Get the pun? Did ya?! ;P So I've decided to revive the good old Q&A, but under a new name. In this wonderful, and slightly unnecessary topic, you(and I) are free to discuss all things UB. Past, present, and future. I will also host a semi-regular poll, such as best character etc, just like back in the old Q&A. Also, this topic is not limited to UB. Questions and Answers for any CYOA can be posted here, and all CYOAs will be eligible for future polls. So welcome! I, the one and only Creator of the Verse, declare The Unnecessary Hall open! So, guess what?! UB's one year anniversary will be in exactly three weeks from tomorrow!! It will be the very first anniversary of my very first CYOA!! And I want to do something big... But I have no idea what. So, with that in mind, anyone have any ideas?

It isn't coming along nearly as well as I'd hoped, and five months away hasn't helped matters. I'll try to get back to it soon. Sorry... And if anyone's interested, I'm going to be posting the Soundtrack updates here from now on. |

So I've decided what I'm going to do for the Anniversary. I'm going to create a 'UB Anniversary Topic', and everyone is invited to the party! There will be games, a contest with a pretty awesome reward, and hopefully, the unveiling of the first picture in the official UB Artbook!! There will be merryment aplenty, and anyone who attends, will receive a gift! A commemorative UB Medal for your User Profile, a fancy new medal I'm working on creating right now! There will be character polls, and for the first time ever, you can create your own UB character! Who knows, maybe they'll make a surprise appearance in the story?!!
Also, there will be a Secret Boss poll, where you can vote for ANY Video Game character from ANY series, and the character who wins will be featured in UB as a Secret Boss!! The poster whose idea wins will even get to name the rewards for defeating said boss!
There will also be the Fire Emblem Cameo poll! Whichever character wins will be featured in UB as a surprise Temporary Character in a Sidequest! Obviously, Fire Emblem characters who are already in UB cannot be chosen. Examples include Idoun, Grima, Loptyr, Medeus, Doma, Naga, Tiki, and Ashera.
And that's not all! There will be many more exciting events, with many more awesome prizes! So come one, come all!

I'll be creating a CYOA to put up within the next month. Expect it to be the spiritual sequel to OoD. Playing skyrim kicked my fantasy juices into high gear, and my baseline for my nuzlocke is set.
Side note: BTW, I have an account on deviantart, so if you want to make fun of my digital art skills, you have the chance since I have 0 experience with it.
It will probably include several of the themes and ideas I never mentioned in the OoD plotline, which means that I will probably never finish OoD, unless I drastically change it (same setting, different everything else to one degree or another).
For starters, how fond are you of spiders.

Oh gods, I hate spiders... Please no spiders Os. Anything but spiders. And you simply must finish OoD!  My life is not complete without Thio, Lindy, and... And... I-I hate you! *Runs away crying* Seriously though, my UB wouldn't even exist without OoD. I would be really sad to see it go, I mean it. |

It's good to see you again, Os. You seem excited to be working on this CYOA, and I'll be looking forward to it.
BTW, in case you didn't already know all of this, your nuzlocke is safe and sound, ready to be posted in. Since the last time you posted, the board also got an archive, on April Fool's of all days, but it actually wasn't a joke, and it's still around. And big things are about to start happening in Nova, and even if you're not ready to continue your characters' plots yet, it would be nice to have you rejoin the conversation, and maybe participate in the revived mailbag segments. It's just not the same without seeing Dunacn and Shadow Lugia fighting the rebels.

Welcome, welcome! I too would love to see OoD continued, but I'm not sure about restarting the entire thing. Well, if Os does decide to restart it, then at least we can fix a few mistakes. Like saving Hawk and Thorn! And ThioxMelara FTW!!!! Oh wait just a moment... That means we'll have to do Chapter 7x over, won't we? *Shiver* Oh God... Also, I envy your courage sir. I would sooner relive my first deployment a thousand times over than live in a room with 8 spiders. |

Ironically, I have the clarity now to fix the flaws in my plot if I were to do it all over again, but I spent a month ramming my head into a wall hoping that it would break before my suspension of disbelief did. I couldn't finish it, but I could try it again. Anthiok isn't dead. And neither are the rest of them, but they would need to change. Some more than others, and Some would be erased entirely *cough*Dana*cough*. It would need a reboot, not a rehash. Nobody likes a rehash (is an avid pokemon fan), but nobody likes a rehash in literature. If I were to make this right now, which I might considering that Thio is going to show up at one point or another, The returning characters include: Anthiok Matthew (without the whole Yandere thing he had for Lindy.) Lindy Melara Zairthe Thiala (who you'd actually meet [sort of]) Cyrus Lorkan Bramble Thorn (that one albino Taguel you never met.) Alicia Eleanor Esoteria (without the random name. Had no clue that Esoteric was a word when I made it up) Hawke Walt Kari Zenia Varrus Beldore (now named Bel) Thane Nymm Anna I've also found the show know as Attack on Titan and this a glorious ensemble of Germanic names, among other things. And now I've had an excellent idea. As a matter of fact, I will be doing exactly this. But I will need... Never mind. Can't spoil everything. We need an evil grin emote. Do we have that? |

It has gone through some major changes before I realized that the specific story I was trying to tell would be better as a comic, because of how front heavy it is. I can condense it easier that way, and improve my drawing skills. I couldn't make it seem less exposition heavy otherwise and keep the story the same. Don't worry though. I'm not going to let it die, but that specific story I know I can't do justice to while writing it. There is another one I need to tell, though so keep it open, because that one would be very easy for me to write. I just need to not die next time (stupid ice cavern and its stupid trainers harder than the gym leader) |

Os I really hope you bring back OoD in some form or other. And to neo spiders are not that bad once you get past primate caution instinct. Particularly jumping spiders, those little guys are adorable☺.
