"Jet, how long is this dinner going to last?" Elia asked nervously as she scooted farther away from Wha-Wha.
I really wish I hadn't came here. This kind of stuff would never happen at the palace.

"Acts of affection are often misinterpreted by those watching from the outside Master." Pearl placed another kiss on his cheek before drinking from a cup filled with a deep blue liquid. Now to humans this would just taste like water, but to Nymphs this was there equivalent of Alcohol. Luckily Pearl could handle this drink. "But then again no one knows why she left..." ---- Elia had scooted so far from Wha-Wha she ran into a drunken Nymph. The brunette fell on her shoulder, barely conscious. There was about thirty empty cups of the blue around her. "When did you *hiccup* become-a-a-a human... Janie? Shirley? Madison? Cream?... Heh, Cream. That's a funny name." Jet had wrestled Wha-Wha into a full Nelson, that she seemed to be enjoying. "Well most likely for another while, but I could show you to your room or give you a tour."
"Can I see her room too?"
"Cram a sock in it, wait! Don't even think about it. Why is it so hard to punish perverts? Don't worry too much about this Elia. While Wha-Wha may not be the only one around here who prefers the- *ahem* 'Woman Tone', she's the only one this outlandish."

"You know, either one of those options sounds good right now. I'd do anything to get away from here," Elia said to Jet.
I really wish I was still at the palace. This place is horrible.

"Well, she might have been afraid, or just wanted to adventure." Arcturus theorized as he materialized a small jug of whiskey he had smuggled out of the royal brewery from his pocket dimension. "I wouldn't liked to be cooped up for so long. I don't know why she never came back though. Anyways..."
Arcturus paused as he took a large gulp of whiskey before turning to Alucard. "I've been wondering. What does alcohol do to a vampire?"

Wha-Wha looked like she was about to say something, but got distracted by the women wheeling in platters of sweets rather than the sweets themselves. Slipping out of Jet's iron grip, she goes to chat one of them up. "So while she's gone want to tell me who's room you chose to share? Rhea's, Cream's, or mine?" === "Hardly anything at all." Alucard says with a smile. "But I like the taste." Pearl jumps up excitedly now that desert had arrived. "Oh master, carry me over there!" She excitedly points at the table being set up.

"Okay." Arcturus smiled at Pearl as he moved his left arm under her legs and his right between her arm and her side before standing up to hold her in a very Pietà-esque pose and carrying her over to the dessert table.
She seems so happy. How could I ever stop this?
He sat down in a chair that had been set up next to the table and placed Pearl on his lap so she could indulge herself.

"As long as I'm away from her," Elia said as she motioned toward Wha-Wha. "I don't want to be a burden, so I'm not very picky."
I really hope she won't stalk me or anything over the next few days...

"No kidding." The Artisan replies cheerfully. "I was just looking to punish some vandalist punks, but it never hurts to have an Elim indebted to you. I know who's getting my vote for senator this year." Kaim smiles lightly, about to formulate a response when a cry attracts his attention. "Master!" Hamon is forced to stand on his own, struggling to keep his one good knee from buckling under his full weight. To a sharp pain, he manages to lean against the nearby shattered stone wall as the slightly less fortunate Kaim is tackled to the ground by his maidservant, Elda. "Elda, what are you doing out here by yourself...?" Kaim asks. "It's really dangerous out here..." "I know, master, but..." The woman fidgets nervously. "You had been gone for so long, I became frightened..." "I... Wouldn't'a made it here if she didn't... Tell me about what was happening..." Hamon tells him in a ragged tone, clutching a rib that suddenly hurt, before quickly withdrawing his hand as he realized it was probably broken. Kaim looks at Elda for reassurance, and she nods. "Hamon saved me after the copy disk was broken. One of the assassins targeted me." "I see..." Kaim says gently, stroking Elda's hair. "You have my gratitude, Hamon." "A type-1 would be better right now..." Hamon practically wheezes. "Seriously... I think I have internal bleeding..." Azur chuckles, snapping his fingers. "Don't worry, I'll have Galatea bring you to the newer temple." He tells Hamon, as the womanly statue behind him goes to pick him up. Hamon winces in pain when lifted by the stone carved woman, eliciting a grin from its controller. "Please be more gentle, Galatea." He says, giving the statue a loving brush across its chin. "And don't worry, El'Kaim. I won't tell anyone about you and your servant." "Then that puts me doubly in your debt." Kaim replies with a smile. "Get well soon, Hamon. I'll see you and Belinus off tomorrow morning!" "Yeah, yeah..." Hamon grumbles, helplessly carried off in the cold embrace of Galatea, the statue. One Week LaterThe morning sun shines brightly on Hamon as he wakes up in the hay stacked carriage. Pushing aside the empty liquor bottles which had brought him into the state of rest in the first place to lift the tent flap ever so slightly and eject the contents of his digestive system onto the ground below. "Sounds like somebody's hungover." Belinus teases, letting himself into the car, ducking at a near ninety degree angle to avoid bumping his head on the ceiling.
"Yeah... Well, this road ain't helping!" Hamon retorts belligerently, immediately heaving again as they pass a nasty bump. "How are you so damn peachy anyway? Where do you keep it all?"
Belinus just shrugs in response, grinning coyly. "You aren't doing bad for your first night on the mountain range." He says.
"Ugh... There's more?" Hamon asks between heaves.
"How's your Cleatian?" Belinus asks, ignoring Hamon's complaint. "You'll need to speak it if you want to get by from here on out."
"I know a little bit from my time in the Institute..." Hamon admits. "But it needs work. How about I get the crash course?"

"Well then my room it is. Technically Rhea's is farthest, but tonight she might be between a vampire and a dragon. So follow me and I'll lead the way, but first, an abridged tour." Jet leads Elia to a massive kitchen powered by Van Halen's fire magic. "This is our cooking area, mostly powered by magic. Nothing interesting here, so let's move on." She then leads her to an open yard filled with various courts and fields, "This is both a training and game area, play any sports?" --- Pearl begins cutting into a pumpkin pie and enjoys every succulent bite. Meanwhile Wha-Wha gets in Arcturus' face as she gives him an overlook, "So you're the boy... How in the world has Pearl fallen for someone like you?"

"Not really, although I played some when I was younger. I had to grow up really quickly after discovering my magick, so I never had the chance to play any sports or games seriously. I did practice archery at one point, but I'm pretty rusty now."
Elia then realized how boring she was, aside from being a Type-1 and now part of the royal family.
Maybe I should think about taking up a new hobby...

The Next Day
Hamon and Belinus walk down a crowded street, watching the locals go about their daily routines while the coachman went to pick up supplies for the second half of their journey. Belinus took the opportunity to walk Hamon through Cleatian customs and continue his lessons. Hamon absorbed the information intently, although any time he heard about a good mannerism or a cultural tradition, he seemed more committed to defying it than anything.
"You're better than you gave yourself credit for." Belinus tells Hamon in his fluent Cleatian. "And you pick up on your mistakes just hearing me."
"I suppose I had a good teacher." Hamon says casually. "Still, speaking this way... I feel... Not right."
"You feel like you've got a stick up your ass, so to speak." Belinus chuckles. "Your Cleatian is too formal."
"Ummm... Well, yes, if that means what I think it does." Hamon replies. "I would like to speak the way I speak in Alibaic. I would like to speak, how would you say... The language of the streets."
"You want to learn slang." Belinus tells him. "That's, the language of the street."
"Yes, just as you say..." Hamon nods in agreement. "Teach me this 'slang'."
Nine Days Layer
That morning, the jagged and bumpy mountain pass gave way to a smooth cobble stone road, unlike any Hamon had seen before. The endless sea of rocks and dirt finally washed into a verdant field of grass and trees. By mid afternoon, going at a leisurely pace, they arrive in Belinus' hometown. It's a prosperous little city in the shadow of a great mountain, which was the location of the Keltoi Mining resonite stores.
"Here we are!" The coachman announces. "Lugdunum. Former seat of the High King of Bretnia!"
Hamon leaps out of the carriage without even giving the coachman pause. "Finally!" He exclaims in Alibaic, before catching his slip and switching back to Cleatian. "...No more hay! No more horse s***! No more waking up in pools of my own vomit!"
"...And then you remember that we're leaving for Shaldra in two days." Belinus adds dryly. "That should be just long enough for us to get you looking like somebody who belongs in the imperial capitol. They won't accept a street rat where we're going."
"They'll have to damn well learn." Hamon says stubbornly. "You're not dressing me up like some noblemangina with a big-ass collar and-"
"I'm really regretting teaching you curse words." Belinus interrupts. "You're already getting creative with them. Think of it like this; while you're here, you can be a servant, a labourer or a merchant. The only way you'll get into Shaldra with any dignity is as my bodyguard. My bodyguards don't wear rags."
Hamon sighs compliently. "Well, I guess it's better than being your maid." He jokes. "I'll dress like one of your men. Just give me the threads in advance so I can work my magic."
Five Days Later
The journey to Shaldra wasn't long. Going a day South through the mountains and into the open plains, the longest neck of the trip was the fastest traveled. A dark skinned man in a gold trimmed brown cloak steps off of the carriage, flicking a coin in the air and slinging a sword over his shoulder, with leather padding covering the blade's edges. He wore a green tunic, with his old beige trousers, and fine fur boots with plated leather gauntlets.
"Seems like security's tight." Hamon observes.
"Aye, rumour has it the emperor himself is looking for something." Belinus says, as he approaches the castle wall.
Dressed in a loose-fitting robe parted at the front, a studded leather cuirass, a green kilt thin leather boots, not to mention armed to the teeth with a sword, a bow and quiver of arrows, a hatchet and two daggers, Belinus looked nothing short of intimidating. 'A non-magickal person never can exercise too much caution', as he says. Although as tall as he is, dwarfing even Azur, Hamon had trouble imagining Belinus encountering any real trouble.
"By order of the emperor Titus, we must ask that you lay down your arms and submit your caravan to a search." The gatekeeper says as Belinus approaches. "Show us your and your company's papers, and state your business."
"Belinus Andratorix." Belinus states formally. "I'm making a sale of precious resonite to a client who wishes to remain anonymous."
The guard accepts Belinus' papers, carefully examining them and then nodding. "You all check out. Don't get many Jafetites around here." He observes.
"It's a long story." Hamon says casually, watching the other guard's expressions as he searches the caravan. "From the sound of things, this must not be everyday business. What's the deal?"
"That's top secret information, I'm afraid." The guard says sternly. "Only Emperor Titus and his closest advisors and family are privvy to the details."
"So you don't know anything." Hamon states flatly.
"Ah, well... That's not..." The guard stammers.
"C'mon, you can admit it." Hamon says amicably. "...Nobody would expect a lowly guard to know anything anyway..."
"Okay, listen." The guard says. "Just between us four? I hear the emperor recently adopted a daughter. And moreover? She just went missing."
"Oh, that is interesting news." Hamon scratches his chin scruff, handing the guard a few gold coins. "Penny for your thoughts?"
"Well if you ask me, I think the man is losing it..." The guard whispers. "Don't get me wrong, Titus has been a great leader, but I've heard he used to have an... odd relationship, with his first daughter. And now, this new girl is supposed to look just like her. What was her name... Vanessa? Odrica?"

"Don't worry about it." Jet said coolly as she led Elia to the Archery range. The arrows and bows were in place, and for the most part holes in the targets were close to the center. "We can train you to tip top shape in a few days. But there's always just laying down on a couch being fed grapes, or you know a castle and forest to explore. There are some things only to be found in this area, and you get the opportunity to explore it all." She shoots an arrow that ends up exactly 2 centimeters away from the center. "Guess I'm rusty too. Wanna give it a shot?"

"I have no idea." Arcturus admitted as he shrugged his shoulders before getting a good look at Wha-Wha. "But I love her too, so it doesn't matter. Of course, we haven't done anything, illicit, so if you're worried about that then it's alright."

"Why not?"
Elia took a bow and quiver of arrows, and started by aiming at the closest targets first. Her first few shots were bad, but once she got used to that bow her shots ranged from decent to good, depending on how far her target was.

Wha-Wha took a bite of a danish and shared it with Pearl, via kiss. Pearl seems bewildered for a moment, then decides the danish is sweet and gets one herself. Wha-Wha looks at Arcturus again, "Get the picture now boy?" --- "Not too shabby." Jet says getting a bullseye from 50 paces back. "We can work with that. So you up for a match?"

Lesbian nymph incest? Weird.

I need to somehow find the skill I used to have if I want to beat her.

"I can't wait master!" Pearl hugs him before a puzzling thought occurs. Looking confused from hearing their earlier conversation. "Um what were you guys arguing about?" Wha-Wha takes Pearl into a hug, still on Arcturus' lap.
"Nothing sweetie. Just arguing over who loves you more."
"I don't get it. I thought you both loved me."
"We do! It's just he needs to understand something." Wha-Wha gives him a rival look, refusing to let go of Pearl. --- "Some ground rules first. Dead center is 50 points, inner circle 30, and the outer ring 10. Anything else is worth 0 and points double for distant targets. First to 500 wins." Taking a breath, she shoots an arrow. Her arrow sticks in the inner circle of the farthest target. "60 to start, your turn."

"There is quite a thick line between love and lust." Arcturus remarked as he gently tugged on Wha-Wha's arm to get her to let go. "I know what side I'm on, but I'm not so sure about you."
I won't let you get in the way.

There's no wind to interfere here. That's good, but I'm used to dealing with at least a slight breeze.
Elia's shot landed inside the inner ring of one of the closer targets, but it was very close to the outer ring.
""That's 30 for me."
I need to focus. I need to get into a rhythm as well. What did I always think of before? Was it certain music, or one of the old poems? I think it was a poem.
