Los Muertos Hideout: Abandoned Fort Pandrah - Southeast Alibab Republic

"Any last words?!"

Having slaughtered the remainder of Los Muertos members who had put up a fight and hadn't already fled to committed themselves to playing possum, Irving held his mark by the neck. Despite having a noticeable amount of blood dripping from a wound in his side that he's failed to notice, he was otherwise mostly unharmed. His mark, however, had a bloody face an was undoubtedly housing a number of broken bones.

The mark said nothing, choosing to groan instead.

"Whatever."

Irving clenched his fist and swung it at his target. In that brief instance in the middle of his swing, however, he suddenly vanished.

Somewhere that is most definitely not the Los Muertos Hideout

One blink of the eye later, Irving's fist ended up hitting empty air when he expected the crack and impact of his target's skull. A brief look at the large theater audience in front of him was all that it took for him to know he was suddenly somewhere else. He stood up a bit straighter and found that he was now on a stage with a redhead woman skipping across the stage and three other water nymph strangers posing to the audience seductively.

"...What the hell just happened?" He asked no one in particular.

As the narrator, I wish to take the time to inform you all that this is the end of the references to a certain other tale during this introduction.

"And here's our second guest for the second episode of the second Mailbag series!" declared Anna. "And with a come-from-behind darkhorse victory to boot!"

"What the hell is going on here?!" yelled Irving suddenly. All four of the other show hosts onstage jumped in response, with one of the nymphs outright bolting to backstage in fright.

"Okay, okay!" said Anna. "You're here to-- awww c'mon! We just waxed the floors and you come in here bleeding all over the place?! Anyway, to put it short, your fans get to ask some questions that you have to answer."

"You made me lose a mark and miss out on cash", growled Irving. "If you know what's good for you, you better pay com--... What's the word?"

"Compensation?" suggested Anna.

"Yeah, that."

"Don't worry, you'll be paid handsomely for your time!" she lied. "Anyway, would you please just go backstage and get some bandages or something?! Ye gods man, you're like a geyser of blood!"

Irving shrugged as he went to where Anna pointed. "Whatever."

Anna scowled at the pool of blood left behind before forcing a smile and turning to the audience. "Anyway, send in your questions! We'll try to calm him down backstage in the meantime!"

Just happy Baron and the gang got votes this time around.
