1243 1E, 5th Age. The Age of Darkness. Ratatosk mentions it's a few years before the war began, but I'm still not sure what year exactly.

I have no idea, so hoping the above two are correct and abstaining.

I was actually just waiting for another vote, cause I don't like locking a poll with only two votes... But hey! That's the right answer anyway, so moving on.
Final Question
What is the name of Trail's father?

Marik.

I honestly can't remember, so I'm going with Slykirby's choice.

That's Trail's real name. Although now that Neo brought up the possibility of trick questions, I'm beginning to feel less confident about my previous answer.

You guys do know it's either in the second or third topic, right? I recall seeing it when I read it. It's in ine if those, I'm sure. Try looking. I make it easier, set it to 50 posts a page instead of ten. It does wonders. Good luck.

Trail has a fairly lengthy conversation about his father towards the end of the fifth topic. The problem is, since this might be a trick question, Neo might be looking for a different character then we think. The only other possibility I can think of is that we should take Trail's "Chaosborn" title literally, which would make the answer Yormungand.

Excuse my typos. But I get the feeling it isn't a trick question. It's simple and suspicious, but perhaps he's luring y'all into thinking it is.
Military personnel are pretty darn smart. Especially when you make strategies and lead the team.
Don't be too hasty to disregard your first option.

Someone has the right idea... Not gonna say who, or what that idea is... But someone's figured out more than they should. Here, I'll give you guys one last hint. Hint: Trail & co haven't met Him yet.

I'll wait for Neo to answer Fenris' question.

I'll wait for Neo to answer Fenris' question. Sorry, but I can't. That would give it away. I've given you guys all the hints I can. But the answer really isn't that difficult. I like trick questions yes, but complicated matters annoy me.

Technically, we kinda did meet Yormungand when we returned to our empire during Kanis' father's mad plan. If I recall correctly, we saw parts of his body coming out before we ended it.
Which is why I say technically. So...

Since Gray hasn't posted again, and he originally backed Sly, I'm going to go ahead and lock Sly's answer in.
So... Technically, the answer was a simple 'we haven't met him yet'. That's all you guys had to say. Really. I mean it. Marik may not be his biological father, but you, the readers, haven't met Marik in the story. You only know him from flashbacks/memories. You also haven't met Trail's biological father, hence the perfect answer, and why I didn't specify which father I meant in the original question.
However, due to spoilers(Which aren't really spoilers now I guess) I'm going to allow Sly's answer. So yay! It's finally time for some actual story progression!

(POV Nagi)
Darkness has long since descended over the endless forest, and still your search remains fruitless. Eren and Sonia have seemingly vanished off the face of the planet. The same nagging feeling from before, that you somehow know what's going on, still plagues you. This entire scenario... You washing up on an island with barely a shred of memory, finding these people, meeting Sonia, the legend of the Guardian, all these illusions, and now the sisters' vanishing act. It all feels so damn familiar, like you're standing on a stage, playing the lead actor in a play you've performed countless times before, and yet you can't remember your lines. It's driving you insane.
You continue onwards in the same direction you chose back when you first started searching- West, pushing yourself past your own exhaustion. This continues for several hours, with you mindlessly hacking any and all foliage barring your way into ribbons. At this point, you could give half a damn about the forest's wellbeing. All you want is to find the sisters, and make sure they're okay.
Eventually, the worry and exhaustion finally gets to you, and your legs buckle. You loose a foul curse as you fall, landing on the damp ground on your hands and knees, scattering leaves and twigs in multiple directions. You stay like that for a few minutes, trying to catch your breath. You haven't eaten or drank anything substantial since lunch, and you realize now even your strength has its limits. It takes a lot of work, but you finally manage to coax some movement out of your legs. You grab your spear off the ground and shakily rise to your feet, your legs as stiff as the trunks of the trees around you, and stumble your way over to a particularly large tree nearby. You lean against it for a few more minutes, allowing the tree to support you, and you suddenly shiver. You hadn't noticed before, with all the adrenaline and how much you're sweating, but the temperature has plummeted in the last couple of hours, and now it's freezing.
You sneeze. Dammit... I'm not dressed for this. I don't even have a cloak.
But who in their right mind would blame you for that mistake? This island is a tropical paradise, and you only planned to be gone for a short trip. How the hell were you supposed to know you were going to get sucked into some crazy, freezing alternate dimension?!
You sneeze again, and wipe your nose on your glove. A bit disgusting maybe, and very unladylike, but at this point, you really, really don't care. After a few more minutes of resting against that very helpful tree, your legs begin to loosen up a bit. You stretch them out cautiously- the last thing you want is to take another nosedive- and set out to find shelter. You're about to settle on a tent of sticks and branches, when you notice a large gap in one of the trees, concealed by a thorn bush. You investigate further, and discover the tree is hollow; there is a hole on both sides of the trunk, with the space inside resembling a tunnel. The tree isn't anywhere close to those thousand foot giants, but it's still far larger than normal, and the trunk is thick.
You get on your hands and knees to inspect it further, and to make sure it's not already occupied, and thankfully it isn't. You rustle around for a bit, looking for poisonous spiders or other nasty things, and find nothing. You breathe a sigh of relief. Thank the Heavens for small favors. You head out again to gather some branches, but you don't even bother trying to hunt or find water. You haven't seen one sizeable animal or stream in you can't even remember how long... Pun intended.
You crawl back into the hollow and set up a makeshift door on both sides, using the collected branches. You then finish off the last of the dried meat from your pack, and it as a pillow. You shiver again, albeit not as violently as before. You remove your helmet and drape it over your midsection. With the mane of fur it has, it will make a halfway decent blanket. You wouldn't dare start a fire in this place, so it's all you have.
You close your eyes and try to get comfortable, intent on getting at least some sleep, and your exhaustion overtakes you. Without even noticing, your surroundings melt away, and you're once again teleported to some far off land. This time however, it is sleep, and not magic that takes you.
