They gave Rathalos poison attacks... Well, at least he has a new theme. Rathalos has always had a poison attack. His feet talons inflict it unless you mean his tail now. Also, it takes forever to kill Querepeco with the bone heavy bowgun. Is it me or does killing and carving take forever was a gunner? Also do shots like poison shot for heavy bowngun depend on what rare type your weapon is? Rare 1 and etcetera? No, Rathalos has not always had poison attacks. And unless something has changed since I last played 3U, Low Rank!Rathalos cannot inflict poison with his talons. He has a pinning attack, but not a homing poison strike, which he has in 4U. I don't know how shots work, since I've never run a gunner. But carving always takes the same amount of time, unless you have a -Carve skill, though I think that only decreases the amount of times you can carve, not your carving speed. However, if you crouch before you carve, you will carve faster.

Jaggi: "Oh look, that hunter just brought down a Berserk Tigrex right in front of us. I know! Let's go attack him while he carves!"

I should be able to join you guys tomorrow. You know, since MH4U finally arrived at my local post office! Yay!!! Make sure to PM me once you get access to the Gathering Hall(You have to complete the beginning quests first). I get notified via email when I'm PMed, so in case I'm not online at the time, you won't have to wait for me.

Ah Shagaru... I remember now why I love fighting him so much. The fight with him, the ending scenes, the credits theme... This game is a million times more epic than 3U.
Whelp, main story is done! Time for High Rank village quests, Kushala, and G Rank after that. But first, time to farm me some Elder Dragons!
.... Seriously though, I think I have a new favorite dragon. I still love Akantor, but now... I think I may have underestimated just how much fully understanding this game would affect me. Just wait til you see Shargaru, GX. He's so incredibly beautiful.

After hours, I finally get an Arzuros brace… AFTER I UPGRADE the Bone Blaster and used all my Machalite Ore.
Ha ha, I'm so angry I'm laughing!

I recently discovered that this game is for 3DS and not WiiU. The U in 4U confused me. I'm considering buying 4U. Is it easy to pick up or do I need some coaching or train of some sort?

Is it easy to pick up or do I need some coaching or train of some sort? 4U is definitely the most player friendly game in the series, with a lot of tutorials. So yeah, you could get it and learn how to play. It will also be easier for you, since you'll have people to hunt with. However, the difficulty in this game is comparable to Freedom Unite on the PSP. In other words, bat**** insane. And the combat system is 95% skill based. So it's up to you. The difficulty doesn't really spike until High Rank though, so you'll have plenty of time to get used to the game before things get crazy.

It sounds worth it.Thanks Neo.

Don't mention it. Just helping a friend. And yes, the game is definitely worth it. Also, you'll be able to hunt alongside Golurk, GX, and I! I love this game. I really do. I did rage a bit last night though, when I was farming Shagaru for Plates. Hey Golurk, you ready to do online yet? What monster are you looking forward to in the online quests? I can't wait to fight Ukanlos.

I'm on the Mega Potion quest because I was in character creation for a while and then I had to eat dinner.

When can you buy potions/farm honey/mushrooms? Unfortunately, you can't buy potions until either Cheeko Sands or Cathar, one or the other. Don't remember which off the top of my head. It's either the 3rd or 4th Village. You can get an actual Farm in Cathar I think, but I don't remember how. I'll look it up in a few. But until then, you can only 'Multiply' items, and you have to wait until after the 1st Village before you can do that. In the meantime, you should download the Starter Pack DLC. It will help tremendously.
