Alright, X, let's talk about Nak-Nak (who's there?). Since we'll probably be fighting him soon. Advice from a guy who's fought him enough to have both his armor sets and a handful of his weapons.

-If you get hit with Mucus (blue ooze), don't roll or get knocked down, or you'll get Boned and won't be able to do anything but roll or use a cleanser.
-If you get Boned, either run to me/Neo or one of the pools. Hitting someone covered in Bone will knock them off.
-The light-blue pools on either end of the arena, near the ballistae - rolling in them will remove Mucus or Bone.
-Smacking Nakky's shell will cause shinies to drop. These shinies are special ballista ammo. It fires/loads faster than standard ballista ammo.
-I have no idea if the ballista is actually worth using, damage-wise, but I use the crap out of it.
-There's 3 supply-scavenging points in the arena. The two near the ballistae have ballista ammo. The one near one of the pools has might/adamant seeds and cleansers.
-You get some special items in the supply box - Binders and Dragon Bombs. The first time, leave them for me and Neo and we'll show you what they do.
-When Nakky stops producing Mucus, it's because he's preparing his Hyper Tronium Buster Cannon. The first time or two he's exposed like that, I'll ping that I'm about to use a binder. That'll hold him in place for a bit. Be ready to whale on his exposed face.
-When he's not producing mucus, glowing red, and gets to the edge of the arena, he's about to fire. Get close to him, against the edge of the arena and try to attack his back. But don't get anywhere near his face. Because apparently attacking the side of his head while he's firing's enough to put your hand in the attack hitbox or something. I assume it's a dragon-type attack, and with like 500 defense and 25 dragon resistance you'll still take ~140 damage from that hit. I'll try to ping a few times to warn you when it's time to RUN.
-Bring pickaxes. When we do enough damage, he'll topple over. Some red arrows will appear pointing at his face; I'll ping, as well. This is your chance to run up his face onto his back and mine from his weak point. Neo or I'll drop a dragon bomb by it. You should have just enough time between the bomb being planted and it exploding to fully mine him. Don't attack the weak point if people are mining.
-After he's toppled and gets back up, he leaves a super-special shiny behind. That'll either be 5 Timeworn Ballista Ammo, or a Binder. If it's a binder... well, you'll have seen how they work. Just go to the ballista and use it.
-Speaking of ballista, if you have a certain ammo equipped in your item slot, that's what the ballista will use. If you don't have a certain ammo equipped, it'll default to... Timeworn? Then standard. And will only switch to Binder if you're completely out of everything else.

-Remember standing in his mucus does a poison-like damage over time effect. It's a lot more damaging than you'd expect, so don't risk it.
-Sadly, you can only see it if he kills you and you're back in the start area, but there's a beautiful view out when he's in blue-rage-mode. I think his might actually be time-based instead of damage-based like most rage modes? Because it corresponds to the moon being out.

Ballistas do set damage, so they're great for Nakky's first stage, and if I recall, they have built-in partbreaker as well. They're outdamaged by dedicated explosive builds, like the Lost Musket Recoil Down +3 set, which just spams Triblast, Cannon, Crag, and Cluster ammo, but runs out quickly, so it's nearly impossible to solo with only one. Get a team of 2-4 with extra combo items and you can take him down really easily.

Alternatively, for his second phase, go with Dragon DB/IG or Raw Striker Lance for lots of face damage.

It took me 29 minutes to solo a LR Lagi using the lv 2 Astalos HBG, Striker style. Granted, it's a weapon I've never used before, and I only used Normal 1 shots cause I'm broke and stingy, but still. That's pretty bad. I wanted to test out how powerful the Supernova art is, to see if spamming it against Nakky would be a viable option. It's not. Think I'm gonna farm Brachy for his LBG, eat for Bombardier, and try soloing him again.

Edit: NVM, Brachy's LBG needs 3 Marrow, and Hyper Hunter II tickets. Yeah. No.
