If you can come up with an idea that is perfectly reasonable and something Serlen and Shalla would do in-character, be my guest. My ears are open. To appease a deity or demigod while on some epic quest that they have to finish for whatever reason and that's the only way to progress, and they just didn't realize it would continue to be binding long afterwards? Or maybe, in a similar manner, they have to get married for the sake of their cover on a mission or something, and it turned out to be binding as well? Or it's a political move and they thought they could get out of it, when they really couldn't. Then there's the accidental obscure ceremony thing CDM mentioned. The political move thing would fit quite well actually. Demigod wouldn't work well, but I could certainly come up with something related to Shalla's dream in life, and have that correspond to it. I think I'll go with the Shalla's journey thing once the current two arcs are over. I'll have to think it over some more and plan stuff out, and what I want to happen there. I forgot the name of the continent this is set on, so I'll resort to Austur. Does it have temples and such? I know there was some talk about it having been long lost, but that's a general idea I could go with... Unless Shalla is somehow Shiryuan, which might work? .... If it did, that would open up a whole lot of family backstory, and add to her character as well. Stretching this a bit in case it's accepted, I'll not only need a walkdown of how Shiryuan marriages go, but if there's something that requires a pilgrimage of some sort for a priestess that culminates into marriage somehow. There is seriously no way to go wrong with the infinite possibilities before me. Of course, in reason, and if Neo has some things, of course. Can't overstep the creator. |

Well, considering there's a Shiryuan marriage going on right now... I'm pretty sure I can help with that, Fen-Fen.  Shalla being Shiryuan would definitely work. There is a sort of pilgrimage High Priestesses and High Priests go on, so Shalla being the daughter of a High Priest/Priestess would work fine. The current arc of yours could easily propel Shalla into going on said pilgrimage, since, you know, the Black King is a worshipper of you-know-who. I'll PM you once I get off work, Fen-Fen, and we'll start planning.  |

Though I've decided what I want Talia's arc to be. King of... It's been so long, I can't even remember not-Arabia's name... Anyway, king dies mysteriously, prince takes the throne, Talia decides to kill him.
