I'm creating this topic for open discussion and to log lore stuff.
These are the primary nations:
The Alibab Republic is in the center and has the southern shore, there is a large deposit of minerals in the small mountain range that acts as the natural border between it and the Cleatian Empire. However, the majority of the ore is on the Cleatian side of the border, which has many dwarves in the area. Has a human population around 6 Million.The Alibab Republic seeks to unite all nations through trade and diplomacy, but these can be very, loose. Slavery is rampant and so is forced prostitution. The heads of the government are the council, who are established individuals who are elected. Those with more influence have more say in who becomes part of the council.
The Cleatian Empire is on the western side of the continent, and has a few islands off of the mainland. The wetlands are near the ocean and on the islands, while the plains tend to be in the middle, and the forests closer to Jorkun. Has a human population around 10 Million. The Cleatian Empire is lead by an emperor, who has a senate and rules over several kings. These kings each govern a province independently, but the emperor holds supreme power. They seek to control the world with absolute power, but do it in a manner that gives each member freedom (No slavery).
The Jorkun Pact is the smallest of the four, occupying only a small portion of land in the north-east. The hills here carry lots of ore, and some of it is traded to the Cleatians and the Shiryus. Has a human population around 2 Million. The Jorkun Pact doesn't really have a government. It's a bunch of Jarls who gain their position by being the most powerful in their clan who mainly just want to live. They don't care about politics, and mostly just want to live away from others where they can be a nice big family. However, they are incredibly territorial.
The Shiryu Alliance is on the eastern fourth of the continent, but has many islands containing most of the non-metal resources offshore. The mountains contain many rare minerals, like Orichalcum, but metals like gold and silver are found more in Alibab. Has a human population in 9 Million. The Shiryu Alliance is lead by the heads of four respected families, each head controlling a certain part, like the navy, the educational system, etc. There is often arguing between the heads. They seek to seize the world and make sure everyone has access to everything (basically communism).
There are also individual smaller nations within each country, but they are fairly sparse.
