"Not the first time I heard something like that." Serlen thought to himself. No matter where he went he always seemed to encounter people with undying Loyalty.

"When you get us lost you sure know how to do it with style?" said Sam while looking at his new surrounding in awe. "Miss Silver don't worry about our group respecting your master Baron might be clusmy, forgetful, and down right reckless but he is always respectful to anyone he meets and he is always mindful of his manners."
Catie while looking at her surroundings was looking around while saying "everything is so pretty and sparkly" "I would never do anything to upset your master he is really important to you and I know I wouldn't want anyone to disrespect my master" replied Catie with a sincere smile.
"As my familiar Sam pointed out despite "some of my characteristics" I am somebody who is always respectful to anyone I meet regardless if they are ghost, wraiths, vampires, human, etc. So don't worry about us showing him respect. We will make sure to give him the proper respect as long as he gives us our proper respect in return. That's all I ask for in return."
"That's all I can say for my group can't speak for Serlen and Shila" said Baron while waiting for the other groups response

"Don't worry about us. I've done a lot of diplomatic meetings in the past." Serlen assured. He turned his attention to the looming castle in the distance. "Whoever this guy is, he radiates power and lots of it." He grimaced.
"Right, I swear I won't do anything to provoke this guy." Shalla swore.

Silver nods, still a bit nervous. Well, here we go... No use putting it off any longer... Knowing father, he probably already knows we're here anyway...
Silver takes a deep breath, and shoves open the massive gates. The gates creak open with some effort, revealing the great hall beyond. Unlike the majority of the city, the great hall is still in near perfect condition, it's splendor reminiscent of so long ago. A long dining table, built of newly varnished wood lines the center of the hall, and old, magnificent paintings adorn the walls. A golden chandelier hangs from the high vaulted ceiling, bathing the hall in a soft, dim light. At the far end of the hall is a majestic golden throne, with two spiral staircases on either side, leading to the second floor. And upon this throne he rests. While Silver has grown accustomed to her father's appearance over the years, she can still appreciate just how imposing the sight of him is.
Silver cautiously leads the group forward, stopping the group a few feet before the throne. Silver then approaches the throne alone, dropping to one knee. "Father, I've returned," Silver says softly. "I'm sorry... So much has happened. I didn't know what else to do... Please, forgive me..."
Vincent's eyes slowly open, and for a moment, he says nothing. He looks down at his daughter, then at his unexpected guests, and instantly, the entire situation is clear to him. Reading the auras present is simple, as his 'guests' likely don't even know what an aura is, let alone how to conceal their own. "Rise Silver," he replies finally, his voice kind. "You know how I dislike you doing that. And I'm not upset. I understand."
Silver slowly rises to her feet, before moving to stand by her master's side. Vincent then turns his attention to his guests. "So, what brings a Half-Vampire, familiar, Werewolf, a cleric, and a young warrior to my humble abode? Surely you have a good reason for disturbing my rest. Silver would not have allowed you to enter otherwise."

Serlen stepped forth, determination on his face. "We were hired," he takes a moment to gesture at Shalla," to take care of a few bandits in the mountain. Of course, we Ran into your erm, daughter, Silver here."

"Is that so?" Vincent replies, chuckling. Of course, he already knows their reasons for being here, but it never hurts to keep one's hand hidden. Revealing his own cards too soon could prove... Problematic. "That's quite commendable. If a bit... How shall I say, dull. You truly have no better reason to come here, save repaying some nonexistent debt? And, if I know my daughter, she wouldn't have lead you here for such a petty reason. So, this tells me only one thing. You forced my daughter to lead you here, correct? Not by physical means, no you aren't nearly powerful enough to accomplish that feat. But still, the result is the same."
"They didn't... Force me," Silver replies hesitantly. "I.. It's complicated."
Vincent smiles slightly. "Complicated, indeed." He turns his attention to the other three. "And what of you, Vampire? Why have you come here?"

When Vincent mentioned that word Vampire Sam and Catie were in shock while all Baron could do was just sigh. Sam and Catie were going to try and blow it off but Batron stopped them and said "It's no use trying to lie or play dumb Vincent would just sense the lies you were trying to say but thanks for the thought" said Baron as he removed his hat revealing his messy brown hair his bright blue eyes."What you said Mr Vincent is true I am a half vampire." Said Baron with a look of firm resolve.
Then Baron turned towards the group "I was going to tell everyone eventually but this is a very sensitive subject. I have been traveling the land for a while now trying to discover not just the world but maybe one day find out who I am. During my travels people are nice to me and my friends until they find out I am a half vampire then they treat me and my friends like monsters. I didn't say anything b/c I didn't want to be judged for something I can't control? I nevered asked to be born as a half vampire and to make it worse I don't know why. All I ever wanted was to be judge for my actions and not for being a vampire." Said Baron with a serouis expression That's why when Silver "ran" into me in the woods I had to help protect these group of people from those bandits. When I saw the look of concern she had for you her master I had to make sure she would be fine when she finally came back home and everything was OK BTW you and her. I couldn't turn a blind eye to someone in need it's reminds me of all those times I was abandoned, rejected, look at like an outcast and no one ever came and helped me b/c I was vampire. The reason I chose to help people in need is too put this curse of my to good use and if someone can benefit then that's all the better."
"I could tell you about my family" while Baron was pointing to Catie and Sam "but I think they would prefer to tell you themselves."
Sam first spoke as he hopped onto Baron's shoulder "I am Samuel Freeman I am a familiar who was a 'gift' from his dad my task is to keep an eye on him" "Honestly we never intended to trespass into your territory but Baron has an ability for getting us lost. While Barron was in the middle of one of his speeches we ran into miss Silver and was hoping you, her, or Serlen and Shila could help explain where we are and what's going on?" Said Sam with a look of relief "At least Baron didn't get us killed yet." Sam thought to himself
Next came Catelin's turn to introduce herself "Hello Silver's dad" said Catie cautiously. "I follow brother Baron around after he saved me from some bad people. If it wasn't for him saving me from those bandits or when I discovered the trategy that befell my clan I wouldn't know where I would be. Brother honestly cares about anyone in trouble. We don't ask for much but if you can please Mr. Silver's dad help us any way you can.
"As you can see we could use any help you can offer. We are extremely lost and have no idea what's going on" said Baron

The Lord of Darkness raises a single, black eyebrow. "Oh? There is much aid I can provide you child, some of which you may not like so much. I'm afraid you'll have to be more specific. I can point you to the nearest populated city if you like, but other than that..." Vincent shrugs nonchalantly.
"Maybe they could stay here, father?" Silver asks, a bit hesitant. "Just for a little while, maybe a week or so, two at most. They're clearly not from around here, and have obviously no clue where to go or what to do, maybe with the exception of young Shalla here. You know just about everything about this continent. You could instruct them in geography and culture, if nothing more."
And maybe it would help ease your lonliness and pain, Silver thinks sadly. It seems I just can't comfort you anymore, not on my own... The only reason you're having relapses is because you're starting to lose your will again...
Vincent gives her a curious look, before turning again to his guests. "Well? My daughter has vouched for you, so I'm willing to consider it. Is that more to your needs? Or would you prefer I remain constant, and simply point you in the direction of civilization?"

"I'd prefer to stay here for a while. If you allow it, that is. Hopefully I can prove your faith is not unfounded." Serlen bows. He does his best not look in Silvers direction.
Shalla simply nods an says no more as she takes a step back.

"You mean we can stay here for a while" said a very excited Catie she was so happy she ran right up to Silver and gave her a bear hug
"Sorry about that Silver" said Baron in disbelief "when Catie gets happy she kind of gets excited." "Catie I think you should let go of the nice dragon before she gets angry." "Silver is so hugable and I don't want to let go of the big fluffy dragon." "First off I don't think fluffy is the right word to describe a dragon." Noticing the look of annoyance on Silver's face "I think she knows how thankful you are let go before Silver's dad kicks us out." "You can be so mean big brother you wouldn't even let me hug the pretty dragon that just saved us" said Catie with frustration while sticking out her touge.
After that awkward display of affection Baron noticed a sword by Vincent's throne and the sword by Serlen. Looks like both of you are swordsman it would be great if we could all train together since we are about to be roommates for a while. I would love it if you could train me Vincent I am pretty good with a sword but anything you can teach me to make stronger I would greatly appreciate.
Also maybe get a chance to learn about what magic we can weild. Personally I am good with elemental with my expertise being wind and fire magic.
"Serisouly Baron we just meet the guy and you already want to spar with him. Mr Vincent you hospitality is more then appreciated. Also any lesson you could give us about the area and culture would be appreciated. You never know what this one is going to get us into next and I shudder to think what would happen if we ended up meeting the wrong people today."
After Sam was done speaking Baron waved him over maybe he knows the answer to that riddle. "Can't hurt to ask but the only one who knows about that riddle is me, you, and your mom." "Can't hurt to ask" said Baron. Baron asked Vincent when "I was growing up my mom always kept singing this riddle to me apperantly it has something to do with my powers but I have no clue." "The riddle goes like this: When the power of light and darkness become one. A greater power will reveal itself. If you have any idea what it means I would be forever in your debt."
After Baron was done talking he began to feel dizzy when Catie noticed in complete horror. She caught Baron before he could fall to the ground. All Baron could hear was Catie screaming "big brother no" and all we can see was Catie running towards him with a look of horror.

Vincent has to resist the urge to roll his eyes at the overly dramatic scene. I mean, really. What does this poor fool think my home is? The set of a badly acted Cleatian drama?
He's on the verge of saying screw it, and simply booting these fools out. He needs rest, peaceful quiet rest, not... This. Whatever in the Six Circles this is. "Silver, would you please do something about that?" Vincent asks in exasperation, waving his hand dismissively.
Silver nods and rushes to the fallen jester, a soft green light emanating from her hands. Instantly, the jester called Baron snaps to, and with some aid from Silver, he stumbles to his feet, looking clearly embarrassed. As well he should, fainting like that. "Let's get a few things straight," Vincent says seriously, his tone suddenly changed. "Some ground rules, if you will. If you want to stay here for these next couple of weeks, then you might want to consider paying attention. First and foremost, no, I mean absolutely zero dramatics. Of any shape or form. You break this rule, even inadvertently, and I'll throw you out into the snow so quickly you won't even realize what happened. I need peace, and quiet. And I will not have my rest disrupted for any reason, on any occasion. Understood? Good. Now, secondly, you are guests in my home. Treat my home with respect. Absolutely zero horseplay. If you break something of mine, I'll break something of yours. Understand?"
When his guests nod, Vincent relaxes slightly. "Good. In that case, you may stay. But only for two weeks, no longer. And as for your riddle, halfblood... I do have your answer. But nothing is free, especially not my knowledge. So you'll have to earn your answer, and as for the rest of you... Enjoy your stay in Gorgath, realm of the Shiryuan God of Death."
Vincent chuckles at his own joke, before motioning to Silver. "Sil, show them their quarters, will you? The guest bedrooms on the second floor will do just fine."

"Geez even when I am exhausted people think I am playing around sigh can't I catch a brake" Baron thought to himself?
Sam kind of just looked at him and said softly to him next "time maybe you will think twice about pushing yourself in the sun. Don't forget you are half vampire after all" said Sam with a scolding tone. "Your right" said a defeated Barron clearly to embarrassed to argue back
Just then Catie came over with a look so intense that it could kill him. "You stupid jerk she said how dare you do something so stupid like that." Sorry about..." Baron was about to say. "Its not even just the fainting its the pushing yourself way to hard and making me worry like that."
Baron apologized to Vincent and the group for his display and assures Vincent he promises to respect his wishes. With that Baron and companions followed Silver to there quarters. On the way Catie apologized to Silver for hugging her like that.
As they closer to there rooms Sam hopped onto Barons shoulder and said "I think the only way you could have outdone yourself is too acually fall asleep in front of him" said Sam openly mockng Baron. While walking Baron was unusually quiet the entire time there like he knew what Sam said was true. Sam sensing it tried to cheer him up. "Its OK you didn't get us kicked out or worse yet killed. Besides finally somebody who knows about the riddle and he seems like he will help you".
Baron just replied "with a price and judging by Vincents place we are not talking about money" said Baron rather defeatly. "I am tired I am going to sleep when we get there" said Baron rather weakly.
Sam senncing what was going on got close to Baron so no one else could hear. "Son I know what you are doing you made one mistake in front of Vincent now you think its the end of the world." "He didn't kick us out he said we can stay for 2 weeks that should be enough time to learn about this new place we are in and find out the answer to that riddle." Now get a good night sleep and forget about what happened today rember what your mom said its about looking forward not back right son."
Baron looked at Sam and said "Thank you dad for comforting me I know it was just mistake I just have to learn to go with the flow besides I wonder what this price is who knows maybe I will get a chance to spar with him tomorrow". "Then I can explain everything to him. Goodnight dad" Baron said to Sam.
Good night son is what Sam replied back as he made himself comfy next to Baron.

Serlen gulped and looked down at Alyrun. Verdani has said the weapon was unbreakable, but he was sure she had never met a vampire before. "Clearly understood." He said stoically. It would not do well to allow this man into his mind.
He followed after others, giving one last curious look at Vincent who had closed his eyes. "Perhaps I'll talk to him later." He thought.

While Baron was dreaming Baron was in the forest sitting by a campfire when he received a visit from his 'friend' Van.
"Maybe I was wrong about him casting on out like trash but oh was I so amused when you pulled that trick by fainting in front of a god." "I have to admit even I didn't see it coming." Of course if you took your 'medcine' like a good boy after encountering those strangers this could have been avoided." Said Baron's vampire half with an amused look on his face.
"First off you know how I dispise using human blood to heal myself" said Barron's human half. "If I could I would prefer just healing spells despite the pain it causes." "I know you are trying to get me to give into this sorrow I am feeling right now" said an upset Baron. "So I would give you permission to do whatever you please w/o a care for my friends or anybody else."
"Looks like I can't anything can't get past you genius" said Van while openly mocking him.
Suddenly, Baron asked a question to Van that caught him off guard "Why do you hate me so much?" Baron said in a tone that caught his other self off guard.
"As a person I would say hate is a strong word I really dislike you, but I wouldn't say hate." "I do hate your goody too shoes act." "I hate how you let that drangon and that so called god make you look like an absolute fool" said Van in a serious tone. "What did you do when Vincent said that you were a jester?" "You moped like a little kid" Van said with intense frustration. "When are you going to wake up and stick up for yourself when someone actually kills you?" "What about if I took over and badly injure Sam and Catie would that get your attention?" "Are you going to mope whenever somebody hurts your feelings" said Van with a serouis tone. "If that's the case you can forget about everything and go home to that village of yours and die alone" "I don't hate you I dispise how passive you are." "Stick up not like a vampire b/c at this point it would take too long." "Stick up for yourself like a dam man" he shouted with not anger this time but with resolve. "If someone threatens you or your so call family say something don't act like a mute." "Maybe if you can take these baby steps I will go from rellay dislike to just dislike." Before Van disappeared he actually looked at Baron with the tiniest of pride and said "like the baby step you took tonight and stood up to me" before he disappeared into the night.
When Baron was alone in his dream he said "never in a million years would I dare to think he would give me a complement no matter how backhanded it was maybe there's hope for me yet." Then Baron just started laughing to himself. "Yea like me and him could ever get along that's rich I needed a good laugh."
All the while Baron in reality was peacefully asleep in his bed.

Vincent woke early the next morning, much to a sleeping dragon's dismay. He made his way out into the dim great hall, the lights flickering on at his approach. He collapses in his throne, still groggy. Look at you now. The mighty Black Death playing host to a bunch of fools and children.
Vincent groans and presses his thumb to his temple, trying in vain to drown out the voice. Silver pads out into the hall a moment later, still in dragon form. She plops down at his feet with a sigh. "Sorry Sil," Vincent breathes softly. "You know I can't sleep for long. But you aren't beholden to my bad habits. Go back to sleep."
Silver glares at him, before curling up and resting her head on her paws. Vincent sighs. Fine, be that way... Stubborn dragon. It's another hour before his new guests start filtering downstairs.

Serlen yawns, and checks to make sure he has Alyrun by his side. The dark blade glints off the gold walls. He sees that Shalla is still sleeping on the other side of the room. He is among the first to wake and go down the halls of the historical golden palace. He checked his Longcoat for any money and quickly pulled it on.
He wandered down the halls awhile, doing his best not to awake the Lich that sat sleeping on his throne. He easily recognized the dragon laying at Vincent's feet and slipped away for some training. He drew Alyrun, the blade that had helped slay thousands and even a dragon, and began fencing.

As the youth walks out the palace gates into the courtyard beyond, trying his absolute best to keep quiet, Vincent smiles a bit. How quaint. Trying to best a shadow at the art of stealth.
He steps down from his throne, careful not to wake the dragon laying there, and follows the boy. His form glides across the floor, like a wraith in the dim light, or the faintest whisper of wind. The massive stone gates open before him, the behemoths of steel and iron swinging as silently as a passing cloud. He stands in the shadows for some time, watching the boy fencing, studying his technique, before finally making his presence known.
"Not bad," Vincent admits, grinning slightly. "But your form could use a little work. You'll get nowhere swinging at air, boy."

"Time to get up sleepy head" said Catie. "Already" replied a drowsy Sam and Baron. "It's bad enough to be a jester but i don't want him to think you are lazy too" said Catie with a smile.
"Fine we're up" said Baron and Sam. "OK I will be waiting for you outside" she said while heading towards the door. Before she left Baron grabbed her by the arm in a gentle way and apologized "Catie sorry for worrying you" he said. She said, "I know you were trying to save everyone back there but don't do something so reckless again." I know how you can make it up to me by having a training secession" she said before leaving the room.
"Looks like I don't have a choice" Baron replied. Sam looked at Baron with a little concern over last night. "It's OK dad I am feeling much better today." "That's good son you worried me when you went silent like that." "Be your self Baron but tune it down while we are here okay" replied Sam. Barron nodded in agreement afterwards he told Sam about the dream he had. "Wow that's strange he would appear to you like that and stranger still he complemented you," said a surprised Sam.
Before Barron and Sam left the room. Barron took out a vile labeled sheep blood and drank it. "Don't want a repeat of yesterday" Barron told Sam with a slight smile
As they were getting ready to leave the room Sam asked Baron if he had any idea what the price Vincent was referring to. I kind of have an idea I think this price is more of a test I have to past. Sam had one more piece of advice for Baron before they left. "I noticed something about Vincent that would be helpful for you to remember." He is what they call a lich and he is not to be confused with a vampire got it unless you want to make him angry again." said Sam in a serouis tone. "Yeah I got you" Baron said as they left the room
They both left the room where Catie was waiting raiper by her hip with an impatient look on her face. Sam was on Barons shoulder and Baron had his twin blades by his side. When they got downstairs they noticed the throne door was cracked but decided not to check to see if Vincent and Silver were there still asleep. Probably better just better to leave those two alone he thought.
As Barron and the group was strolling the hallways he noticed Serlen and Vincent in the palace courtyard. The courtroom was a good size for all of them to fit. "Hey Catie" Baron called out, "let's go over on the other side of the courtyard so we don't interfere with Serlen and incent." Catie was so happy to finally get a chance to spar with Barron again. Baron drew one of his blades while Catie ready her raiper and Sam slipped off to the side. "Ok Catie let's see how much you improved" as Catie and Barron began their sparring session.

"You're right." Serlen agreed. He would get no where at swinging air. He turns around to face Vincent, curiously. "I thought you were asleep sir." He added.
He contemplated asking the man for training, but dismissed the idea. Silver would probably be angry if he pestered her father for such a trivial thing.

Vincent's grin widens slightly. "Oh, I rarely sleep. Nightmares, you see. Now, I may 'slumber' sometimes to recover energy, but that's a different matter entirely, and not something you need concern yourself with. Now, how about a quick match? I'd like to see just how capable you are with that blade of yours, when faced with a real opponent."
