I know Smexy's busy finishing his FT post, but anyone else? Gray? Anyone? Fine, I'll wait to see if Smexy decides to participate, then I'll roll the RNG.

Last call for numbers before I roll the RNG. I'm gonna update UB again afterwards, just to get us to camp, then I'm going to bed. I think I should be good to start posting in RPs again tomorrow. It's a lot sooner than I originally planned... But I've calmed down a lot today, and my head is a bit clearer.

*Rolls RNG* And the winner is... Drum role please... 19! You guys get a Goddess Icon! The other possibilities were kinda funny. Golurk somehow chose the number for a Cheese Sandwhich. GX was really, really close to choosing a certain extremely OP tome. FF Flare

Yay, two posts in two hours! I'm so proud of myself. I need a break from writing though, so I'm gonna go play KOTOR for a bit.

Okay, let's be real for a moment. I want to finish UB. I really do. I desperately want to finish it. But UB tanked not simply because I grew too busy, or solely because of WB, but because I tried to do too fracking much at once. The story became too convoluted and complicated, and UB ended up like Kingdom Hearts's timeline. Unfortunately, this is a common trap that inexperienced writers fall into, and before UB, I hadn't tried to write anything serious in some time. I was stuck in an unfortunate little thing known as "author's low" at the time, and that lead me to making several big, horrible mistakes when planning UB. Even under the best of circumstances, the "too much crap trap" is very, very difficult to write yourself out of. Couple that with my s*** storm of a life and, well, you get where we are now. So we're gonna have a little talk.
I might have a way to dig myself out of this hole and continue UB, but before we talk about that, I want to see who's still interested. How many people still want me to continue UB?

I don't think it's simply inexperienced writers that fall into such a predicament; experienced writers can achieve it too by planning something grand and large, and then realizing later on that they didn't utilize the correct resources to achieve their long-term goal.
I wouldn't mind seeing UB start up again; it was one of the CYOA that got me into making my own. Though I would have to do a lot of rereading to get up to snuff.
