Serlen listened to Vincent talk and slowly pointed his blade at the man. It was foolish when this man could probably disappear in an instant and knock the blade away.
" sure, I won't even assume I can beat you, but its worth the effort and mentality when it comes to battle." He agreed.
He stood, awaiting the first move.

Vincent can't help but laugh at the youth's eagerness. Not a mocking laugh, but one of grudging admiration. "I don't even have my sword on me, boy. You want to spar with an unarmed man? Stay your eagerness just a bit, while I fetch my blade."
Vincent disappears back into the palace, returning a moment later with a long, silver katana. "Forged on the isles of Shiryu in the heart of a volcano," he says, smiling proudly. "Let's see if your blade can match up. Now, show me what you got."
Vincent doesn't move, he merely waits, not bothering to even raise his guard.

It was foolish to attack the man head on. Serlen had learned that from experience, yet there was no other choice. There were no landmarks so the youth charged, careful to watch his opponents footwork. Raising Alyrun, he sent a small strike towards Vincent's left.

Grinning, Vincent doesn't even try to dodge. With his unusually long katana, he effortlessly parries the boy's strike, and he does so with such force it sends Serlen stumbling backwards.
"Come now boy," he chides. "If you're hesitant, there isn't even a point to this match. Here's your first lesson: treat all battles as if they were your last. Treat all opponents as if they mean to kill you, sparring match or not. True mastery of the blade is all about control. A true swordmaster can use the same amount of force in a sparring match as in a real fight, and still manage to refrain from injuring his opponent. Don't worry. You can no more harm me than you could harm the Sun. Now, come at me again! But this time, do it with conviction! Come at me like your life, no your whole world, depended on it!"

Catching himself from the stumble, Serlen charges forth with more determination and proceeds to slash left and right, making sure he is aim is not sloppy. He gathers all of his emotions from the final battle in his own continent and strikes upward.

While Baron and Catie were training in a separate part of the courtyard. Baron noticed Silver's dad and Serlen training. Geez it looks like they are having so much fun thought Baron. With that momentary distraction Catie was able to land a hit. "Yay got you big brother" said a happy Catie.
Sam just looked at Baron with a sigh. "At least he's back to his normal self," said Sam.
Baron and Catie continued training while every once in a while he would stop her to give her advice on footwork and swingging.

Again, Vincent easily parries the first two swipes, but he is forced to dodge the last skyward blow, a blow that would have decapitated a normal man. "Good, good!" Vincent praises, sidestepping. Serlen's momentum carries him forward, and Vincent slams the flat of his blade into his back, sending the young man sprawling onto the ground.
"Much better. You have quite a bit of potential. Again."
This time, Vincent adopts an actual fighting stance, and raises his guard. Maybe, just maybe... This young man might be the one I'm seeking. Not yet, but perhaps someday...

Baron and Catie were taking a quick brake from there training session when Baron and Sam, had a chance to talk about this "price".
"When you said test earlier today what did you mean?" Asked a slightly, confused Sam. I was wondering what could a living goud want?" Baron responded. I don't think he would want gold or material wealth, he knows a lot more about the land than I do, and judging by the way him and Serlen are sparring he certainly doesn't need power," replied Baron now deep in thought. When I though a little harder, I figured maybe this price of his is some type of test,". Maybe he wants to know I am worthy for his knowledge by answering a riddle of his own or a test of strength, " replied Baron as he responded to Sam.
"The response you gave actually makes sense," said a shocked Sam. Are you sure that was sheep blood you took and not anything else in that elixer ?" Replied Sam cautiously. All Baron could do was say "Yes," back to his surprised partner.
With that Catie was pointing towards Baron like she was ready to continue. So Baron got up, grabbed his sword and they continued their lesson.

Serlen rolls up from the ground like Lightning and makes a lunge, this time making sure his momentum is not used against him. " strike as though you mean to kill." He thinks to himself. He slashes at Vincent's head with as much ferocity as he can muster.

The match is over in an instant. As Serlen makes one final lunge, swinging wildly at his head, Vincent's katana arcs upwards, swifter than lightning. The clang of metal on metal reverberates throughout the courtyard, as Vincent sends his opponent's blade flying, disarming him. In a single fluid motion, Vincent switches hands and slams the hilt of his sword into the boy's gut. He grunts from the impact, as he is knocked backwards once more, landing on his rear on the ground. Serlen's sword lands several feet away, clanging on the stone floor.
"Impressive," Vincent comments, sheathing his katana. "And I don't give compliments lightly. Someday, you may even outstrip myself. For now however, you need more training. Your first lesson ends here."
Vincent calmly walks up to the clearly irritated youth, stopping beside him. "If you wish it, I will continue to serve as your instructor in the true art of the blade, for the remainder of your stay here. However, the choice is up to you."

Serlen rubs his stomach and grimaced. "I obviously have much to learn, so I'll accept your offer." He climbs to his feet noticing the other guests that came with them. "I'm guessing there's no mess room or anything like that here?" He asked Vincent.

Vincent shrugs. "I don't really need to eat, and Silver goes hunting whenever she's hungry. But I think I still have some old canned goods stored away, for when Silver was younger, but I can't attest to their... Survivability. In fact, it would probably be safer if I just made a quick stop at the village."
As his other guests approached, a sudden thought struck him. "Actually, now might be a good time for our first geography lesson. Baron, Serlen, would you like to accompany me?"

Just when Baron and Catie were getting done with there training they noticed Serlen on the ground and Silver's dad sheathing his katana. "Looks like I know who the victor was," thought Baron to himself. Just then he was offered to come along to the village
"I would like to come along and learn about this area," Baron said. "Who knows maybe we can learn a little bit about each other along the way?" replied Baron "Catie stay here with Sam ok," said Baron. Catie reluctantly, agreed to stay with Sam. Baron asked Catie to get him his stuff just in case the group needed anything.
Sam replied "Thank you sir for the lesson because I know how bad he needs to learn about direction," said Sam while giving Baron a look. Before Sam and Catie took off he looked at Baron and said "Make sure to pay close attention to where you are,".
Finally, Sam addressed Silver's dad "Sir with your permission can me and her explore the area a little bit while your away?" Sam also added "Don't worry we know your rule about brakeing anything so we will not touch anything,".
With that Baron was waiting from the que for when they were ready to leave. When all of a sudden, Baron heard the joke from Serlen and all he could think was "Oh no I hope this boy is going to be ok,".

Vincent arches a single eyebrow at the youth. "I seem to recall these 'old bones' putting you flat on the ground, boy." He turns back towards his other guests, nodding slightly. "You may explore while I'm away, just be wary. The city is very old."
Hence his true reason for his 'rule'... He still remembers Silver nearly dying, when she broke part of one of the taller buildings, and caused a rockslide... Vincent bids his guests to wait, before reentering his palace. He returns a moment later with a leather pouch tied to his belt. Without another word, he heads off towards the balcony exit at a brisk pace, and his guests fall in behind him.
In just a couple minutes, the lost city of stone and metal is at their backs, and the bright morning sun is streaming down from above.

"It is unfortunate we had to meet again so soon under these circumstances, Lady Elia." As his voice echos down the hallway, a stone hand emerges from the rubble smashing her into the nearby wall. "I had hoped to destroy this accursed place long before you ever returned. But fate tends to be whimsical. Could you hear it?" For a few seconds there is only the sound of approaching footsteps before he turns the corner. He smiles at her.
"The lovely sound of their screams as they burned." Alucard then looks off in the distance as his smile is redirected at a different energy source. An energy sphere heavily concentrates in his hand. When he releases it, a harpoon pierces through the walls, all the way to the outside. It hits it's intended target through the chest, and Pearl is dragged with shock through several walls until Alucard hoist her up by her head, applying a crushing pressure to it as Jam's interrupted cheer becomes immense pain. "Now's no time to be getting wet between the legs sweetie. I hate to stick it to you painfully, but you have something I want."
"Release her!" Zappa's ghost charges at Alucard from behind Pearl with increased speed. But it was exactly what he wanted. Alucard flings Pearl to the wall, breaking the remainder of it in the process, and sticks his hand through the force of the attack. "I'll take back my power now." --- As Pearl watched Arcturus fight the general, she noted how her arm was reacting a little slowly. There was a dull pain as she tested it's movement, but nothing serious. It was then that Wha-Wha handed her an axe, but there was something different about her sister. All of her sisters in fact. She saw each with their own individual spirit behind them. Are those.. Almas? Pearl suddenly felt a rush of power as the connection solidified, and her sights were set on the general in front of her. "You can't tell me not to fight dead tin man!" Pearl rushed at the general quickly closing the gap and went for a wide swing with her axe. The general was in no rush to dodge as he attempted to slow Pearl's time, but was quickly surprised to see the spell had no effect on her. Her axe imbedded in his gut, bu she continued her attack without it. Using the axe as a jumping point, she leaped in the air delivering a massive roundhouse kick to his head. Her kick, however, hit with more than just it's regular force. At the point of impact a surge of gravity amplified the damage sending him crashing through the ground well past where Arcturus was standing.
"Look honey! I got my-" Her cheer abruptly ended right there. In that exact moment, the General began pulling Arcturus back with his own gravity field against both their wills. --- Two sets of hand erupted from underneath the type three as they attempted to rise and drag him down. And even more dead followed behind them as more hands burst from underneath. On Jacob's side there was already half a battalion, where as for Garceius, only one fully restored Shiryuian martial arts master with exotic pants, long blonde hair, a rope belt and a daibo was blocking his path. While the other resurrected groaned, the well chiseled zombie merely beckoned him with one hand gesture, absorbing part of a fireball in the process. --- In the sky, Tafl continued his duel with the stone giant construct. Frankenstrat delivered massive blows that continued to knock back the dragon and he in turn slashed the construct while blasting him with giant shots of fire. Tafl's continued attacks kept Frankenstrat suspended as he tried to prevent it from falling back down and crushing his friends. Their battle literally made it rain fire and brimstone upon the field.

"I don't have time for this!" Arcturus shouted through his teeth as he recovered from the sudden surge.
He quickly charged at the general and opened a portal in front of him and another behind the general only to close the portals at the last second and dealing a direct blow, launching him upwards before throwing Lenna at the general from above, sending the general crashing through the ground.
---
"Heh, easy." Graecius said in a deep tone, not even bothering to draw his weapon as he stomped the ground, sending a number of boulders high into the air which he used to gain a position to divekick the Shiryuan who predictably dodged, only to be hit from behind by a number of earthen fists that crushed from beneath.

"What's going on here?" Jacob said as he prepared a spell, but no one saw when he actually cast it.
He climbed up a large tree nearby and started hopping from branch to branch to get around the large number of undead, while an illusion of himself drew it's sword and went to assist Graecius. While he remained hidden using an invisibility spell, Jacob also interfered with the hearing of his enemies, so they couldn't hear him when he jumped down from the trees.
I suppose I should do something to help Graecius...
Since he was standing behind the mob of undead as they marched towards Graecius' location, Jacob scanned the crowd of them until he found a zombie that was stronger than the others. He manipulated what was left if it's mind, and forced it into a rampage. Jacob almost laughed as he watched the mindless creatures turn around to try and defend themselves from one of their own. A few even joined the rebellious one voluntarily.
Now they aren't going to go after Graecius any time soon, and I can work on finding Elia.
Just as silently as before, he started running towards the old castle.
---
Elia struggled, trying to break loose, but Alucard obviously had no intentions of letting her go anytime soon. With her normal magick, she would never have the strength to destroy the stone, she would run out of mana first. So she could only scream and watch in horror as he came closer, and used magick to pull Pearl into the castle from outside.
I have to stop this! I can't let him hurt Pearl. And if I don't stop him now, who else will he hurt? Who will he kill?
Elia stopped screaming, as a tremendous amount of power she had never felt before welled up inside of her. Somehow, that power did belong to her, but it was more power than any mortal should have under normal circumstances. Almost like the power some other humans had before, that triggered the wrath and judgment of the gods originally, making the very existence of such power potentially very dangerous. But at that moment, she didn't care, because it was exactly what she needed.
"I'm going to end this!" she said, with light radiating from around her, and pouring out through cracks in the stone as they rapidly expanded, until it shattered.
Face judgment for the sins you have committed here today, vampire!
She made a lance out of light, and charged at Alucard. He blocked the lance and started to counter, but she generated a sword and shield and rolled behind him just as quickly, swinging at his back before she raised the shield to block one of his attacks.

Alright Sam and Catie take care while we are away said Baron as they left. "I really hope Sam takes good care of her," thought Baron to himself. Me and her seem to share the same trait for spacing out at the worst possible time," though Baron. "I faint because I forget to eat and I get scolded,". "He makes a bad joke and nothing more then a snarky comment man life can be so unfair," thought Baron a little upset.
As they left the underground city Baron thought this would be a good time to get to know Serlen.
"I remember back in the woods Catie told me you were royality of some type," said Baron. If you don't mind I like to hear what brings a person of royalty to a new area?" Asked Baron rather curiously
As the jounery continued to the village.
