Well that isn't helpful.
I guess I'll leave that up to SMEX. Would you like to recommend anything though?

If I have no idea what kind of backstory you want for the character, then there's no reason for me to suggest anything. You could just send me a PM that explains it, and we'll see if I can understand it well enough to come up with something.

Okay, I read that article and a few more on the site. Now, what else might I need to know before you list the requirements of this backstory?

My bad, I was busy all day and by extent tonight. Anyways, this is what I got: As opposed to Lida, Banks was a child prodigy of a large family who discovered his powers at an early age when he was cleaning a mirror(And he worked hard to hide his special powers for fear of being hunted/studied). Despite his large family, he remained lonesome and distant from everyone because of his power.
He blamed mediocre government representatives and corporate corruption for his family being kept in a perpetual low income state and thus miss out on better opportunities. To correct this(Well get out of the situation) he delved into his studies hoping a proper education would grant him the high life his economic/social class denied him. All it ever got him though was certificates. Not satisfied with the amount of time it was taking to for his hard work to pay off, he began to grow a disdain for the world. With his hatred for the economic system and humanity growing during his adolescence, he sought to collapse the world economy and have conduits surpass humanity as the dominant sentient species. He knew it wouldn't be possible from the outside, so after graduating from an Ivy league school, he went to work on wall street. Given that this too only amounted to more endless hours of work, he made as big an impression as possible to get ahead in the company he was working at(Let's say Exxon). When he was finally an executive with shares of the company, he staged a coup to takeover as CEO with the help of other members.
Fast forward a little later and he gets involved with the original planner of the C.D.D.A. after accidentally revealing his powers at a social event by picking up a wine glass. Of course it's covered up to the public, but he learns about their plans and agrees to help and fund the project. He decides to take over this organization in a more hostile manner by killing the original planner, and then proceeds to change policy. They start experimenting on conduits to try and develop a weapon that can kill off/transform humans and activate conduits. And that's where our story begins...
Oh yeah and that's his other motivation, destroying the world economy, shutting down the global communications system to send everyone back into the dark ages. Except for those he deems worthy.
Sorry that took so long, and GX can come up with an idea as well. I'll probably be gone today as well as I'm busy.

The Ray Sphere kind of already does what he's looking for though.
I like the beginning, up until he joins the CDDA. Also, I don't think wanting the total collapse of the economy would fit him all that well. I'd imagine that he would want total control over the economy, essentially creating a communist world. This along with him wanting Conduits to be more accepted, even if by force, I think he'd find (or be found by) the remnants of the First Sons shortly after the events of inFAMOUS 2, who would be curious as to how he survived the RFI. Since he has all the resources and power, he'd take control while they try to study him and other surviving Conduits. After seeing Delsin win over the people in Seattle and defeat the DUP, they'd swoop in as the CDDA and convince the government to use them as part of a team of Conduit-detainment agencies, while they want to just study and amplify the abilities of Conduits. Vincent, however, doesn't really care about the how they survived and work, but how he could use them to institute his dream. Also, this would allow for a very special plot twist that I'd like to use later on.

So, GX, do you have anything you want to say?
Also, I wonder what's taking 2ylyt so long in The Aftermath...

So, GX, do you have anything you want to say? FeMUxLibra is a really sweet support. I like very few of either Avatar's romantic supports. Really, there's only three I like, with FeMUxLibra being my favorite... Oh, that's not what you meant. Anyway...I'm too busy working on the support log in FE:A to sit down and make another possible backstory for Vincent. But I'll do that soon, and I'll give some alternatives that might fix some of the potential problems in the other backstory, so that we have plenty of options. Could you send me a PM with what you have decided on regarding Vincent himself, what you're really hoping to have with his backstory, anything that must be included, what you don't want in the backstory... Yeah, it will be an info dump, but it will help me decide on a backstory.

Well, it wasn't for you to make your own backstory, but suggestions on what SMEX and I have discussed.

It's just that I don't want to bother you with doing an entire backstory. If it was something I didn't want to do, I wouldn't have offered to do it. It's not that hard for me to take a few minutes to try and come up with something.

Okay then, by all means, go ahead. It's just that some people would do such a thing because they feel obligated.

One backstory, scattered, smothered, covered, peppered, and topped coming right up!
Waffle House references aside, this really is kinda scatterbrained because I typed it a few sentences at a time, while dealing with a killer headache. I really liked the idea of Vincent trying to educate himself in order to move up in the world, only to find it too slow, so I used it myself. It was a great way to provide a transition from normal guy trying to make a name for himself, to that guy who worked with the First Sons. I also recycled some of the job plans, but I changed it to keep it local so that it makes sense that the CDDA, despite being brand new, would be in Atlanta. If you look really close (and can get past the scatterbrained parts) you can see a lot of the other plan in this one.
Grew up in Savannah, and was the only child in an abusive family. He ended up being taken from his parents and dumped into the foster care system every few years, while his parents or other relatives would eventually regain custody of him. When living with relatives, he would eventually be given back to his parents even though they were never officially given custody again, and the cycle would just repeat. While he was a teenager he was living in a fairly good foster home, but when the foster parents lost their jobs, they were unable to care for so many children, after which point he lived in one of the worst foster homes whenever his parents or relatives didn't have custody of him. He did, however, do quite well in school, and between his grades and his unfortunate circumstances, he earned several scholarships that allowed him to attend a good college, and study all sorts of different things in the medical field.
Because he felt he had no control over his own life as a child, he seized the chance to take control of it as an adult. His studies allowed him to see the life or death situations of which the outcome was decided by if someone recieved proper medical care. He began to see how doctors had a chance to play god. He saw how the research that created new cures and vaccines could save thousands. And he knew that he wanted to do something like that. He wanted to control everything.
While he was still quite young he started working for the CDC. He primarily studied how diseases were changing with time and adapting, but that bored him. He still hadn't found the control that he so desperately wanted and worked for.
It was during that time, while he was searching for purpose, that he met a member of the First Sons. He thought he had found a new purpose, but once again he found himself doing menial taks, until the person he met encouraged him to go back to the CDC, and do more research before coming back to the First Sons.
He went back, and it was right before he was going to quit that his Conduit powers activated. At first he was scared, thinking that it would change so much, causing him to lose control. But soon after he started to realize the power that he had, he began to believe that that was the control he always wanted. With power, came control. Normal humans would never be able to control someone with that much power, so he wanted to become even stronger.
After the events in Seattle, some of his old associates that had been part of the First Sons contacted him, and told him about their new group, the CDDA, and it's goals. Seeing his opprotunity to gain control over so much more than just his own life, he agreed and helped them establish the CDDA, and became the leader.
The more powerful Conduits they found, the more he realized that he could assemble an army of powerful Conduits that were loyal to him, and between that force and the respect the CDDA would have at that time after detaining hundreds of dangerous and notorious Conduits, essentially saving the public, Conduits could become the new upper class, the new elites of society. Never would they have to be outcasts, they would be the supreme beings, and he would be the most powerful man in the world. He would control everything.

Also, SMEX, In order to keep the progress of the CDDA recapturing/recruiting Conduits realistic, along with keeping Mark Dustin's story all and well, I might change it so that the RP takes place four months after Second Son.
