It needs a magnet, though it can't be made magically. It can be extracted magically though, which is helpful.

As HHD said, Mythril is the best choice. Mythril is largely mined in the Shiryu Alliance, in the offshore mining settlements. They are the main producer and trader of Mythril.

Any way metal manipulating type 6 magic can do anything and more than we can do with real life metallurgy, not even mentioning all the funky mythical metals in Austur. So just accept that my engine does what I say it does because the mythical alloys involved have the properties I say they do. Otherwise will be arguing in circles for days. Also you don't even need metal to make magnetic fields and or electricity in real life certain bacteria generate magnetic fields with compounds containing nothing but H N C P S & Cl, so there are more things in heaven and earth...

Except that the existence of those bacteria may be non-existent in Austur, much less discovered. Plus, unlike in real life, the sciences aren't terribly developed in Austur except for physics. Plus, those bacteria cannot form sufficient magnetic fields.

I didn't say the bacteria are in Austur I was just illustrating that there's more than one way to skin the cat of magnetism. Heck look at Jupiter a big ball of gas yet it puts all the magnets on earth to shame. Many ways don't go acting all strict standard engineering, especially for a fantasy world.

Well, you have to remember that each fantasy world has its creator who decides what's allowed and what is not.
Plus, the ship would still work. Having some magnets in the dynamo isn't a problem.
