"Are you okay Catie, that thing is harassing you is it?" Alyssa Lockhart aka Shiva stood there ready to strike at Bowser. "Thing where, come show your self to the great Bowser I will so stomp you royally," Bowser said searching high and low for this mysterious thing including looking into some buildings and looking at some general citizens. "Please Ms. that's just the great king of hero's Bowser and he comes from a kingdom of mushrooms," Catie told Shiva. "If you say that he is a great hero, by the way my name is Alyssa but everybody just calls me Shiva," Shiva told Catie. "Nice to meet you Shiva, you already know me and Bowser but this little guy is Bowser Jr his son, that's Bowser Jr grand mom Kammy, and no idea who that creepy looking guy is," Catie said pointing at Kamek. "Sigh you wouldn't be the first person to forget about me, my name is Kamek," Kamek said while Kammy was laughing at him. "At least I am not a grand mom," Kamek retorted to Kammy.
"Hey is that your dog?" Catie asked Shiva. "Yeah but be careful miss he is shy around strangers and where did she go?" Shiva asked no one in particular. "Um Peach where's Mario at?" Bowser asked Shiva. "I am not a fruit and I said my name already," Shiva chided towards Bowser. "Dad its Shiva," Bowser Jr told his dad. "Um why does that chain chomp seem weird and why is it friendly?" Bowser pondered. "Sire this isn't a chain chomped its what people refer to as a dog," Kamek try telling Bowser who was rushing towards Charlie. "Me next, me next I want to see this dog thing, " Bowser said as Charlie just backed up and growled at Bowser. "Will he ever learn?" Kammy asked. "You know that's my dad, plus you should know the answer by now," Bowser Jr said as both Kammy and Kamek nodded in agreement. "Yikes, not my gorgeous tail," Bowser said as he fell backwards. "And your a great hero and king," Shiva said just glaring at Bowser.
"Hey miss Shiva if you don't mind can I talk with Charlie?" Catie asked. "Um sure but I am curious, how can you talk to him?" Shiva asked. "Oh that's right I come from a tribe that can transform into a wolf using this," Catie said showing Shiva and Bowser the beast stone. "Here let me show you," Catie said gripping the stone that was around her neck and begun channeling a little bit of mana towards the stone. When the stone, began to shine brightly, the light engulfed Catie, slowly as the light faded a big, silver, wolf appeared in front of everyone. Alyssa was the first one to jump back a little out of surprise, but was okay, the two magikoopas were shock but managed to calm down, and any people that were watching what was going on fled after seeing them big wolf.
"Wow a shape shifter haven't seen one of those before," Shiva said amused. "What was that?" Bowser Jr asked. "I think I read about something similar in the koopa archives," Kamek said. "Its what they call transforming young Bowser, I remember Mario doing something kinda of like this but not to this extent," Kamek told Bowser Jr. "Wow fascinating right lord?" Kamek was going to say Bowser but when he looked to his side Bowser wasn't there. "Have you seen Bowser?" Kamek asked Kammy. "You mean his coward ness, yeah I see him but sigh just take a look for yourself," Kammy said pointing behind her.
Kamek and Bowser Jr turned towards the place Kammy was pointing to and couldn't believe what they saw. "Save me Peach, I don't want to die, I am way to awesome to be eaten by this wolf," Bowser said while Shiva was just holding him. "Peach, save me from that vile beast," Bowser said while climbing onto Shivas shoulders. "Vile beast where?" Catie asked while searching for the vile beast Bowser was talking about. "Did it talk I think I am going to," Bowser said as he fainted with a mighty thud. "This is a king of heros?" Shiva asked unsure what to say. "Hey that's my dad, and please miss have mercy, me and these two are stuck with him," Bowser Jr pleaded. "Aren't you the cutest, fine I guess we can take him with us," Shiva told Bowser Jr (chicks dig Bowser Jr). "Sigh already he managed to embarrass us," Kammy and Kamek moaned as they hopped upon their brooms. "Hey cutie need a lift?" Catie asked Bowser Jr. "Sure I guess but hold on one second," Bowser Jr. said as he tossed his dad into the clown cart he summoned.
While everyone was getting ready to leave Lana was watching from a behind a nearby building was unsure of what to do. Well that was until a certain German Shepard caught winds of her snickering at Bowser's antics and made his way over. "Shoo go away," Lana told Charlie who just sat there and looked at her. "Go now shoo, get," Lana said as Charlie just started to inch closer. "Please go I can't be spotted, I don't want to, but if I have to," Lana said readying a tiny bit of light in her hand. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," Shiva said while she was leaning next to Lana. "So tell me who are you and why were you about to blast my dog with a bit of magic?" Shiva asked Lana. While Catie, Bowser Jr, Kammy, Kamek and Bowser lying in Bowser Jr's clown car way over to Lana.

"So Lana who are you and what is going on?" Shiva asked. "I can't say who I am and I can't really say what's going on but follow me I can take you to see the queen," Lana replied. "How are you sure the queen will just see us especially, at this time when all...?" Shiva said as a piece of debris whizzed by her head. "Well Shiva we can sit out here and debate about who I am and what's going on or you can follow me your choice," Lana chided towards Shiva. "What do you guys think?" Shiva asked unsure of what to do.
"Well seeing as our great leader decided to pass out because our friend here has an interesting talent, I say why not," Kamek said. "You see who are we stuck with, at this point I am more wiling to follow your pup then this stupid oalf," Kammy replied to Shiva. "Really why must you two talk about my dad like that," Bowser Jr sneered towards those two. "Nevertheless let's see try our luck with Lana at least she's not the one passed out right now. " Thank you, Mario but your princess is another castle, gwa ha ha that never gets old," Bowser mumbled in his sleep. "I guess that's a yes from him," Kammy told Lana. "I don't know Shiva but, sniff sniff," Catie said sniffing the air. "Its very faint and its hard to make it out but I think that's his scent coming from the palace," Catie said. "Besides she seems sincere enough," Catie added. As the rest of the group more or less agreed to follow Lana.
"I guess we all agree, lead the way," Shiva told Lana. "Okay follow me everyone," Lana told the group as she made her way towards the palace "Mom can certainly sort this out I just hope, she is okay," Lana though to her self. "Maybe these are the hero's that will save us," Lana though. "Hopefully these are the hero's because she's already going to be pissed when she finds out what I did," Lana was thinking as the palace was coming into view. Along the way people were either staring from outside the there windows at the strange group. Some of the citizens were just gawking at them like what's going on.
"Guys hold up," Lana said as she was close to the palace. "Maybe we should wait first until things calm down, now wouldn't be a good time to speak with mo.... I meant the queen" Lana told the hero's as they nodded yes. "There may be a place where we can hide but I need to check it out, make sure you stay hidden," Lana told the hero's as she went to check the safehouse and the passageway. "Look at me, I am huge, noiw that I have the power of the stars, I am invincible......," Bowser mumbled while everybody tried there best to shut him up. The hero's remained in hiding waiting for Lana who was looking for a safe place to hide until the commotion was over.

"Where did you come from?"
"Uh....a mommy. Probably."
Joanna was sitting in a chair that was too big for her as some men in uniform asked her some questions. She swung her legs back and forth idly as they muttered in the background.
"Sir, should we really be interrogating a little girl?" "I've had a teddy bear try to eat my face with its button nose, private. She could be anything."
The one in charge spoke up. "What Kingdom do you come from?"
"Aren't kingdoms only in fairy tales?"
He decided that slapping her would be unbecoming so he just raised his voice. "What is your home nation!"
"...I don't have one. It blew up."
"How did you get into the mines!"
Joanna was used to adults yelling at her, but she was getting kind of worried about what kind of trouble she was in. "I bit into a giant poffin. It might have been a brownie."
"...Sir, I don't think she quite understands."
"Are you whispering about me? I can hear you!"
The one in charge picked up the belt he had confiscated from her as she had teleported in (and promptly decided that he would never forcibly remove the belt of a little girl ever again).
"What are these? They're very smooth for summoning crystals."
"They're pokeballs silly! Even I know that."
"What is a pokeball?"
Joanna smiled. She was smarter than the adult. Yay! She jumped down from the chair (and several people watching from out of sight instinctively raised weapons).
"You use them to carry pokemon! Let me show you!"
She reached for the belt but the interrogator yanked it away.
"Those creatures you summon are pokemon?"
"Well what else would they be? Doughnuts?" She realized that he wasn't going to let her take them, so she just called out. "Disco! Shoegaze! Boogie! You can come out now!"
The three pokemon burst from their pokeballs to much gasping and shielding of faces from those around. Joanna noticed that they seemed scared.
"It's ok!" She said in her best authoritative voice (which was still too cute to take seriously), "Two of them are feral but they're friendly. I checked."
Disco looked friendly. Shoegaze didn't. The hidden reinforcements were slightly unnerved by the small turtle creature gazing right at them. The one in charge sighed and tossed back the belt. "Dismiss them. They're not allowed here."
"But Disco doesn't like being cooped up," Joanna replied, Disco nodding in agreement, "can they say out? Please?"
He ignored her and held out a deck of cards. The summoned creatures looked small and harmless enough, and he was wanting to get to the next item of discussion. "Do these contain pokemon too?"
Joanna looked at the cards, each one showing a person she's never seen before.
"Um...I don't think cards can hold pokemon. Where'd you get these?"
"They were in your pocket. They're yours."
"I don't think so. I've never seen them before," Joanna said as she and Disco leaned in closer for a better look, "Hey, why are these ones sparkling?"
*BANG*
And at that moment, a man with a long grey beard, red face, and rippling muscles under his mining company outfit burst through the doors and knocked the deck out of the man's hands.
"SUMMONING! IT'S A SUMMONING! MONSTERS FROM ANOTHER WORLD!"
The man in charge and the private immediately grabbed his arms, trying to restrain him. Joanna jumped back, tripping over her chair (Shoegaze caught her)
"CARL! YOU'RE DRUNK! GET BACK TO BED!"
"HYPERDIMENSONAL NEPTUNE!" The crazy old guy continued to rave, "FROM HELL'S HEART I STAB AT THEE!!!"
Meanwhile, a few of the cards were indeed sparkling, images fading onto their blank white surfaces.
Location: Beneath Goldenrod City
A girl's voice. "Oh...yeah...oh that's beautiful."
A boy's voice. "You feeling that rush? I am totally feeling the rush."
In a bunker deep below Goldenrod City, some new technology was just being put to the test. Nova Executives Harry and Marissa were literally floating in mid air with their newly upgraded mecha-suits. It seemed to have a somewhat euphoric effect when activated. Marissa was basically floating, the mechanical tendrils on her suit flipping around in glee.
"I'd say this was too much power but there's no such thing," she giggled, "Quick give me something to eviscerate!"
The mask of Harry's suit flashed and displayed a thumbs up before his entire suit lit up with a bright pink glow. His Nova drive ignited and moments later its usual gold was replaced with a pink and black colour scheme. Crystals spawned in the air around him, forming into diamond-like shields.
"Do your best Miss Delacour." his synthesized voice crackled out.
"WOOO YEAH!!!" Marissa dove in, tendrils slashing and stabbing in a frenzy. A shockwave shook the walls as each impact between tendril and crystal occurred.
"You're not getting through these," Harry droned, "Adamantium Diamond. They're harder than your toys. Try your other approach."
Marissa flipped around and snared one of the crystal shields, lifting her hands to her head. Psychic power was focused through the suit and its new Nova Drive. But what caught Harry by surprise was that she wasn't aiming for the shield. She was aiming for his face.
*KSHRT* Harry's voice synthesizer glitched as the shields dissipated and his arm involuntarily slapped his face several times, before a visible field of Dark energy sheathed him, cutting off the psychic connection.
"That, was not called for." Harry buzzed coldly.
Marissa placed a hand on her hip. "Pathetic, that wasn't even a real domination. But lets see how well that anti-psychic field holds up."
She focused again, and Harry's suit flared up in a dark aura to protect him until-

Location: Skies above Dollet
A man floated upside down in the sky, a battle raging below him. An Indigo blade and a Violet blade scissored together held another man upside down by the ankle. The first man was Rydan Epecroix. The second man was screaming.
"Tell...tell me what, you, you know about...Guardian Force."
The man was still screaming.
"If, if you're useless...I'll drop you. No. I'll...impale you. Then drop you. Into, into fire. Lots and lots of fire."
The man was still screaming.
"...Ok."
Rydan twitched a finger and a yellow blade was about to slice through the screaming man's chest cavity, but then he was hit with a mouthful of Storm Breath from behind. This wouldn't have stopped him normally, but the electricity of the breath attack caused the yellow blade to spark and swerve out of control. Rydan let the man drop, and turned to see a bat-ish bee-ish beast with big purple wings rush him.
"Ahh...monster, how strong is your heart?"
Rydan reformed his shattered keyblade in hand and swung down in a lethal arc. It never connected.

After a period of traversing, John Doe and company eventually managed to find what appeared to be a road. After debating whether or not to stay on the main road (being easier to be spotted and ambushed versus being easier to find other travelers and ask for directions), they ultimately settled on taking the road, eying the surrounding area and occasionally turning around suddenly. Just in case.
Throughout the trek, John Doe occasionally took out his deck and looked through them again.
They're glowing and they probably violated some scientific law by materializing out of nowhere in my pocket. They're obviously important, but for what?
"Daddy, look!"
John Doe looked up at Manaphy's call as she hovered a ways overhead. He put the deck of cards away and jogged up an incline. He was able to see the ocean to his left and hear the crashing of waves down the cliff.
"Looks like we're at the coast. I suppose that's progress."
"Our luck's paying off", said Zoroark. "I see humanoid movement on the fork on the road ahead."
John Doe squinted over to where Zoroark was pointing.
"Question is: friend or foe?" said Gengar from the shadows.
"I'll go approach them", said Doe. "If they're hostile, just attack at will. They won't know what hit them."
Making an effort to hide his pistol the best he could, John Doe jogged down the road. As he came closer, he saw that it was a group of humans wearing armor, standing in formation, and having either rifles, swords, or spears on their person.
Military?
Doe raised his hand as he approached them.
"Uhh, hail! I require assistance!"
The soldier in front, presumably the leader of the squad, gave a short signal for his men to stop and approached Doe, eying his clothes. "Those clothes don't seem to be the type for traveling 'round these parts. What do you need?"
Okay good, they don't speak a foreign language.
"I'm afraid I'm lost", replied Doe. "You wouldn't happen to have a spare map, would you? If not, just directions to the nearest town will do fine."
"The maps we have contain confidential information not meant for civilian eyes, I'm afraid. What I can tell you is that you keep going that way east, you'll find Cervan's Rest Stop. Keep going, and you should see the capitol city itself."
"Great! Thanks", said Doe.
"Hold up a sec", said the soldier. He cleared his throat before speaking. "Not that I'm allowed to say a lot nor am I supposed to say something to unnerve the populace, but... Keep your guard up. They're doing something in the capitol, and some of us aren't exactly expecting the most optimistic outcome either. Plus, we're having some radio static with palace communications."
"...What, are they trying raise an army of the undead?" quipped John Doe, feigning complete dismissal of the soldier's words.
"Not quite..." The soldier shook his head. "Look, just keep your weapons close and be ready for weird stuff possibly happening. If you're unarmed, we can arrange a rifle 'mysteriously vanishing' from our inventory."
Tempting, but I prefer smaller arms.
"Don't worry, I have my bare hands!" said Doe.
"...Whatever you say."
John Doe bowed and allowed the soldiers to continue their patrol toward the direction he just came from. Doe traveled down the road to the capitol. Ditto was the next to speak once the soldiers were out of listening range.
"Do you suspect that cryptic warning may have something to do with our sudden appearance here?"
"No doubt about it."

Irving shrugged. "What they said. No idea why I'm here, myself. That said, you better give a damn good reason why you made me lose my--"
Irving stopped when he heard a soldier further back exclaim "your majesty!" as a more elegantly dressed woman ran into the room.
"Milady!" said the soldier beside the unconscious woman. "Cia's still breathing, but just barely!"
"Take her to the emergency room!"
"Yes, ma'am!"
As he and another soldier picked up the woman apparently named Cia and rushed away, the lady turned to the outsiders. "Are...?"
"They appear to be the ones Cia managed to summon, ma'am."
"I see..." After panning her eyes through the cast, she stepped forward. "Greetings, outsiders. My sincerest apologies for our manners in welcoming you. I regret to say that an unexpected event had transpired during your coming here and I'm afraid I have a few matters I must attend to as queen of this realm. My soldiers shall escort you to the guest room. Please wait there until I may properly speak to you at length and explain what is happening. Again, my sincerest apologies for the inconvenience."
A humble queen? Guess not all politicians are corrupt.
The queen stepped back and nodded at a soldier, who gave a "follow me" gesture. Everyone else walked back out the way they came, save for some mage-looking folk who stayed to inspect some areas in the room and a lone soldier who approached Irving.
"Uhhh, excuse me", said the soldier, "but I just happened to notice that you're wounded."
"I am?"
"Uhh... Yeah", said the soldier, pointing to a large amount of blood flowing from Irving side. Irving rasied an eyebrow at the sight. "Here, take this and pour it over the cut. It's seal the wound completely in seconds. Stings like heck, though."
The soldier took out a vial of medicine and handed it to Irving. "Thanks."
Irving popped the lid and applied the medicine before following the soldier escorting them.
---
Along the way, Irving noticed three things: one being that the palace was grand, another being that something brutal just attacked it. Along the way there were several sure signs of a struggle, some collapsed walls, and medics tending to wounded soldiers who seemingly couldn't be moved. The third thing he noticed was a number of soldiers carrying what seemed to be ryfels of their own, albeit designed differently.
Haled's gonna be pissed.
"We're here."
The soldier opened the door to the large room making up the guest room. There were a number of chairs and a large, rectangular table in the center with what appeared to be tea able to be served and what appears to be fruit on a bowl. Assorted pieces of art were hung from the walls.
"Queen Glinda will be here shortly. Please, make yourselves comfortable."
The "outsiders" entered the room as the soldier stayed behind and closed the door.
Nothing to it, then.
Eying a chair in the corner, Irving removed his ryfel from his bag and set it beside the chair. He sat down, rested his head on his head, and closed his eyes, dozing off.
I'm worried about Lana, but I believe it is best to wait until I have explained myself to the outsiders. Though I have no doubt in my actions being our best chance for our people's future, I shall still exercise caution until I am certain these outsiders will aid us.
Glinda approached Cia's bedside. A few clerics and a mage stood nearby.
"Her body is stable", explained the doctor. "It's her mind that worries me. Our reports show that she has gone comatose; the time it will take for her to wake up is unknown. It could take a few days... A year... Or she may possibly never wake up again. It is difficult to say with certainty."
Cia... Forgive me.
Glinda spoke to the mage. "Perform a mind read. See if communication with her is still possible."
The mage nodded. He raised his head over Cia's forehead and closed his eyes. A pink energy formed in the space between his hand and Cia's head. The mage began repeating a telepathic message in Cia's mind.
"Hello? Cia. I am a Yuleian mage. I am performing a mind read. Her majesty is also here. Please respond."

Cia's breathing accelerated briefly, before returning to normal. "A... Mind read? Yes... That would be the standard protocol for such a situation as this... Forgive me, my Queen. I couldn't complete the ritual... It took all I had to summon Ouroboros. If I hadn't shielded my mind from the strain, we wouldn't be able to communicate at all. But... As is, I can only keep this up for so long... The battle... Is it over? Was Ouroboros successful?"
--------- The Silver Forest, North of Yuelia...
"Whoa, this is so cool! It's like a completely different world!" Leo exclaims in awe, practically trembling with excitement.
Vincent sighs. "That's because it is," he replies calmly. Although, in truth, he was anything but calm. His thoughts and emotions were whirling, and it took everything he had not to break down. His wife was probably back home, in a completely different world, and there was no way to contact her. But what's worse... It was obviously a powerful ritual that summoned him, and he was likely the target of said ritual. But his children... His own children were caught in the crossfire...
Leo's eyes widen even further, and he beams. "Ah man, that is so awesome! Check this out! I even have my skateboard!"
Just to drive the point home, he picks up his board and proceeds to balance it on his head. Vincent's daughter, Aris, who was very much like her father, sighed as well. "Leo, this isn't the time. Save your boundless energy for later. Dad, what now?"
Vincent thought only for a moment. That's all he needed. "We head south."
At the very least, his kids will get some hunting experience...

The mage echoed aloud everything Cia was saying through the mind read. Glinda spoke next, the mage repeating word-for-word what Glinda says.
"Yes. Ouroburos destroyed every known trace of the attacking army. You should know that you were able to summon four human warriors and what appear to be two cohorts. They are currently waiting in the rest hall. Are there any matters regarding the ritual I or they must know? What might change as a result of the interrupted ritual? Will their biological structures be different from the method they were brought here?"

Location: Tunnels...somewhere
The crazy man (Carl...?) was passed out on the ground. Some miners had him cuffed and were attempting to heft him out of the room. It was difficult due to Carl's unusual girth.
Joanna was a bit jumpy, but Shoegaze and Disco were on alert. Joanna was more interested in the cards that were apparently hers. One of them was of Falafel. Another she recognized as Celebi. She saw one with a blue-haired man and a Toxicroak that she swore looked familiar, but couldn't remember it exactly. There were other people with pokemon, some people without pokemon, and then one that was just a rainbow without an image. Maybe they were supposed to be used in a game? She didn't know. But she studied them intently, sat cross-legged on the floor in the corner of the room they were in.
The private from earlier walked over and offered her a hand up. Joanna took it.
"Thank you."
"No problem. You seem harmless, are you?"
"I am. They're not," Joanna responded gesturing towards her three pokemon, "But they listen to me. Mostly. They keep me safe."
The private pointed to the chair. Joanna nodded and sat back down, ready to answer more questions.
"You said your home blew up?"
"I was an academy student, but then it got destroyed. Falafel saved lots of people and now I live in Mossdeep with my friends."
The private decided to ask about the part that made sense. "And before this academy?"
"I don't remember. I've lived there since I was born."
"Family?"
"No," Joanna shrugged, "People think that's a big deal but I'm used to it. None of my friends had parents either."
The private nodded and got up and left the room, to speak to the other man who was yelling about Carl something or other.
"Sir, I think she's from another world. A summoning isn't impossible. How she got in the mines though I have no idea."
"...lets take her to the boss then. He'll be able to figure it out. If she's a threat she'd have done something by now."
"I can still hear you out there!"
----
*step step step step step step*
Joanna was being escorted down the hall. She put the pokemon back in their pokeballs since it was against the rules to have them running around. She talked to the nicer guy.
"My name's Joanna. What's yours?"
"Eh...Mike. You can call me Mike."
"Hi Mike. Who's Carl?"
"He used to be a wizard, but he got sick. He's kind of crazy now."
"What made him sick?"
"We don't know. We think its something magical."
"You're talking like this is a fairy tale. You know magic isn't real right? Like Santa and the Easter Buneary."
"Aren't your pokeballs magic? Your pokemon are magical creatures."
"They're not magic! They're...um...science."
"Close enough."
*step step step step step step*
"I think I got sucked up into a book. It happens in stories a lot."
"What makes you say that?"
"Nobody knows anything anymore, and I'm the smartest. I have to be in another world! One with princesses and kingdoms and knights and things like that."
"Well, those things are common here, yes."
*step step step step step step*
"I'm hungry."
"We can get dinner after you meet the boss"
"Who's the boss?"
"You'll meet him soon."
"What's his name?"
"....Boss. I think."
"...this world is weird."

"Four warriors made it...? That's wonderful... I'm so glad... I don't think... They need to worry. Their powers may be a bit weaker than what they're used to... And their bodies... It seems some of them have taken the form of cards... I don't know anything more than that. But... There is one thing I do know... All hope... May not necessarily be lost. I saw them, my Queen... Before the ritual was interrupted, I saw them... A whole army of heroes, unlike anything this world has ever seen... They were scattered to the four winds, as wisps of light. Please, my Queen... You must search for them..."

"Looks like there's nothing we can do now," Starlow told Mario. "Mama Mia," Mario replied disappointed. "Same here might as well turn in Baron," Sam told Baron. "Sigh I guess your right but," Baron said as he began to trail off. "Catie will be fine, Baron besides there's not much we can do right now," Sam told Baron. Mario and Baron began to head towards the guard rather disappointed they couldn't do anything but head to the guest rooms. "Sigh what are I am going to do with this one they always have to find a way to rush headfirst into the situation regardless," Sam and Starlow said in perfect unison. Afterwards they looked at each other like that was weird before going after Mario and Baron. As the hero's were heading towards the guard they noticed that despite the recent battle the palace was rather extravagant. There were signs of fallen debris strewn about, some guards were trying to clean up, others were tending to the wounded, some were shouting orders towards the others to look for either survivors or to go check on the citizens. Finally, the guard led Mario, Baron, Sam, and Starlow into the guest room where there appeared to be somebody else already asleep. Mario noticed a weapon by the table one that he has never seen before on top of one of the chairs "First thing tomorrow after we meet with the queen we will help you find Catie," Starlow told Baron and Sam while Mario nodded in agreement. "Thanks Starlow I look forward to learning more about you and Mario goodnight," Baron said as he placed his equipment . Baron slipped off his armor, placed his and was just wearing a simple undershirt and pants and headed to sleep as Sam curled next to him. "Good night Sam, we got a lot of things to do tomorrow" Baron told Sam as he started drifting off to sleep. "Good night Baron," Sam returned as he curled up to next to Baron
"Sigh I wish everybody else was here, I guess first thing tomorrow we meet with the queen and head out with Baron," Starlow said as she landed on one of the beds. Mario unloaded his hammer that he had with him and removed his hat and placed them right next to the nightstand in by his bed. Mario reached into his pocket and placed the contents on the nightstand right next to him. Then, Mario hopped into bed and fell asleep. Unbeknownst to Starlow and Mario were the cards of all Mario's friends right next to him just sitting there within reach as Mario and Starlow fell asleep.

Scattered? Then there is hope... However, should Ephesus sway them to their side...
"Cia", said Glinda. "Your condition... the doctors say you will become comatose. Maybe taking years for you to wake up again. To see you like this...
Forgive me... I've failed you as my queen."
After Arceus-knows-how-long of walking, John Doe finally arrived at Cervan's Rest Stop. It was less of a town and more of an outpost, with a motel, some shops selling traveling supploes, lots of wooden benches, restrooms, and only a few mobile homes.
As John Doe passed through the town, a red haired, ponytail'd woman wearing a large backpack eating a burger noticed him and made a double take. She stood up.
"Hey! You! In the tux!"
John Doe looked around to see that he was the only one dressed the part. "Me?"
"Yes, you!" She gestured to the seat in front of her. "Sit down for a moment, I wanna talk to you!"
John Doe thought about it briefly before deciding to hear her out. He walked over and sat on the bench.
Why do I feel like I know her from somewhere?
"Before you say anything," said Doe, "I'm broke and already have a girlfriend, so if that derails what you wanted to talk about, I really should be going."
"Oh no, it's nothing like that!" exclaimed the woman. "...Well okay, it's about business, but-- anyway, I'm Anna. I have a question: What form of currency do you use?"
...Well if nothing else, I can at least confirm something.
"...Pokedollars?"
Anna laughed briefly. "I knew it! You're new around here, aren't you?!"
Great. I was hoping I wasn't in another world. Now Yancy's going to be worried out of her mind once she realizes I've vanished.
"...Something like that."
"Aww, drop the tough guy act for a few seconds, will ya?" said Anna. "Anyway, welcome to the land of Oz! It's an... okay place to live, I guess... Until the monsters attack."
John Doe stared blankly at her without saying anything.
"...Anyway, I'm not sure about the details that brought you here, but my sisters and I run a business that can help you in ways you'll really like!"
"What makes you different from any other business?" inquired John Doe.
"Well," replied Anna, "since this world is probably totally different from yours, the first thing you'll probably notice while visiting other shops is that they lack certain... commodities that would be common place in your world."
"Like what?"
"Like this!"
Anna pulled out a familiar container out of Annaspace. John Doe frowned once he realized exactly what this meant.
"She's got you there, Josh", whispered Grinn. "Can't say we'd get very far if we'll eventually end up Struggling to death."
"Free sample?" chimed Anna, holding the Ether out toward Doe.
He reluctantly took the medicine. "How did you get this if they come from my world?"
Anna winked. "Sorry! Trade secret."
"...Fine. I get it. You have stuff pulled from my world and, if I'm not the only one from another world brought here, probably other worlds to. Can you at least tell me what currency you use?"
"I can do better." Anna reached out for his hand and slapped something onto it. "Here you go! 20 gold. It's not a lot...at all...But it can get you started on the road to getting more money for you to spend with us. Consider it an investment."
"Thanks", said John Doe. He stood up. "Anyway, I really must be going. That way is the route to the capitol, right?"
"Yeah, but you're not gonna be able to walk in there", said Anna. "Capitol's under temporary lockdown. Trust me, if they were open to the public, I wouldn't be sitting here daydreaming about how much of a killing I would be making if I weren't turned away from entering."
"Do you know why?" asked Doe.
"I saw smoke and a missing radio tower -- at least from where I was standing -- so they were likely attacked. Since it's probably important that you enter anyway, you're in luck! I got this cloaking--"
"I think I can manage", Doe interrupted.
Anna pouted. "Bummer. Anyway, now you know who to hit up! We have stuff from medicine to replica weapons of people you might recognize to grenades to--"
"Broke", Doe said, reminding Anna of his financial situation.
"Sorry. I'm sure you get the memo.
...Word of advice though: one my sisters had a little... accident... Now she's kind of gone rogue... and the stuff she sells are a bit... Anyway, just be on the lookout for a merchant who really likes the color purple, don't let my investment go to waste, and you'll be fine!" She flashed a wide, sinister smile, stood up slightly, and reached for something in her pocket. "And hey? Get rich enough, and you'll be able to afford--"
John Doe quickly stepped back, turned around, and went back to his trip. "Goodbye, Anna!"
Anna paused as her potential customer didn't even look at the red card in her hand. Her expression deflated slightly. "Phooey... Ah well, he'll be back!"

"Don't blame yourself, my Queen... Please. You need to remain strong for us all... Now more than ever. You... You are a beacon of light to us all... I would gladly give my life and freedom for you... But... I may not have to... My condition is not irreversible. It is caused by an extreme mana deficiency. My body... My mind... It doesn't have enough energy to function normally... But...The World Tree Yggdrassil... Beneath its mighty branches is a mythical spring... A spring of the purest water, that can heal all ills... If I am brought there... I have no doubt I will recover... Now please my Queen... I need rest."
---------
"Hey Pops, what's with the creepy mask?" Leo asks curiously, his voice muffled from a mouthful of food.
Vincent gives his son a stern look, something that he was probably used to by now. His son didn't seem the least bit fazed. "Now, now Leo... What have I told you about speaking with your mouth full? What would your mother say if she saw you?"
Leo's face immediately deflates, and his smile vanishes. "Yeah... But mom isn't here, is she? And we're probably never gonna see her again."
Vincent winces, and silently curses himself. Even after almost seven years, he's still so out of his element. He never knew his own parents, not really, and his own father wasn't exactly the best role model. He was alone for centuries, and all he's really known is battle. What's six years when compared to four centuries of torment? He isn't the best parent, and he's never known what to say in these situations. Not even when his own children need him the most...
I wish you were here... I need you now more than ever. Without you... Who am I supposed to rely on?
Damn... When did he become such a weak old fool? "That isn't true," Vincent says, taking a deep breath. Not knowing what else to do, he places a comforting hand on his son's shoulder. "I'll get us back home, Leon. I promise."
Leo gives a subtle nod, and he seems to relax a little. A bit more comfortable now, but still desperate to change the subject, Vincent turns to his daughter. "Well, what do you think, my girl? Why am I wearing a mask?"
Aris finishes the last of her food, and wipes her mouth on her handkerchief. Now Vincent finally understands why his wife was always so adamant she carry one... In the worst of times, it's always the simplest things that matter the most... Like having a handkerchief that still bore your mother's handwriting. He always found it odd when she wrote little notes on napkins and such... But now... He finally understands.
You always were the wiser one...
"It's because we're in unknown territory, right? We need to be careful about our identities."
Vincent nods and smiles proudly. "Good. Remember, never stop learning my girl. Tonight, we'll rest here and tomorrow we'll come up with aliases for ourselves and head south."
But there is also another reason... Things will likely be dangerous for a time. There will probably be fighting involved... And I'm going to have become that monster again... That demon. I can't bear for you to see me like that... Either of you...
Vincent extinguishes the camp fire, and pulls his children in close. His daughter gladly snuggles into his embrace, though his son grumbles a bit. He lays there silently for a long time, leaning against the tree, listening to his children fall asleep, and looking up at the stars. The constellations were different... But the stars were just as beautiful.
What are you looking at now, my angel? Are you looking up at the stars as well? No... You're home right now, kicking in doors and going through our entire contact list looking for us, aren't you? Don't worry... I'll get our children home safely... No matter what.

"...Very well Cia. I promise that you shall be healed."
The mage severed the mind reading link. Glinda dismissed him and she returned to the hallway. Alvis, one of the realm's mage generals, was waiting outside.
"Was the mind read successful?" he inquired in his usual soft-spoken demeanor.
"Yes", said Glinda. "An initial plan of action has been decided upon. I shall speak with the outsiders personally in the morning after they've been served a fine breakfast. Moreover, I have learned that more outsiders have been summoned, but have been scattered across the land. I want a message sent out to all units to send all outsiders they may have encountered to reach this palace, and to avoid hostilities if possible to avoid."
"I am afraid the recent attack has collapsed our comm arrays, and will take some time to repair", said Alvis. "However, I will send a messenger to alert the troops in Cervan's and radio the message from there."
"Very well", said Glinda. "Additionally, prepare supplies of an official expedition by the outsiders: as far as Yggdrasil, the tree of life."
"Yes, milady."
Alvis bowed. Glinda began to walk towards the throne room.
I wish to see how Lana fares.

It was starting to turn dark outside with the sun setting and the skys starting to darken. The hero's that were discovered by Lana were hiding amongst the bushes right outside of a grand castle. "Where is she?" Shiva asked sort of concerned sort of annoyed "I hope she's okay, " Catie said who transformed back into her human form but because of her transformation her cloths were all ripped up. "Really do you have no shame there's a young Koopa around," Kammy said scolding Kammy. "What's going on?" Bowser Jr asked when Kammy went to cover his eyes. "Really nows not the best time gramps," here take this Catie, Shiva said handing Catie a cloak to cover herself with. "I wish I had friends," Bowser mumbled. As the hero's were beginning to bicker and become restless Lana came into view.
"Thankfully, the guards are busy right now dealing with the cleanup and protecting mom, we should be able to sneak into the safe house unopposed Lana thought. "Luckily nobody knows about this passage and mom thinks I am already at the safe house," Lana though to herself. Lana saw the hero's and motioned for them to follow her. As the hero's and Lana entered the underground area Lana noticed the one guard that she knocked out earlier, then they saw the safe house coming into view. "It may not be as grand as our castle but ehh guess its something," Kamek commented. "Hey we should be happy we were able to follow her despite lord stupidness over here," Kammy commented.
When they got inside Lana showed everyone to some spare rooms they could use. "Catie, Alyssa you ladies can always use my room tonight," Lana told them. "But what about baron and everything else going on?" Catie whined. "Catie it will be fine, we can search for baron tomorrow after we see mo ......the queen tomorrow who knows maybe he's with her right now," Lana told Catie. "Yawn okay tired anyways goodnight," Catie yawned while heading into the room. "Oh Catie I have some extra dresses if you need to get changed," Lana said as Catie and Alyssa enter Lana's room.
" I guess we can leave now," Bowser Jr said while looking away almost like he expected to be kicked out. "Why would I?" Lana asked confused. "Well you see we certainly don't look like hero's and....," Kamek said glancing away. "Don't worry about it, Kamek," Lana said placing Kamek in a hug. "Something tells me I was meant to meet you four today and that you guys could be a big help," Lana told the Koopas. "If you say so," Kamek let out. "Come on get some sleep we can sort everything out tomorrow but what about bowser," Lana asked wondering what to do with Bowser. "Oh don't worry about lord laziness he can sleep for days this one," Kammy sighed. "Good night miss Lana," the magikoopas, Bowser, and Bowser Jr said as they entered a spare room with Bowser snoring away.
"Sigh what a day," Lana sighed. "I can only imagine what mom will say about all this," Lana said as she made her self comfy on the couch. "Good night mom I hope you are safe.... wait how did you get here?" Lana asked looking at Charlie. Charlie made his way over to Lana and placed his head in her lap. "Ah you must sense how I feel don't worry about it, just one of the joys of being a princess," Lana mused as she drifted off to sleep with Charlie right next to her.

Joanna and Mike made their way through the tunnels and eventually found a very large clearing, and by large I mean "there is an oasis of water and palm trees growing inside of it" large. Armed guards stood at attention in front of the main attraction of this room which was erected on a rug-sized lily-pad in the middle of the oasis. It was a small pastel pink pup-tent.
Joanna looked around in wonder.
"Wow! This place is huge!" She pointed at the tent and jumuped. "Ooh, that's pretty! Can I sleep in that?"
Mike replied firmly. "That is the Boss's war tent. You are wanted inside."
"...Um, it doesn't look like it's big enough for two people."
"I assure you it is. Go on. You can walk on the water."
Joanna took a few small steps to the edge of the Oasis. She stuck out a foot, and a lily pad instantly floated to the surface where she was about to step.
"Cool!"
She took a step. The lily pad held firm and dry. Smiling, she scurried over to the tent, past the guards holding machine guns, and ducked into the tent.
What she saw inside looked like a 3 storey beach condo suite. Hardwood floors, leather furniture, marble counter tops, full length windows overlooking a beautiful view. She blinked, turned around, looked at the homey wooden doorway behind her...shrugged and called out.
"Hello? Mr. Boss?"
Footsteps down stairs. A slender girl looking to be in her early teens came into view. Her hair dropped past her shoulders, golden with modest curls and a red ribbon among them. She was wearing a pink tank top with a kitty print under an open fur-trimmed military camo jacket and black khaki pants. There was fatigue in her eyes despite her young looks. Her voice was deeper and more authoritative than one might think possible from looking at her.
"You must be the girl that dropped in on us. Welcome. Take a seat."
"Um...I'm supposed to see the Boss."
"You're looking at him."
Joanna was kind of confused, but she decided to sit anyways. She made her way over to a Sofa, and the Boss followed suit in an arm chair opposite her. The boss spoke first.
"I'll explain myself first. This is my home. It's just smaller on the outside. And I am the Boss of this company. I used to be a Wizard, until I was transformed into...this."
"So...do I call you Sir or Ma'am?"
"Call me Boss if you must."
"Ok Boss."
The Boss leaned forwards, "And what can I call you?"
"Oh! Right, I'm Joanna. I like your shirt!"
"Thanks Joanna, it's my favourite too. Satin."
The girls smiled and shook hands. The Boss then reclined back.
"Alright Joanna. Let's play a game. You ask a question and I'll answer it. Then I'll ask a question and you answer it. No lying. I'll even let you go first. Sound like fun?"
Joanna giggled, "That sounds fair. Ok um...my turn. Hm..."
"What's your real name?"
The Boss smiled. "I've had more than one name and face. This one though...I call her Ozma. Ok, my turn."

Glinda was on her way to see if Lana was okay when she instead found her sitting on a couch in an open room.
I expected to be notified if the safehouse was ever reopened.
Glinda entered and was about to say something when closer inspection showed that Lana was really asleep with a dog on her lap. She smiled and quietly made her way back out of the room, shutting the lights as she did so. She shut the door on the way out. She was going to see if there were other important matters that required her attention when a soldier approached her and saluted.
"Your highness, I have something to report from the town guards..."
With Zoroark's help becoming invisible to the naked eye, John Doe slipped past the roadblock on the road leading to the capitol and approached the front gates of the town. It was shut tight and far to large to climb, with no other obvious point of entry.
"Are ya thinkin' of doin' what I think yer thinkin'?" asked Grinn.
I'm open to ideas.
"I sure don't see any opening mechanisms to possess from here" said Rotom. "Want me to pass through the wall and check there?"
We don't know what this world is capable of, so I'd rather not risk separating even for brief periods.
"I suppose it is time for us to return to our Pokeballs, then", said Ditto.
Yeah. Zoroark, Manaphy, follow suit. Grinn and Rotom, stick with me.
John Doe recalled Ditto, Zoroark, and Manaphy to their Pokeballs. After a moment's hesitation, John Doe pressed against the large wooden gate in front of him and fiddled with the Cosmic Drive. Taking heavy care not to do something that ends up killing him, Doe slowly phased through the gate, though involuntarily levitating slightly with every step he took. As soon as he saw the other side of the gate, he immediately switched the device off. He dropped down to the floor, but before he can check his surroundings or send Zoroark back out to regain invisibility, Rotom cried out.
"Papa! There's--"
Too late. Past the gate were a pair of parallel walls to his left and right, and a ceiling. A wall dropped between him and the rest of the town as he heard a hissing noise from the walls around him. John Doe had a coughing fit from the knockout gas before his legs wobbled and his eyelids dropped.
Should've seen... that coming.
He dropped to the floor.
---
One of the guards poked the unconscious man with their gun.
"Looks like a regular ol' human to me."
"For all we know, he could be one of them shapeshifters who can turn into a dragon or a tiger or something. He had to get through the gate somehow. Search him. See if he has anything particularly out of the ordinary."
"Weapons, sir?"
"In this world, it'd be more suspicious if he didn't have any. I meant magical-looking charms or separated body parts or something."
...
"Well, he's got a gun, though that's a bit light and primitive, all things considered."
"What else?"
"These." The guard help up spherical objects colored red and white. "There's a button here, but I'm honestly scared to fiddle with something if I don't know what it is. Could be a grenade, for all I know."
"Wise words. Put it aside. Anything else?"
"Knives, what look like smoke bombs, another strange device, a bottle of medicine I think, and... glow-in-the-dark trading cards."
"Repeat that last one?"
The guard handed the deck of cards found on the man to his superior. "What else would you call 'em? They got pictures of people and two goat...deer... things on them. Though there are some blank ones that don't glow."
They looked through the deck. "What about those other creatures beneath the people?"
"Other creatures?"
"See, like the one on this guy in the blue suit, is that a monkey? Does that body-builder have extra arms? And this archer-looking girl, that looks like some weird hydra thing. This cute one has... I don't even know what that is."
"Maybe they're some kind of summoning artifact?"
"I don't know... You know what? I'll call the palace and tell them what we've found, see what we should do. I don't think he would try to attack us with clothes like that and so little weaponry anyway."
"What do I do with him, though? We can't just let him lie there."
"Take him to one of our holding cells, but keep those things of his out of reach."

"So what's your full name?"
"Youngster Joanna."
"Your first name is 'Youngster'?"
"No, that's my trainer class. I don't have a last name."
Joanna showed the other girl her trainer card. Ozma gleamed a lot more information from that card than Joanna would have guessed.
"Ok, my turn. Can I call you Boss Ozma?"
"Just Ozma. I'm only a Boss to my soldiers. I don't have any titles like Queen or Prince so don't worry. Can I call you Joey?"
Joanna screwed up her nose.
"Ew, please don't" she said to Ozma's chuckling. Joanna waited expectantly.
"Oh, right, it's my turn again. Um...what world is this?"
"This land is called Oz. There are castles and kings and queens, but also monsters and evil wizards. You said that you read about things like this in storybooks?"
"Mhm!" Joanna said with a nod. Ozma was about to open her mouth, but Joanna stopped her, "You asked a question there, so it's my turn again! Hm...if this is a fantasy world, why does this look like an apartment?"
"Because apartments are much more comfy than castles. It can be a castle on the outside but a nice cozy house on the inside." Joanna thought about it and mentally agreed, the heard "Where do you live Joanna?"
"Um...I used to live in a big floating castle school, but that got destroyed. So now I live in Lilycove City. My pokemon help me find places to sleep and food to eat so I'm all good. Oh, you don't have pokemon here do you?"
"We have monsters that might be similar, but we don't call them pokemon. May I see yours?"
"Sure! Come on out guys!"
She dropped her three pokeballs and Boogie, Shoegaze, and Disco popped out. Disco and Shoegaze took a quick look around, seem kind of confused, then looked at Ozma and began whispering to each other. Ozma smiled when she saw them and Joanna did introduction.
"This one is Disco. She's a Dedenne. She can't see with her eyes so she sees with electricity instead. She's squishy and magnetic and likes dancing a lot." Disco's whiskers twitched. Something was off about the electric fields here (which is a side effect of the dimensional compression inside the tent, not that she would ever know that).
Joanna continued. "That's Shoegaze. Hes a Shuckle, which are normally red, but he's blue so he's extra special. He's very cool, kind of grumpy, but still very nice. He uses swarms to move around and nothing can hurt him. And that's Boogie the Ratatta. I named him recently. He's not a feral pokemon so he listens to everything I say. He's very fast and he can bite through anything."
Joanna sat back on Shoegaze who was still pensive about his surroundings. Ozma watched them with great interest and held her hand out to Disco, who sniffed it and then hopped up to climb on her arm.
"Haha, this one is cute. Disco, right?"
Disco squeaked in affirmation. She liked this person. And Shoegaze didn't have any objections. She didn't look dangerous and people are hurt by Disco more than the other way around. Disco perched herself on top of Ozma's head as the girl held her other hand out to Boogie. The Ratatta didn't respond, and Joanna spoke up again.
"Like I said, he only listens to me. Boogie, go cuddle with Ozma."
The Ratatta jumped up and curled up in Ozma's lap, receiving strokes between his ears from the girl's soft fingers.
"Hm...is it my turn to ask a question?"
"I lost track. But go ahead Joanna, ask away."
"Ah good, do you know what these are?"
Joanna held up the deck of cards. Ozma immediately took them, hiding her sense of expectation with a perfectly pleasant smile.
"Joanna...these are summoning cards. They are very very powerful magic items. And they can be very dangerous too if you use them wrong."
"Oh...what do they do?"
"They bring what's on the card to life in the real world. They're kind of like your pokemon, only they're people. They're your cards and only you can use them. If you like, I'll show you how."
"But didn't you just say they're dangerous?"
"Only if you use them wrong. I think you're grown up enough to use the properly, what do you think?"
"Ah! Yes of course!" Joanna pulled herself up taller. Kinda.
"Good! We'll start lessons tomorrow," Ozma said as she stood up, letting Disco and Boogie back to the ground, "I have some more things to do today but it was very nice to meet you. You'll be safe in my house here, away from all those soldiers. Help yourself to anything, there's cake in the fridge."
"Wait, you're leaving? I get the whole place to myself? And CAKE?"
"Yep! And feel free to make any messes you want. This place is magic, it cleans itself up."
Joanna's eyes seemed to have gotten bigger.
"...awesome."
Ozma walked towards the doorway, leaving small cries of "Disco! Find the stereo!" behind her.

((Because someone's gotta be productive))
The guard finished explaining to the Queen about mysterious intruder who seemingly walked right through the front gate only to get gassed to unconsciousness.
"I see", said Glinda. "Did you search him?"
"Yes, and found some funny looking objects", said the guard. "Like these glowing cards, here."
"May I see them?"
The guard gave the cards to the queen, who looked through them.
"Hmm... These appear to be the type used for summoning", observed Glinda. "However, these cards are blue. They usually shine red. Furthermore, only two don't appear human. I have yet to hear of a human summon. So then perhaps..."
...Yes, it must be so.
"...Have you attempted to remove his mask?" asked Glinda.
"Tried", said the guard. "Got an electric shock for my trouble."
"I see. Very well, you've done a gone job", said Glinda. "We shall take him from here."
The guard bowed. "Yes, your majesty."
---
Glinda observed as the unconscious man was placed in the "special" cells for not-quite prisoners. The bed was well tended, albeit firm, a small, round table was within and holding a tray of food and a cup of water, and an electric forcefield served as a wall to prevent escape.
A bell with a note saying "ring when awake" was placed on the table and most of the man's belongings were placed outside of the cell, but within sight.
"Notify me when he awakens", instructed Glinda to the guard perched outside. "I wish to speak with him as soon as I am able. Notify him that no harm will come to him should he cooperate."

The Boss...Ozma...whatever her his her name is...was, anyways, this person was currently above ground and spraying massive quantities of anti-magic out of a giant fire hose. And yet those words don't accurately depict the scene here. For one, the hose was actually made out of solid fire as that's one of the few substances that can contain anti-magic, which has a consistency and form that is almost, but not quite, entirely unlike the complete opposite of an acid trip, tinted a bright reddish green. The colour is an indication that the acid is one that had indeed enjoyed its vacation in Honolulu. Maybe it would be easier to explain why The Boss is doing this.
"Reality is reasserting itself! The break of dawn is near men! We will not fall!"
The Boss and a grand army of human(oids) stood their ground against the oncoming hordes. (The more practical minded stood it against the artillery, while the more eccentric enjoyed standing their ground up on their heads). Mages chanted forbidden spells and rained literal hellfire and metaphorical brimstone down upon them, but the anti-magic held swooshily (to say "firm" here would be inaccurate). The beating of War Drums echoed through the air...which is actually a rather sadistic punishment for them come to think of it. Knights passed on in a daze, only waking once dusk had dawned on them, and death was a certainty but not a total loss as many had dyed their favorite colour.
But eventually, the chaos faded and one man...girl...man in a girl's body (in the best way possible) stood above the rest, defiant in the face of unspeakable nonsensical terror. Inspiring hir troops to do the same, reality soon returned as silence blanketed the battlefield, and it luckily wasn't made of wool this time. While appreciated greatly, it was broken by The Boss.
"Yggdrasil stands for the people for yet another day! Let it be known that LIFE! WILL! LIVE!"
There was a great deal of cheering and chanting of "LIFE WILL LIVE! LIFE WILL LIVE!" but The Boss knew it would perpetuate itself. More important matters were at hand. Summoning cards, now there's something you don't see every day.

I... What's happening? I can sense things changing, but not what they are...
In Elia's dreams, changes began to take place as soon as she had left Austur and entered a new world. The scenes shifted rapidly, uncontrollably, as her mind processed and tried to adapt to the sense of links being severed. The links were from the forces that had always sustained and shaped Austur. That influence was part of every being born in that world, but now, so far away from the familiar things of home, they could not support or aid her anymore...
After the overwhelming sense of change passed, the world inside of her dream was an empty, lonely, dull hazy grey. A bitter cold was left behind, and she felt herself sinking. The only thing she could do was wait to see what may happen, as she couldn't force herself to wake up. Oh, how she wished that she would soon find herself at home, with no recollection of this peculiar nightmare, though deep inside she doubted that any outside influence would be able to awaken her at that time. Whatever had triggered the dream had trapped her in it, at least for now.
---
I can see something very faint, almost as if it's very faded. Is this when I wake up...?
A scene from the inside of some fort, or castle, grew more and more real. Elia could even feel it becoming solid and tangible. The only time she didn't see it was when, for a brief moment, her eyelids would flutter shut, or were they opening? She was waking up, after all.
This isn't home... Where am I?!
