Ah. I remember when Neo ate for Game Changer to troll me on a harvest tour. I had never fought the pickle. I still don't hate the pickle.
My cat is now okay, but it's also 1 in the morning and I have to get up at a decent time tomorrow. He's been pacified by a combination of food and my vocalizing random melodies. I'm going to try to get some sleep while he's not trying to claw my face off.

We lost to X's urgent Plesioth...
To be fair, I have a headache from staying up all night killing Nak-nak because **** Nakky. And was screwing around in Chakra gear for added challenge.
X, the vitality gems are useless. Skills need to hit a baseline threshold for the skill to actually do anything. You have 4 vitality1 gems set, putting the skill value at 8. They don't do anything until the value hits 10. And then anything from 10-14 gives a small boost to health. Breaking 15 gives you +50 (max) HP. Anything beyond 15 is wasted.
So you'd be better setting some gems to either push the... attack boos? to the next threshold value, or undo whatever the armor's negative is.

I was Astalos. So HydroFox. Actually, making his armor's a huge pain. 4 hunts and I have 1 piece made. Breaking those claws is stupid hard.
Speaking of making new armor, my almost-done set's skills are Hunter Art centric. Which... CB and SA, not so much. I've got a few ideas of weapons to try, but any particular recommendations? It's gotta be big and pack a lotta boom.

Bowguns destroy her claws. Also, HydroFox is female. I refuse to believe otherwise. I deny your reality and substitute my own. Also, GS, SnS, or LS. GS probably has the strongest arts- heck lotta boom- but it's also the most difficult to use. Though Aerial GS is a blast. Both Aerial and Striker SnS are really good. And SnS has the SHOR-YUUUUUUUUKEN!!! LS is just easy mode. |

Or Rajang. Or Furious Rajang. Or like... Any of the Deviants minus Lagombi. Normal Deviljho is actually really easy if you've fought him before and actually have good gear. I'll be able to solo him easily once I get HR gear. |

Dung Bombs are used to force a monster to flee to a different area, force a monster to let go of you if it's pinned you and is eating you, and.... Something else that I always forget.
