokes the power of the Divine, and declares the Inquisition of old resurrected, with us(Not surprisingly) as the Inquisitor. We agree to help Cassy, and shake hands, while Leiliana sends off a couple messenger Hawks.
Cue cinematic cutscene and title. Once that's over, we find ourselves back in Haven, standing in the middle of a street, for some odd reason. Why couldn't we just, you know, start back in the Chantry? Wouldn't that make more sense, as opposed to some random back street? Ah, whatevs. Just nitpicks.
Anyway, apparently we have unlocked 'Influence' now. Which, if I'm to guess, is how much weight the Inquisition, and by extension the Inquisitor carries. Makes sense. We head back into the Chantry to talk with Cassy more, and we meet Commander Cullen! Hey! I remember this guy!
Also, we learn why we're being treated as a god now: everyone thinks we're the 'Herald of Andraste', and the next prophet. Huh. And now we unlock the Operations Table!
This is kinda cool. It's a war table, where we can choose missions and upgrade our stuff; forces, secrets, connections, even infrastructure. Neat. So, we have to scout areas out before we unlock them, and use resources to do so? Wow. Our current mission will take us into the Hinterlands of Ferelden, near the Kocarri Wilds, where we have to locate a Revered Mother who may be able to help us win over the Chantry.
But before we do that, we need to look around Haven a little more first. Never know what you might miss, after all.
We do some miscellaneous quests around town, gaining some lovely EXP, loot, and meeting new people. We talk with Solas about the Fade, and he approves quite a bit of our little chat. Potential Lady and Gents, we may have found the bro of this game. Or at least this run.
We talk with Varric next, who basically tells us to ditch the Inquisition at the first opportunity, and we learn about a small group of Grey Wardens travelling near the Stormy Coast. Hmm. Might be worth investigating.
Let's see... We purchase some better gear, outfit ourselves in a kickass helmet, our bro in some Battlemage armor, and our future waifu Cassy in a nice suit of tanky footsoldier armor. We finish a couple more quests, speak with Leiliana(Who is as adorable as ever), and talk with the Smith. Lastly, we speak with Commander Cullen, who is already busy training new recruits.
I know this update was kinda boring, but hey! Look on the bright side! Tomorrow we go into the Wilds, full of crazed Templars, evil Mages, and demons galore! So stay tuned, and don't forget to stay frisky!
PEACE!

Chapter 2: Into the Wilds
Good morning, and possibly afternoon, my adorable little Dragonlings! Welcome back to some more Dragon Age: Inquisition! Last time, we did some minor tasks around Haven and got ourselves ready for our first official mission. So let's get right into it!
We summon the War Council(Which, ironically enough, is held inside the Chantry) and take a look at our map of Ferelden. Here we find some side missions to do, so we tackle those first.
Let's see... Hey, it's big bro Fergus from Origins! He's the Teyrn of Highever now! Good on him. He's holding a vigil for those lost at the Conclave, but we need our soldiers, so we send Leiliana instead, since she knows him. We have what's-her-name(the Orlesian lady that's helping us) deal with a stuck up noble, and have Cullen start gathering some coin while the head honcho(That's us) travels to the Wilds.
We immediately run into Inquisition Scout Harding upon arriving(Who is actually kinda cute), and Varric makes an inappropriate joke about her name. Of course. We learn there are Rifts all over the place, and berserk Templars and Mages attacking anyone in sight, so we rush to the aid of the Revered Mother, grabbing some nice loot along the way.
We easily deal with the horde of Templars, and a few Mages, and grow to Level 4 in the process. Still no new attribute points to spend, though it seems we got an automatic +1 to Dex. Did they take that out of the game? Or do I have to unlock it somehow?
Anyway, we learn a new Flanking ability and get better at Stealth. Moving on.
We finally meet with the Revered Mother, who tells us not everyone in the Chantry is against us; they're just acting out of fear. Which, you know, is kinda understandable. She suggests we hold a meeting, and offers to give the names of the Clerics that might support us to Leiliana. We agree.
Next, we accept some more Sidequests from the Refugees around Camp, and strike off back into the hills. We hunt some pesky Rams for their meat to bring back, and we accidentally stumble upon our first Astrarium! So... This is apparently a... Constellation puzzle thing? And if you get it right, you win a prize? Okay. Not even gonna question it.
.... Yay, I did it! That was unnecessarily difficult, because I couldn't see the darn example in the bottom of the screen very well. Anyway, we unlocked a Power for that(Meaning we can now Scout and unlock the Stormy Coast once we're done here) and some sort of treasure map. Sweeeeet.
We kill a few more Rams and take their meat, butcher a few Templars, and encounter our first Rift, which we close without a hitch. So far so good. All our characters are now level 4, and we've gotten some nice new abilities. We find a burned down house, and a woman whose husband was murdered by Templars. We also find another Inquisition Scout, who says his partner hasn't reported in yet, and is worried. We agree to help find her, since we have nothing else to do and all.
Nothing really to say about the landscape so far. It's... Okay, I guess. Kinda bland, but at least it's better than the Wilds were in Origins. And the whole jumping thing adds a new depth to exploring mountainous terrain, which is both fun and useful for hunting pesky Rams. And finding the occasional hidden chest, as well. Not too sure how Lockpicking works yet in this game, since I don't see any Mechanical skill trees in the Ability menu. Hey Golurk, you know anything about that? I'm too lazy to look it up.
We forge ahead, and find a good place to set up a new base camp, which we do. Aaaand now we're fully healed, and our lovely potions are restocked. Awesome. Saving. We also got another Power, so now we have 2... Hmm. What to do with that... Also, our Influence rose again. Not too shabby.
Now- Wait! Ram! Kill it! Slaughter it! Steal it's soul!
*Ahem* Sorry about that. Where was I? Right. Sealing Rifts, saving the world, and healing some random dude's sick wife. Carry on.
Oh yay! More Templars! And it's a Templar Knight this time, who has 866 HP! Oh joy!
.... NVM. We slaughtered those fools. Winter's Grasp/Twin Fangs combo 2 OP, plz nerf.
And now we come to our first abandoned stronghold, Winterwatch Tower, that's probably full of Templars, bandits, giant spiders, and other, even nastier creepy crawlies! But we'll tackle that another time, cause the Bee guy is here now.
PEACE!

Guess what?! Winterwatch Tower actually turned out to be the stronghold of a really nice cult, and not a bandit hive at all! We sealed another Rift that had been opened in the Keep, made the Cult our own(Literally. They worship the Herald now) and earned ourselves another 2 Power. We now have 4 whopping Power. That's pretty sweet. Also, I get the potion for that random guy's sick wife and realize I somehow missed the missing Scout on the way to Winterwatch. IKR? Big surprise there.
We retrace our steps and finally find her just east of Winterwatch, and holy cow! She's an Elite character with 3000+ HP?!
.... And she's somehow been reduced to 1 HP by a couple of scrub Templars. Right. Cause that so makes sense. Anywho, we save her, and notice another Rift in the distance, so we head toward it like a good little Herald.
Oh look, it's a Boss levelled Rage Demon-
Wait.... WHAT?!!!

Chapter 3: I die... I die a lot
So... Yeah. That's a thing. I dealt with the first wave easily enough, but the second wave obliterated my entire party in five seconds flat. Whelp, time to try again.
I did a bit better this time... But I still got my ass handed to me on a golden platter. How the heck is that Rage Demon doing so much damage on Max, when he has something like 40% FireRes?! This is insane!
Oh... Is that little number beneath the enemy's name their level? Because if so... I am severely underlevelled for this fight. Maybe that's why I'm getting bodied so quickly. I'll go grind a couple levels on Templars and Rams and try again. BRB.

Yes, it is their level.
Also, the Harding joke that Varric makes isn't an innuendo. He's referencing one of his books, which is called "Hard in Hightown" or something like that.

So... I'll just do other stuff and save that Rift for last. Grinding off Rams and the occasional Templar takes way too long. But we did manage to seal another Rift and find that Elven widow's ring for her. We have a heck lot of quests to turn in now, so I'm gonna head back to Camp and from there, head up north. We also ran into a cave that was blocked off by an Ice Barrier, which can apparently be broken by fire magic. I'll come back for it later. I need all of Solas's ability points in Ice magic, so I can beat that blasted Rage Demon.
Made it back to camp, and turned all those quests in on the way, clearing up our journal nicely and netting us an extra 2 Power, along with some approval, EXP, and Influence. Not bad m8, not bad at all. Next we head north, once again ignoring the main story in favor of minor quests and exploration. Oh wait! There was another cave back down south I missed! I have to go check that out first.
Found Smuggler's Cave, which had some decent loot. A lot of Drakestone, Iron, and Nugs(Too bad Leiliana wasn't here;)). Also got a Raider's Hatchet and another Sidequest. Time to head back north again... Uh... Never mind. Scratch that. The cave for that new Sidequest is way, way back down near that Ice Barrier cave. Whelp, guess we're going south. Again.
.... So, it turns out the Ice Barrier cave was the one in the quest. But I found a way for Brolas™ to break through, so it's all good. And look who's come to greet us! It's a whole family of demons! Swell.
Eh, they were easy. Doesn't look like there's much in here though, just a lot of Drakestone, which I still have absolutely no idea what it's used for. Ooooh wait! Spoke too soon! Found a Keeper's Ice Staff, which will help a lot with the Rage Demon fight. Equipping that badboy on Brolas™ immediately.
Speaking of which... Since I'm down here anyway, I'm gonna try that fight again...
NO! I refuse to accept this! I was SO close!
...... WHY DO THEY DO SO MUCH DAMAGE?!!! I CAN'T DO ANYTHING!!!! WHY IS IT SO DAMN HARD TO LEVEL UP IN THE BEGINNING OF THE GAME??!!!! ARRRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!!!!
*Blood spatters across screen*
Your Journey Ends... Noob.

Chapter 4: Mithy
Alrighty then, welcome back all you wonderful catdragons. In this episode of let's beat up poor Neo, we head north and finish off another region of the Hinterlands. And maybe, just maybe, we'll finally level up.
This seems to be the area infested with Bandits and Outlaws, but they're much easier than those stupid Templars- he says as he runs into a Qunari warrior with a giant sledgehammer that two shots him. One of these days I'll learn to keep my mouth shut, I promise.
Aaaaaaaaanyway... Brolas™ mentions special artifacts that are used to measure the Veil, and may be used to power up our Mark. He says one might be nearby, so we head over to check it out and meet Mithras, a smoking hot Dalish babe- *Ahem*- I mean a very beautiful Elven lady. She agrees to help us look for the artifact in question, provided we keep the Demons off her shapely a- *Ahem*- off her hide. Also, we now have 9 Power, so we can do all 'em scouting missions, and our Inquisitor Rank reached level 2, which means we now have a special Inquisition Perk to spend. But we'll do all that later, once we get back to Haven(In like Chapter 20). For now though, we're going to spend some quality time with the lovely Mithy.
Hey! It's an actual, bona fide dungeon! This is the first one in the game! Well, not counting the Temple of Sacred Ashes, but who counts that? That was just one corridor and a room with a super OP boss.
.... Well that was... Underwhelming. That's another quest done. No, wait! Mithy, come back! NO, Mithy, please! We were just starting to know and understand each other! Why aren't you a permanent party member?! Mithy don't leave me! MITHY!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
*Sobs* *Sobs x2* *Sobs x3*
*Sniffle* A-At least we still have Brolas™. You'll never leave me... Right Brolas™? Seriously though. If the game pulls a martyr cliche with Solas, with some BS like him sacrificing himself to close the Breach, I'm going to boycott Bioware for an entire year. Just super sayian.
Oooh, I got an Amulet of Power, which gives an automatic ability point when used. Niiiice. I know a certain Bro who could use this! Hey Brolas™, here ya go!
Finally completed the Blood Brothers quest, and got a rare Mercenary Lord Blade and some more Influence for it. Awesome. Let's see if Cassy wants a new sword... She does. Here Cassy, have a present. I haven't doted on you in a while. Now, what else is there to do up here... Hmm, got a couple more exclamation points nearby... Let's see what's in this *obviously* abandoned house. A letter?
AND WE FINALLY LEVELLED UP!!!! PRAISE THE MAKER, WE'RE FINALLY LEVEL 5!!!!
.... It feels like I've been level 4 for the entire flipping game. Didn't I reach that way back in the Prologue? I don't even remember. Ah, now I get it! So, you automatically gain 1-2 attribute points for your major stat per level and the rest of your stats come from your skills and armor.
..... When I think about it, I really, really don't like that. I guess we've reached my first major complaint about the game then. The game essentially levels up your character's stats for you, with very little wriggle room. For example, in my most recent Origins file, the one I just completed, I made a Dual Wielding Warrior, but gave him massive strength, dexterity, and constitution, and good cunning and willpower, which allowed him to perform the role of a tank and a damage dealer. This basically made him two characters in one, and with the Berserker and Champion specialties(As well as Guardian in Awakening), he became even better at both jobs. Towards the end of the game(And throughout Awakening) he was actually serving as both my main tank and melee DPS, and he made both Alistair and Justice obsolete, which opened up more room for different party members. I usually like to do something similar with my Rogues; I don't want to just rely on evasion, but make sure they don't get one shot by every single enemy late game. And unless there's some seriously broken armor later on, I legitimately don't see how I can do that in Inquisition. And since they took Lockpicking out of the game, Rogues are practically useless now. And from what I've seen, they also reduced the number of scenarios where Stealth can be used outside of battle.
In short, they didn't just completely nerf Rogues, they took out all the customizable options for your character. I don't even think you can choose a Dual Wielding warrior in this game.
.... What the actual crap was Bioware thinking? Golurk, please tell me I'm wrong and just overreacting.
Otherwise I may start a new game and just play as a Mage. Anyway, until Golurk answers, I'm putting this on hold for a while. I don't know if I'm keeping this character or not.

They were trying to make the classes more defined.

They were trying to make the classes more defined. And in doing so, they made one class worthless, and took away one of the best aspects of the original game. That was a really, really stupid decision on Bioware's part. I'm going to keep this character, because I've grown kinda attached to him, but my opinion of and hype for the game just took a big hit. And that's not a good thing, since I'm still at the beginning of the game. I'm scared that I won't be able to wear the armor I want to now, because I'll be forced to prioritize gameplay later on. I guess I'll just lower the difficulty if that happens, but that really pisses me off. In a series that's all about customization, why the heck would you limit everything so drastically? It doesn't make any sense to me. I've decided my next character will be a female Dalish Elf mage named Mithy.

How did the make one class worthless? You've barely played the game.

How did the make one class worthless? You've barely played the game. Maybe 'worthless' isn't quite the right word. Try 'pointless'. The whole point of Rogues before was to disarm traps in the middle of battle, get loot, and disorient/stun enemies so your mage can heal everyone else. That was the entire point of their evasion; that they have more current(Not max) HP than the warrior(s), which in turn, allows you to keep your tank alive. This made Rogues almost essential to the party. While the backstab damage is awesome, it takes a few seconds to set up and is often situational. The actual DPS a Rogue can perform is easily overshadowed by a traditional Warrior!Dealer and a Warrior!Tank party. If you're using your Rogue as a DPS, then you aren't using him/her as effectively as you could. Now, you are right about one thing: I haven't played the game that much, and I should probably reserve judgement. But from what I've seen of the Rogue's possible skillset, and from what I know about how the gameplay works, the Rogue is relegated to a Dealer in Inquisition, which makes the class pointless, especially since they've buffed both Warriors and Mages in Inquisition.

Rogues are your DPS. They're the ones setting off combos.
Warriors and Rogues switched roles. Now your "Tank" is an actual tank.

Rogues are your DPS. They're the ones setting off combos. Warriors and Rogues switched roles. Now your "Tank" is an actual tank. But in the previous games, a Warrior could be a DPS as well, and a Rogue could be used for multiple purposes. That's my point. They restricted all the classed significantly, and I'm trying to understand why. The main reason I love playing as a Rogue is because of the non-gameplay elements, and all the tricks you can do in combat. None of which you can actually do in this game, save for a couple. And a Two Handed Warrior can still be a DPS, because they improved attack speed so much in this game. And again, that's my point. Rogues are no longer essential, or anywhere close to it. Hence me complaining about them being nerfed so much. But I will give credit where credit is due. Combat Stealth is so much more fluid and just overall better than it was before. Still though, it's a convenience, and not a necessity.

They wanted to make classes more specialized. They also wanted to make the game more about exploration, so instead of focusing on the little amount of elements like "pickpocketing", they worked on making gigantic and diverse areas.

Last update for the night, and a quick one. We continue past the abandoned house from before, and into the Witchwood, where we learn the Apostate stronghold is located. We find a small cabin in the woods, part of one of our many, many Sidequests, and end up having to fight a Terror Demon inside. The closed confines of the house actually worked against the very tall demon, and we easily dispatch it using the timeless Winters Grasp/Twin Fangs combo. Afterwards, we walk outside aaaand- wait for it- the entire area is now suddenly a battlefield! Templars and Mages everywhere!
We force our way through legions of baddies, and Cassy, Brolas™, and Varric level up. I give Brolas™ Ice Wall, cause YOLO. We finally make it past the battlefield, and set up another camp. Ooooh, and we find a treasure map just outside the camp. Nice and treasure map, nice and treasure map.
Anyway, that's it for tonight. Tomorrow, we'll finally continue the main story! So stay tuned, and remember, stay frisky!
PEACE!

Chapter 5: I HATE BEARS
Yay! Time for some more Inquisition! Last time, we... Did stuff. Killed some mages, demons, and templars. That kinda stuff. Also, dat opening theme tho.
Anyway, continuing on with the main story!.... Or not. We see another Rift within eyeshot of our camp and decide to *attempt to* take it out.
Eh, it turns out to be just a bunch of Lesser Shades. Nothing special. It seems like only that one Rift has a massively OP Rage Demon, thank the Maker. By the way, has anyone else noticed the similarities between religion in DA, and IRL Christianity, Judiasm, and Paeganism? Or is that just me? I understand you have to base a fantasy religion off something in order to make it truly believable, but the resemblance seems a bit more than simple groundwork.
Also, we get another Power point(Nice and Pokemon reference), which brings us up to a grand total of 12 PP. Maaaan, we are going to have a field day when we get back to Haven in Chapter 20.
We speak with Corporal Vale, who tells us a bunch of things we already know, and learn word of our efforts in the Hinterlands has already spread(Thanks to all those Sidequests). The Clerics are ready to meet with the Inquisition, so we can head back to Haven at any time. But first, we have a lot of stuff to wrap up in the Wilds. So let's go find that Horsemaster we heard about when we first got here a trillion years ago, and pay a visit to Redcliffe village afterwards.
Heading back onto the West Road, we stumble into some more Templar/Mage fighting(Of course), and come across the ruined Fort Connor, which has some decent loot and another landmark for the Landmark Quest. Also, another mountain of Red Lyrium. I thought this stuff was supposed to be rare?
We continue onwards past a couple of Templar encampments, taking out some more Templar Knights and Archers along the way. I actually have to use a potion for the first time in a while. Damn archers. And we find another dead dwarf, with another letter, talking about ANOTHER hidden package! Seriously! Didn't we already complete that quest? You're telling me there's yet another part to it?! What the hell is with all these damn dwarves and their stupid smuggling?! There better be something good at the end of this, not just minor loot.
We find a nearby Astrarium on the map(You know, that neat constellation puzzle thing) and attempt to find it, only to discover it's on top of a rather large mountain, near a heavily guarded Templar checkpoint. Cause nothing can ever be easy. Oh no, that would be way too simple. Trying to avoid the checkpoint, we try to climb the mountain instead, and ironically enough, the only one who has any luck is Varric. Damn dwarves and their billy goat ways.
Whelp, you know what this means! CHARGE!!!!!!
..... Heh. That could have gone better. Our party only has 2 potions left now. Why do freaking Quanari hit so bloody hard- AAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!! It's a giant Great Bear!!!! WHY DO THE TEMPLARS HAVE A PET BEAR?!!!!
Oh S***-!!!! It's ONE SHOTTING ME!!!! WHY IS IT DOING SO MUCH DAMAGE?!!!! HALP!!!!!
..... Yay. It died. Somehow I beat it. I so didn't lose and restart so I could have more Potions. Totally. Who do you think I am? Also, Brolas™ apparently approves of us killing random bears. I knew I liked him for a reason. Time to go restock our potions... Hmm... There's an undiscovered camp nearby, or we could just fast travel back to the Lakeside Camp. But then we would have to trek all the way back, so... YOLO!
*A few seconds later*
There's another bear!!! WHY ARE THERE SO MANY BEARS?!!!
*Sobs in terror*
Whew... Killed it, and safely made it to camp. Oooh, I may have also just found the way to that star puzzle thing... Let's go check it out. I think I'll save the actual puzzle for next time though. My phone is dying, and Broadchurch is on in a few minutes.
Yay, found the puzzle! And holy crap, does it look complicated. Definitely saving that for next time. That's all for tonight folks! If you enjoyed this episode, please remember to leave a Like- Wait, what do you mean this isn't YouTube? They can still leave a Like here!
