The Realm of Austur Episode 1: A New Light

"Revenge is never the answer." Serlen stated firmly.

"From my father. I already told you my greatest challenge." Serlen replied.

"There you go! Just like that!" Silver praises the young wolf, who finally managed to string her bow correctly, and do it without much difficulty. "Now, unstring it and do it again." The wolf does so, and this time, she strings it effortlessly. Smiling, Silver turns to Shalla, who is already way ahead of the game, and launching a few practice arrows at the wooden targets Silver had set up. She was getting quite good too, but... Something was off. Her concentration seemed out of whack.

Oh... She's probably still worried about Serlen. Well, that's no good... "Hey you two, how about we take a quick break? I don't know about you, but I'm a little hungry."

"Thanks Sil!" said an excited Catie. Then Catie stomach starts to growl. "Looks like I am hungry after all," said Catie as she rubbed her stomach in embarrassment.

Catie noticed Shalla was still upset about what happened. "Don't worry about Serlen," said Catie. "Right now I am sure Baron and him are great friends," said an upbeat Catie.

Then Catie's voice got erily quite as she approached Shalla. "Your upset that your boyfriend did something stupid aren't you," said Catie. "I am furouis at Baron and when he gets back I have a special surprise for him," said Catie with a mischievous smile. "Baron will pay for what he did," said Catie with a unnatural calm. "Besides I might have to borrow that staff of yours later," said Catie.

Then almost on cue she reverted to usual Catie. "If your hungry you are always welcome to follow me and Sil Sil?" as Catie just hopped her way to Sil.



Meanwhile ...

Baron is still waiting there with his hand out wondering if they are ever going to shake hands. "Geez I wish he would hurry up my arms start to cramp," thought Baron.

"Now we go back to the underground city and prepare for whatever Vincent has planned for us," said Baron in a firm voice. "Ready to head back whenever you are prince," Baron called out as he made his way back to Vincent's place.

"I don't know about you and your 'friend' Shalla, but honestly I am more scared of what Catie is going to do to me then Vincent," said Baron as he made our way towards the exit of the village.


Meanwhile in the underground city...

"Whatever you say She Sha?" said Catie skipping towards Silver. "I know I would be mad if my 'friend' did something like that," said Catie teasing Shalla. "Beside I think you guys look cute together and I am sure Sil would agree," said Catie to Silver.

"Oh yeah about borrowing your staff," said Catie with a unusual smile. "Other than to beat the holy hell out of him with that, the healing affect will eaqually hurt him," said Catie while usually happy. "I don't want to kill him," said Catie. "I just want to teach him my own lesson in being considerate to other people's feelings," said Catie with a crazed laugh.

Then Catie turned to Silver. "Of course if I have your permission I don't want to be inconsiderate like that jerk was," said Catie to Silver.

As the group of ladies made there way to the dining area to get something to eat.

"Ok here goes nothing," said Baron as they countinued back to Vincent's. "Luckily, there's a trail we can follow," thought Baron as they followed the red trail.

"So Serlen this might be the last time we are able to do anything for a while after Vincent or those friends of ours are done with us any regrets?" Baron asked Serlen. As Vincent's place same into view.


In Vincent's place......

"Fine be like that," huffed Catie towards Shalla. "Maybe there's a nice size branch I could use," said Catie a little disappointed.

As the group of ladies were doing there thing.

"Ok here goes nothing," said Baron as they were within Vincent's underground city.

"One question Serlen," said Baron with a serouis tone.

"How do we get these rocks open again?" said Baron while rubbing the back of his head.

While the youth looked on in disbelief.

"Yeah about that Sam said moving rocks is bad for my health supposed to do something really bad to vampires," said Baron. "Bad enough I nearly killed myself today once," said Baron with a smile. "Besides I am sure that magical sword can easily take care of some measly rocks," said Baron giving Serlena vote of confidence.

Serlen just looked at Baron.

"Hey you and Vincent seem to get along great," said Baron. " He spars with you and offers his knowledge for free," said Baron trying to assure Serlen. "While I am just a simple clown in his eyes, and a mere fool who is not worthy to be in the presence of such greatness," said Baron while 'weeping'. "Who knows maybe Vincent will be so happy to see his number one pupil?". "He can't wait to welcome you and by association me back with open arms,".

"Don't worry we can go when you are ready," Baron said while leaning against a tree. "I know how worried you are to see Catie.... I mean Vincent but I got your back," while Baron just gave Serlen the thumbs up sign.


Meanwhile on the other side of the wall


"Sil I think I here people outside but I am not too sure," said Catie while she was concentrating on the noise.

Serlen charged at the rock, jumped up and slammed into the rock.
He was carelessly thrown back and slammed into the tree.
"That...is not going to work." Serlen said, rubbing his head.
