A live orchestra played a remix of that other mailbag show's guitar riff with violins, flutes, and a tuba as the curtains to the open stage parted and the audience applauded as Anna walked onstage with obvious enthusiasm, blowing kisses to the audience as the nymphs performed sensual dances in the background.
Compared to the other show, this stage was less modern and more old-timely, like a globe theatre as opposed to an auditorium, complete with wooden contraptions, magic lamps for lighting, traditional stage props, and traditional wooden recording equipment transmitting 1080p video and images to traditional wooden HD TVs for viewers at home, as well as live-streaming through something called the internet, among other things.

Rules are simple: First, we shall name off characters that we ourselves would like to nominate as a possible candidate for an episode centered around them. Then, the nominations are listed and voted upon, with majority vote dictating which character gets the spotlight, during which they get to write a post here, in this topic, with the character's arrival on the stage. Then, other users shall send, via PM, questions to be asked to the character to whoever is presently in control of the spotlight character. The person-in-charge then posts the episode in whatever the current main-line episode is after a timespan of however-long-they-feel-like elapses (though take too long and the voting round happens again with their episode postponed or cancelled). After the episode ends, the process repeats itself.
The contents of the episode can be whatever the user-in-charge wants. The only rule is that the questions should be answered as in-character as possible, so feel free to make up scenariosand questions that you feel viewers would see as entertaining, though the "you've been selected!" PM may or may not nudge you in a certain direction because **** it, I'm the headmaster of this and I can abuse powers of suggestion whenever I want.
Now, some of you veterans may be asking 'But Anna, are they going to be forced into wearing revealing swimsuits for the audience to look at while they answer our questions like in the other show?' Well, the truth is that this is only the first season of this particular show, and not a whole lot of them were around for the other show. As such, swimsuit episodes (or whatever "special", really) are left to the free decisions of the writers. You know, to ease them into how stuff works here before getting into wackier hi-jinks.
Also, you may be thinking 'Hey Anna, can we ask questions related to a certain crossover event?' Well, there's nothing stopping you from asking anyway, but Oz is another canon entirely, so that would require a different show for that batch of people." Anna took a brief aside at a camera. "Stay tuned." She faced the audience again. "In other words, don't bring Oz canon into main-line Austur canon.
For now though, I think that about covers the basic. Since we're starting off, here begins the Nomination Period. If you -- that is, the writers -- have a character you wish to have participate in the show, simply say their names, and they will be nominated for an episode based on them. You may also group a multiple of characters into one group; for instance, a brother-sister minor character duo, or a team of four vigilantes. Note that if you take this route, it is best of the group actually have relations with each other.
Then, comes the VOTING PERIOD. The rules are subject to change depending on how many potential voters and nominated characters there are, but for now:
How to vote:
Rank the characters you would like to see in two ranks, with 1st place counting as two votes, 2nd counts as just one vote.
For example:

Billy would receive two votes, while HHD would get one vote. Obviously, the one with the most votes will be the one who gets the next episode. In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by alphabetical order of the name they're most commonly referred to as both in and out of the story (for example, Bob Vargas is mostly just called Bob in the story, so Bob would it. Meanwhile, Tom Hoffman is mostly called Mr. Hoffman, so it would be "Hoffman". For convenience's sake, aliases like "Jane Doe" will be ignored and their real names will be used, unless it is unknown).
