Oh, also, another thing, there are ways to bypass the barrier. Certain items or artefacts can temporarily alter ones mana flow, vampires can drain mana from mages to use their type of Magick.

And the third thing: This RP is moving fairly slowly due to low member count, so I am starting another RP within the next week to provide some new stimulus to promote thinking. The RP is based off of the inFAMOUS video game series, and it's almost fully planned. Feel free to take part in that so you can work from the beginning instead of jumping in through the middle.

Actually I had only planned that to be Alucard's special ability given the circumstance of his transformation.

Oh, okay.
I never planned on Arcturus using other Magick in the first place, so that works out fine.

Okay so lemme know how this is:
Name: Ingannare(Italian for deceive)
Gender: Male
Age: 18 (however often appears older or younger for his own benefit)
Magick Type: The 4th Circle, Illusion
Appearance: Wears matching purple, with aqua lined, shorts and hooded shirt, which is kept down. His hair is a black mess and it falls over his silver eyes. His sneakers match his outfit coloring, purple shoes with aqua laces.
Notable Details: Ingannare grew up poor, turning to thievery to survive after his parents past away. He eventually was picked up by a traveling magician who taught him to refine his skills, hoping to turn him into a more straight edge man. After being given the staff as a sign of graduation, he soon left to explore the world and find a true place he can call home once again. He will put his hood up if he has to get series, but prefers to be playful. However he fears beign alone and being forgotten above all, despite how he plays it off.
Hometown (Give description of home town): His hometown of Termina was a bustling city, but like most places it ignored it's poor families. It has a lot of buildings and alleyways to get lost in, however it is a major trade city due to it's sheer size.
Weapon (if any): Staff, but only used if combat is unavoidable

Everything looks to be in order. The only other thing I would try to figure out is where Termina is located. For information on the countries in Austur, you can check out the Austur discussion topic on the discussion board. Most of the info you'll need is in the first post. However, it hasn't been updated to include any other small kingdoms and such yet, but it's still a good place to start.

Ah I missed that topic when I looked over the topics in there, my apologies. Hmm from that information given, the most likely candidate is the Alibab Republic

Hmm... I think it's finally time for me to sign up. But... I don't know if I should catch up in the story first. What do you recommend, Golurk?

Not much overarching story has happened, except that Titus Caesarius, the emperor of Cleatia, which is essentially Rome, has found and adopted a daughter that looks just like his old one who ran away. That runaway also turned out to be another character's mother, but that probably isn't relevant right now. Now it's jus waiting for SMEX to get online and post. Should pick up some more in the summer. Take Back the Power is also still open if you prefer that.

I think I'll just catch up while participating. Here is my character submission. Name: Vincent 'Valley' Reynolds Gender: Male Age:400, looks 28 Magick: Death Appearance: Tall with a lean, muscular build, neatly trimmed black hair and cobalt blue eyes. Wears simple brown leather armor, and a tattered black overcoat. Hometown: The Shynru Islands(Sorry if I spelled that wrong) Weapon: Dagger and Sword Notable details: While being a powerful necromancer, he is a surprisingly good person, and detests what he is. He rarely uses his magic unless he has to, and instead prefers to fight with dagger and blade. His inclination to help people has earned him the nickname 'The White Necromancer'. He is severely weak to all Holy magic, and to a lesser extent, Elemental Magic. He is also very sensitive to the sun, and so dislikes traveling in daylight. He can still be killed by decapitation, and a Holy Blade through the heart. He is immune to all disease, and has a high resistance to Death Magic Background: Born to one of the wealthiest families in Shynru, and as heir to one of the Heads, he grew up with everything. But, after the assassination of his father, and the assassination attempt at his own life, he was driven into hiding at the age of twelve, along with his nursemaid. It soon came to light that it was Vincent's uncle who ordered the hit, in a coup to gain control of the House. The two were taken in by a rival house for while, but that didn't last long. The pair stowed away on a ship heading south, and fled into the jungle of the of the southern isles. Not long after, Vincent's caretaker Valeria died from illness. Vincent managed to survive on his own for a while, learning to live off the land, but soon lost the battle to nature. A secluded tribe of nomads saved him, and raised him as a Child of the Wilds. He grew tall and strong, and soon proved an excellent hunter. He even fell in love with the Shaman's daughter. The tribe even gave him the title of 'Valley Hunter'. But this tranquility was not to last. Vincent grew too bold, too foolish, and ventured into the forbidden grounds of the tribe's sacred temple, in an attempt to learn it's secrets, secrets meant only for the Shaman. He found the treasure, a vast wealth of knowledge gathered over the centuries. But this knowledge was forbidden, and not for ordinary human minds. The Shaman was too late to save him. The knowledge burned Vincent, scarred him, and quickly killed him. Despite what he'd done, he was buried as an honored member of the tribe. However, this tranquility too was not to last. A traveling Necromancer, who had been searching for the Secrets of the Ancients for some time, discovered the knowledge the young man had learned. In an effort to gain that knowledge for himself, he resurrected Vincent. But something very peculiar happened. Vincent was not brought back as a revenant, but rather as he was originally, barring a few unseen side effects. The Necromancer explained what he had done, and offered Vincent the chance to learn under him. Vincent refused, and instead went back to his tribe, where he was feared as a demon and banished, even by the woman he once loved. Brokenhearted and without anywhere else to go, he followed the Necromancer, and learned to become one in turn. Over time, it was discovered what the Necromancer did was no ordinary ritual. He used a ritual to resurrect 'demons', not humans, and this coupled with the knowledge Vincent was never meant to learn produced the 'unforseen side effects'. He stopped aging after a while. He became weak to sunlight. And his powers began to far outstrip his master, or that of any human, wizard or not. Still, curiously enough, he retained his code of morals and justice. And while Vincent never remembered the forbidden knowledge he learned, it's effects always lingered. His master died of old age, and the world changed around him, while he perseveres. Now, centuries later, he only seeks one thing: to find a way to die, and someone powerful enough to slay him. Well, what do you think? Everything sound alright? Also, good old Valley could meet the Princess by chance, and join her on her quest.

Looks good, however, the princess of Cleatia is Elia, and GX and I have planned for her to become a fugitive, since she's going to run away. You could have him accompany her after that. Be warned, she is a Type-1.

It would be nice to have Vincent meet Elia. There are a few ways they could meet, so whenever you want to discuss them, just send me a PM.

Be warned, she is a Type-1. Okay, that sounds cool. Protecting the princess could give him a different reason to live, if nothing else. Also, sorry about the long delay. I've been unloading, checking, supervising, and shipping explosives all day long, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. In the 95 degree heat, not including humidity. In full uniform and protective gear. Yeah... Not as bad as Afghanistan was, but close. My neck is as red as a tomato. And did you know military personnel can get UCMJ actions, or severe punishment, for getting sun burned? And it doesn't matter how high of rank you are? Yup. It's called 'destruction of government property'. I've been in the service for a long time, and just found this out now. Anyway, don't mean to gripe. But this is going to be my schedule for the next couple of weeks, so I'll only be able to participate in the evening.

That's alright.
Well, the plan was to have Arcturus, who is my character, chase down Elia himself for quite a long time to keep soldiers from interfering. We were goin to have a one month time skip after certain key events in the near future of the RP.

We were goin to have a one month time skip after certain key events in the near future of the RP. I'm coordinating what to do with GX right now. And it's perfect, almost poetic, that Elia is a Type 1 user. Maybe Vincent heard about the fugitive princess during the time skip, and how she was a wielder of the Holy Arts, and decided she would be the one to kill him. He found her, maybe even attacked, but instead of killing him, she spared him. Interesting, don't you agree?

Yes. The time skip won't come soon if SMEX doesn't post. Cheese also left after a hiatus, but we could work around that or get him to come back. Feel free to do an independent story with your character for now.
