Celeste stared at the shop keeper girl. The girl stared back. Jirachi poked its head around Celeste and stared at the girl. The girl stared at both of them.
"Am I going to have to fight you?" Celeste said.
"Nope!" The shopkeeper said cheerily before producing some sort of technological wand-like thing. Celeste drew his hand cannons quick as a blink, but his senses were suddenly assaulted by a blinding flashbang on his face. It took him a moment to process that it actually came from his glasses being overridden, and in that moment his coat decided to wrap him up like a straitjacket. Jirachi did his darnedest to help, interfacing psychically with the coat, but by focusing on Celeste he didn't notice the glowing of energy rapidly tracing a circle around him. The loop completed with a flash, and StarBurst ripped through Jirachi's heart, rendering him malleable enough to be snagged in a GS Ball. Celeste of course didn't notice any of this because his ears were still ringing from the flash bang, and with a spritz of something not-very nice he was out like a light.
Location: Ozma's Tent
"I'm booooooored!"
Squeeeeeeeeaaaaak!
Joanna whined a little. Disco squeaked in unison.
"No, I'm more bored!"
Squeak squeak!
"I'm bored times infinity!"
Squeak squeak chitter!
They had been at this for a while. Meanwhile, Shoegaze was trying to find something to eat that had an iota of nutrition. He wondered for a while where Anthea had gotten to with Celeste's card, but he figured there's nothing he could do about it but wait. Well, wait and make sure the kids didn't hurt themselves.
Either way, none of the three noticed Joanna's deck of cards shimmer.
Location: ???
Celeste was placed in what was a relatively nice prison cell. Nice because it wasn't actually a cell but a blank white void. In fact, it wasn't a prison cell at all, just a void. But knew it was a prison. At least this time there was a floor. He was also stripped of his tech and in plain clothes...and Jirachi was no where in sight.
Bruh! You're here!
"Gah!" Celeste jumped back from...the emanation of a familiar form of communication. "Oh God. Really? Again?!"
Your case would be viewed more favourably if you would use Father's name.
Celeste was torn between clutching his head against the voices in it, or just calling them out. He chose the latter.
"I died. Ok? Suicide by deity. Just let me go already! Is that world your idea of limbo? Where I can do anything but I'm not allowed to? Great punishment! Just great! Let me just rot in it!"
"Well technically you didn't die, you were just removed from play."
Celeste turned and saw a girl, identical to the shopkeeper from earlier but with her usual red hair. He really didn't like her.
"I'm not drinking your tea this time." Celeste growled.
"Ok." She replied.
Celeste waited, but that's all she had to say. "...what do you want?" He said at last.
"Well firstly I want you to be comfortable."
If you know what she means! Eh? Eh?
...you will not provoke me. I am better than that.
Celeste spoke in absolute deadpan "Take me home, end the war, let humans continue in peaceful co-existence with Pokemon. And find me a new girlfriend."
"Well I'm sorry but, try something feasible, maybe." She replied with a little smile.
Celeste sighed. "Let's talk somewhere not in this void. It might be easy for you to take in an "empty void" but it's rather disorienting from where I'm standing...existing"
Location: Yuleia Castle
Celeste was sitting on a bench near a castle wall. He was up and alert. To his left, the purple haired shopkeeper was pedaling her goods, and from the looks of it she had an amazing array or technology. It almost made Celeste forget his predicament thinking of what he could do with some of that.
"Like "magic", for instance?" said the red-haired girl sitting just to his right. She was hugging two dragon dolls, pink and blue, naturally.
"Yeah," Celeste sighed, "Like magic...actual magic..." he grumbled.
"It's ok. You'll get more chances later." She replied.
Celeste looked at the shopkeeper, who was previously furious at him...but now didn't even seem to notice him. Nobody did really, even though the castle was bustling.
"Are we invisible?" He asked.
"In a manner of speaking." The girl replied. "Watch." She stood up from the bench and singled out a random bystander walking past. She started to draw some attention, what with being in a bright red dress, and then proceeded to draw the rest of it as she grabbed the guy and flipped him to the ground. Onlookers were taken back and all eyes turned to the scene in the middle of the hall.
"What the hell was tha-!" The bystander started to yell, before the girl in red socked him hard in the jaw. A bigger guy was about to try and grab her to pull her away...
But then she snapped her fingers, and the bustle just stopped. People returned to their routes the way they were before. The bystander on the ground was still nursing his jaw, but the girl lent him a hand.
"Are you ok?" She said sweetly, "You tripped and hit your head."
"Uh...what?" The bystander took her hand and got up slowly, "I don't think I-"
She snapped her fingers again and broke eye contact, heading back to Celeste. The guy walked away, the way he was going before she had assaulted him, with a wonder in his mind why his jaw suddenly felt stiff.
"Memory," she said, tapping her the side of her head, "Strange thing huh? If nobody can remember it happened, then it never did. Their..."stories" are disrupted, or edited, so you could say."
Celeste wasn't amused, "That was cute. But you're omnipotent, why should I care?"
She chuckled, "Well, I'm really only omnipotent because of these two." She said holding up the two stuffed dragons.
At your service Father!
Suck up.
"The rest," she continued, "Is just a bit of..."story" manipulation. Like what you just saw. On a bigger scale, of course, but it's similar."
Celeste was getting impatient. "Point?"
The girl nodded. "In this world, there's someone like me. Not as powerful as I am, of course, but similar. And like me he works...behind the curtain. You've seen the feats this world has accomplished. And this is all while they're in post-apocalyptic war. And knowing how these types of people act, this entire war is really just a piece of his plan to something greater. A weapon here, a spell there. He'll be getting on my level soon. I can feel it."
"You mean you know it because you're omniscient."
"No. No I'm not. Not about this one." She smiled and looked at Celeste, "See why I'm concerned?"
Celeste stretched, reaching for detachment, "Right. So why can't you, in your infinite power, do something about it?"
"This world won't let me," she replied, "It's a weird one alright. Like it's built on a metafictional pretense...eh, sorry, that's god jargon."
"No really?"
Celeste looked at her. She wasn't kidding. "Alright!" He said at last, "So I was stupid enough to take on one god, so you thought I'd do it again?"
"Nah, you're not that dumb," the girl replied, "No, I need you because you've met me. And you are the only one who might be capable of understanding what level we're really playing at here. It's not lives or the world, it's not even reality. It's-"
"Meta-reality?" Celeste suggested, leaning back with his arms behind his head, "So that's my god-given mission then. "Save reality in the name of Arceus". A bit pretentious."
She grinned, "You'll be my paladin in a shining coat of armor."
"Because I have no other choice."
"Because you want to be a hero as much as the next guy. And if you help me...I'll owe you one. Think about it."
Celeste thought about it.
"Where's Jirachi?" He asked.
"She's selling him," Arceus said pointing at Dark Anna, "and don't mind the likeness. It's a long story and roughly coincidental. Uh...you have a bit of money now. Don't worry, she doesn't remember you. But no stealing anymore ok?"
Celeste waved her off. "Where's Anthea?"
"Check your pocket."
Celeste did so. There was a card there, depicting Anthea striking a pose. He looked at the red-haired girl, but she shrugged with that oh too familiar "I'm withholding information until later because it's fun" look on her face. He rolled his eyes and stuck it back in his pocket.
"One last thing," Celeste said, "Why don't you three join me in your pokemon form?"
It has been a good while since I went into the field...
I'm totally there bro! Point me at em!
Arceus seemed to consider it. "Maybe later. At the right time, in the right place...there are rules to these things after all."
"Right." Celeste repeated again "Rules rules rules."
...
He looked around. Arceus was gone. The world was back to normal...pretty much. He was right in front of Dark Anna's stall, and she was looking at him expectantly.
"Are you going to buy something or just stand there?"
Celeste eyed her wares.
"I'll take that," he said pointing at Jirachi in the GS Ball, "As as many GS Balls as this will buy." He handed over a satchel filled with whatever Arceus had given him. Dark Anna looked inside and beamed.
"I'll get right on that for you!" She said, checking her inventory. Celeste picked up Jirachi from its spot on the shelf, thought a moment, then showed it to Dark Anna.
"Hey," he said to the shopkeeper, "Where did you get this anyways?"
"Oh that old thing? I...huh, I don't recall."

Aris beamed happily as she rose from the bed. She twirled around a bit, then looked in the nearby mirror and squealed in delight. She turned back to Glinda and gave a polite curtsy. "Thank you so much, your majesty. I really, really like it."
She then turned to Joshua and smiled sheepishly. "I um... I'd love to meet the rest of your Pokemon. The only magical creature I've ever seen is my big sis. She's a dragon."
"What about that one who was using Illusion Magic before?" Leo asks shyly, finding a sudden interest in his shoes. "You know, that red and black wolf. Could I see him? I've never actually seen a wolf before."
--------
Ethan nodded thoughtfully. "Interesting... It's not unlike a secluded nation of people I came across in my travels, in my own world. You asked me before if all the dragons in my world are as imposing as I. Allow me to give you a real answer. Most dragons in Asgard are what you would call Shapeshifters. ; Those with the appearance of humans who can transform into dragons, with the aid of special stones called Dragonstones. We call them Manaketes. However, unlike some Shapeshifters you may know, Manaketes are not actually humans at all. They are dragons who, to avoid extinction, had to seal away their powers in stones and assume human shapes, to help conserve their energy. There are three main species of dragons in total, separated into tribes; Manaketes, Divine Manaketes, and Earth Dragons. The Manakete Tribe is separated further into several subspecies; Fire Manaketes, Ice Manaketes, Thunder Manaketes, Wind Manaketes, and normal Manaketes. The Divine Dragons are much more powerful than regular Manaketes, and have been worshipped as benevolent deities throughout my world's history. Earth Dragons, on the other hand, are considerably different. They are the only tribe of Dragons who refused to seal away their powers. Instead, they rebelled against the other dragons, starting a war that would last for millions upon millions of years, spanning three of the Six Ages of my world. In the past, Earth Dragons have been worshipped as deities of destruction and despair, and have attempted to destroy the world on numerous occasions."
Ethan takes a deep breath before continuing. "But that all changed during the final battle of the Three Ages War, when my father's adoptive father, the Earth Dragon King, betrayed his tribe, allowing the Divine Dragon, Queen Tiamat, to win. Back to your original question... No, not all dragons in my world are as imposing as I. I am the son of the current Earth Dragon King and a powerful Saintess, and the grandson of one of my universe's primal deities. I have also ascended; what my people call the process of an Earth Dragon gaining tremendous power, and becoming something else. Aside from me, only my immediate family share such power."
-------
Nobunaga waits patiently, his eyes closed, his senses flowing outwards. He senses the approaching army march closer and closer, and carefully studies his enemies. Finally, his eyes snap open, and he rockets to his feet. He holds out a single hand, mumbling some arcane spell under his breath, and the fog suddenly darkens. An unnatural night collides with the fog, merging with it. A thick, black darkness that was designed to hinder their foes with illusions and fears, and virtually erase their ability to communicate effectively. He then sent a single order out to everyone via telepathy: "Now!"
Nobunaga then turned to Alyssa, and spoke quickly. "Lady Alyssa, if you need to charge your magic, please do so now. I will need you to freeze the river at a moment's notice."

Joshua smiled in response to the children's interest in his Pokemon, though he did feel puzzled at the mention of a big sister.
A dragon sister... Different worlds, different cultures, I suppose.
"I'm a fox, by the way", commented Zoroark from outside the room... Not that anyone but Joshua could hear; even if they could read minds, Zoroark's a Dark type.
"It brings me joy to hear you like it", said Glinda. "If I may, however, might I request that the two of you please return to your rooms for a while? A potential threat has arisen, our armies are beginning to mobilize, and non-army personnel are urged to remain indoors until the alarms are halted and the situation has passed."
And... this is my daughter's room, thought Glinda.
"Joshua, if you would like, you may accompany them and show them your Pokemon there."
I almost feel like saying "I told you so", he thought.
Joshua shrugged. "I'm willing if they let me", he said.
Irving grinned and sped-walked toward the bridge.
"F***ing finally!"
Upon getting closer, Irving jumped up and brought himself forcefully crashing down through the middle of the bridge; falling through into the river below and taking a good chunk of the bridge down to the river with him. He then began swimming his way back to shore.

"Well Charlie this has been fun but it might be a while til I see the light of day," Lana whispered to Charlie. Lana then noticed the two children and Joshua along what he refered to as Pokemon leave the room. "Those Pokemon seem interesting maybe I can talk to him about it later hopefully," Lana said stroking the fur of Charlie. Lana then tilted her head back to look at her mom almost like she was asking her now what. ------------------------------------------
"Yay here goes nothing," Catie said as she unleashed a couple of explosive arrows towards the bridge.
"About time we let lose right Van," Baron asked. "Right," Van replied as A blood red sythe formed in Barons hand. "Too bad no one is around to see this, oh well bye bye bridge," Van said as Baron added a bit of his fire magic to the sythe. With one swoop the part of the bridge Baron strikes was slashed instantly and then set ablazed until nothing but ashes were left.
"I wonder how everybody else is doing, especially, Bow bow and Aylssa?" Catie asked as Baron made her way back to her. ---------------------------
Aylssa was standing next to the impatient but otherwise behaving Bowser (complete with the Sonic the Hedgehog arm cross, the tapping of his feet, and the I am waiting look) and Nobunaga when he asked her to charge her magic.
"Freezing a portion of the river well that shouldn't be too much of a problem," Aylssa said as she started to form what looked like a long spear made entirely of ice. "Now just say the word and as soon as this spear lands it will freeze whatever it hits instantly," Aylssa said holding the spear in one hand. "Now I can keep the magic focused on the spear while charging it until I am ready to release it," Aylssa said waiting for Nobunaga's response.

"You might find it entertaining to know that my eldest daughter is also dragon," Elia said as they walked, and she brightened up considerably as she talked about her family. "I don't even know where to begin in order to explain what a divine mess I married into. And yes, the pun was intended."

Ethan gave a light laugh. "Oh, I know that feeling all too well. Just glancing at my family tree gives me a splitting headache. Actually... My own wife said something similar the day we renewed our vows... You remind me a lot of her, when she was younger. I don't know how to explain it... You have a warm, gentle aura, just like my Nagi... I apologize. I must be making you uncomfortable."
He takes a deep breath to steady himself. "I have been away from home for a long time, even before being summoned to this world, and it is taking a toll on me. I miss my wife greatly... But surely you don't want to listen to an old man's sob story. Tell me about this divine mess of yours. If it's anything like my family, at least you don't have to worry about boredom, eh?"
------- Aris and Leo both nod in unison.
"Alright, we'll go back to our room," Aris says, bowing slightly to the Queen. "I'm sorry for causing you trouble, your majesty. Leo, you apologize too."
Leo lowers his head and grumbles a bit, but does so. "Sorry... I was just sick of waiting, and not knowing anything. But that doesn't excuse my behavior. Could we keep this to ourselves? I don't want father to worry..."
Aris bites her lip, but agrees. "... Could we? Our father already has so much on his mind... We don't want to trouble him."
She then turns to Joshua and gives a formal curtsy. "Oh, I almost forgot to formally introduce myself. My name is Arisa Oda, and this is my brother, Leon Oda. He's not usually such a troublemaker, so don't blame him too much. I don't mind you escorting us back, Mr Joshua. And both of us would like to meet your friends, so... It's nice to meet you!"
--------
The order to halt was given just as the fog rolled in, and it spread along the Ephesian forces like wildfire. The entire machine silenced almost instantly. General Mason guided his Chimera mount towards the front of the formation, passing his troops, who all stood at attention like perfect statues. His eyes narrowed. Something is wrong here...
"Hey Mage! Get down here!" He barks up at the Archmage, hovering many feet above the army.
The Archmage appeared beside him almost instantly. "There is no need to shout, General. I can hear you perfectly fine. And yes, I agree. Something is wrong here, though I cannot pinpoint what. This fog is... Unnatural."
Tsk... How annoying... If we retreat now, Esdeath will have my head. And I refuse to grovel to that sickening excuse for a man... There's only one thing for it then. It's not like any of those Yuelian fools could stop us now, anyway. Not with the power the Green Dragon has given us...
"All forces, forward march! We'll drive right through this fog and into the very heart of Yuelia! Split march! Battalions one, two, and three, will cross the northern bridge! Battalions four, five, and Command will cross the southern bridge!"
General Mason returned to the rear of the formation, and his vast army slowly and orderly split into two separate forces, just as the world went dark.
------
Nobunaga inclines his head. "Good. I will need you to hold it until the Ephesians cross the river. Now... We merely have to wait."
He turns and looks out at the wide river before him. "Engage the enemy. Pick them off and drive them towards the river."
The telepathic order swept through the minds of his companions, and then was silent.

"My husband is the son of the Shiryuan goddess of plague, jealousy, hatred, and in general all things abhorrent. My mother-in-law, Eya, she hates me and tried to curse me the first time we met. That's how I got this," she said, pushing back a sleeve to show him the mark on her arm. "The curse was designed to make me immortal and drain away my free will, so she could use me to gain control over her son. They don't have a very good relationship. Long story short, he figured out what was happening and arrived just in time to prevent the curse from fully setting in. My husband ascended into the pantheon after being resurrected, and is their god of death. He has several hundred aunts, the youngest of which is married to the grandson of the Emperor of Cleatia... and is technically my nephew if you consider my kidnapping and subsequent adoption to be legitimate..."
I feel like I'm rambling, yet I haven't even mentioned half of the other things yet!

Glinda laughed mildly. "Do not worry, children", said Glinda. "I will not mutter a word of this."
"It's nice to meet you two as well", said Joshua. He bowed. "Lead the way, then. We'll follow you."
Joshua waited until the two kids went outside the room. He made a brief telepathic order to distract them briefly as he lowered his volume and spoke to Glinda.
"This threat", he said. "What is it, exactly? And the other Outlanders are handling it?"
"...An Ephesian army is on-route to the capital", answered Glinda. "The other Outlanders are currently working to delay them while we -- that is, we Yuleians -- mount a counter-movement. They must be executing their plan by now."
Well that's just fantastic, thought Joshua. I'm perfect for sabotage, infiltration, and stealth, and I missed out on helping because I had to take a s***.
"...Please", said Glinda. "I have faith in the other Outlanders, but should anything arise... Stay with the children... Protect them."
Joshua quietly nodded in understanding as he finally left the room to follow Aris and Leo. Glinda waited a few seconds before finally turning her attention to her daughter.
"Forgive me Lana, I did not mean to disregard you like that." Glinda then beamed a disarming smile towards her. "I see you and Charlie have already had your reunion! I also recall a few other Outlanders mention previously meeting you!" Glinda's expression turned serious almost immediately. "When and where?" was all she asked.
Irving had made it back to shore when Nobunaga ordered the attack. He hadn't checked to see how far away the enemy army was at that point, but if he was going to be able to follow orders, he had to get Step 2 over with as fast as possible.
He held his ryfel downward to expel the water within the barrel. He dug around for a Type-4 slot and equipped it. He repositioned the weapon so that the barrel was pointing right at him (because the idea was to inhale the gas, and shooting it at his foot wouldn't do the trick). He fired and inhaled a little too much of the anti-magick gas, leading him to have a coughing fit.
Ugh. So that's what that's like... Always thought about doing this to stopped from being crazed, but never actually had the chance to try it.
"Give me a minute", he instructed to Baron and Catie as he began to slowly regain the ability to see straight. He already felt his mind clicking into "normal" state, so at least his untested idea worked.

Ephesus- Great Wall
Something crackled and streaked across the sky for a brief second. To many, they would have missed this; for it the only sound it emitted was a low whine. The sky itself was torn apart for a swirling, white vortex to appear. It launched a beam that slammed into the ground with a tornado of dust before receding from whence it came. Something was crouched; vaguely a human form if one payed attention or scrutinized. The strange being muttered something incoherent as it stood. The first thing it noticed was that it was nowhere near Tokyo at all.
The unidentifiable being sweeped the dust off his blue hair and stared up at the indomitable, towering wall before him. This was a sight that had been commonplace to him, so it really wasn't all that surprising. This place, however, looked quite futuristic. That was when he heard footsteps, and heavy ones by the sound of that. He was wondering if he could communicate with whatever it was. Still, his hand reached down to his handgun and he pulled it out. He aimed it in the direction of the wall, seeing countless men running amok. What... The... Hell?
His gauntlet flickered on and he raised it. A hologram of the current area reading error flashed across the screen along with an estimated guess of the population, and any other half-related things related to it. No demons in the area. All Yoshirou could do was wait for whatever it was coming near him. If worse came to worse, he may have to release Setanta.

General Mason's Chimera reared up on its hind legs and growled, spooked by the sudden thunder. That, combined with the tremendous flash of lightning and this unnatural fog, told the General all he needed to know. They were under attack.
They think to cut off our communications with this fog? Pathetic. I'll show you what happens when you underestimate me!
Horns suddenly blared throughout the Ephesian forces, signalling the call for battle, and Mason dismounted his Chimera. He closed his eyes and then lifted his boot high into the air and slammed it down onto the ground, unleashing a peculiar shockwave in all directions, a shockwave that was only visible to him. As the shockwave moved outwards, Mason could sense the presence of all his footsoldiers and the magic of any living creature in contact with the ground. However, once the shockwave reached the river bank, the vision blurred. He could sense there were people on the other side, but not how many, or how strong they were... Whoever was controlling this fog was one hell of a mage. If he didn't know any better, he'd think they were up against the Yuelian Chancellor herself.
Bah... It doesn't matter. They cannot stop us with mere tricks and illusions.
The General's eyes open, and he grins a cruel, menacing grin. He slams his titanic weapon into the ground, and the ground beneath him quakes and trembles, and a giant pillar of rock shoots up, carrying him high into the sky. Just as he suspected, the higher the altitude, the weaker the fog. General Mason took a long breath and bellowed, his unnaturally loud voice echoing across the plains. "THE TIME HAS COME FOR US TO SHOW THESE YUELIAN DOGS THE MIGHT OF THE GREEN DRAGON!!!!! ALL FORCES, ADVANCE!!!!! WE'LL STRIKE THEM FROM BOTH SIDES AND SEND THEM SCREAMING TO THE PITS OF HELL!!!! SHOW NO MERCY!!!! FOR THE EMPEROR!!!! FOR THE EMPIRE!!!! FOR THE GREEN DRAGON!!!!!!"
The Ephesian army thunders in response, the entire plains shaking from the sound of their unified battle cry, and from thousands of stomping boots. The massive army splits into two, charging towards the river like a tidal wave breaking upon a cliff. The Archmage Veloth, Fourth Apprentice to the Grand Chancellor, flew up next to the General.
"The Mage summoning this fog is likely the enemy Commander. His illusions are troubling. Most of our soldiers will be ineffective. But once we kill him, the enemy will shatter like glass."
General Mason nods. "I'll leave the Mage to you, then. Bring me his head."
"It will be my pleasure."
Just as Archmage Veloth predicted, the frontrunners who delved into the thick of the fog first suddenly began swinging their swords wildly, and screaming in terror. Bullets and energy blasts shot in random directions, and ally turned upon ally. It was utter chaos. However, the Ogres and Mages seemed to be less affected by the illusions, and those in the tanks were unaffected at all. The Cavalry took the worst of it, but a few Companies managed to get their mounts back under control and continue charging. And then the battle truly began.
------
His plan worked. Mostly. Nobunaga bit back a curse as someone in Lady Selene's team used lightning to destroy the bridge, effectively giving away their position and plan. His illusions and fog managed to disable the majority of the enemy forces, and slow down the rest, but there was still a seemingly endless amount of them that charged anyway, and made it through. The enemy Commander, this General Mason, stood unmoving at the rear of the enemy formation, but if he could just reach him...
Hundreds and hundreds of Cavalry, monsters and more charged straight through the middle of the river, and since they had lost the element of surprise, there was no hope of catching the bulk of the enemy in the trap. Nobunaga whirled around to Alyssa and barked, "Now! Freeze the river!" ------
Ethan arches his eyebrows. "You were kidnapped, and then adopted by the very people who ordered your kidnapping? Politics in this 'Cleatia' must be... Interesting."
Her story sounded eerily familiar, and he felt his blood boiling, his rage simmering, but he managed to quickly calm himself. She's not Nagi. Yes, their stories are uncannily familiar, but that's merely a coincidence. Whatever happened in Elia's past, while tragic, is not my fault. I cannot afford to forget myself. If I lose control, it could jeopardize everything.
-----
Aris skipped back into their room, followed by her brother and Joshua, and plopped down on the edge of the bed. "Can we meet your friends now?" She asks excitedly, beaming. She was still worried about her father, and could use the distraction.
----- The Ephesian guards noticed the stranger immediately; how could they not? The young man seemed to materialize out of thin air, and he wore clothes unlike anything they had ever seen. The Captain of the Watch was immediately informed, and a thousand Energy Rifles were trained on the intruder in record time.
"Who are you and what is your business in Ephesus?!" The Captain barked from the safety of the top of the wall. "And where in the blazes did you come from?!"

Yoshirou inclined his head towards the Captain with hollowed interest. His eyes were more focused on the weapons that honed on him. "This surpasses Tokyo's weaponry." He noted.
He spoke, but it came out in a garbled, foreign language. Sighing, he raised one finger and quickly tapped a few buttons on his gauntlet. He lowered his gun hand as a screen flashed up, allowing him to translate this "English" these weird people were speaking. They most certainly weren't Americans.
But he couldn't exactly tell them he came from another world could he?
"Er, I come from a place far away from this place. I'm not here looking for a fight either." He said lamely. Great, that was going to work for sure. If it came down to it, he might have to cast Tetrakarn to repel their bullets...

"The emperor went mad with grief years ago. Actually, that's why they bothering bringing me to Cleatia. All because of how I looked and what type of magick I used. They thought it would help him deal with his grief, but they couldn't have been more wrong. He only became more delusional. No one ever seemed to stop and think that the real solution was to remove him from the throne and place a regent there until the heir could rule. Then again, that might just have been because they were scared of Cornelia becoming regent. That really would have been scary, knowing how twisted she was..." Elia said, faking a shudder at the end before laughing.
"You know, it really could have been worse. Within two months I had escaped permanently, and in the process of escaping and hiding I met my husband. I was able to get out before things got too bad."
Though not before Cornelia tried to kill me... Almost worked, too. Type-5s know how to make some very effective poisons...

Lana just looked at Charlie for a few minutes. Lana then whispered to him, "Did you snitch on me?" Lana said to Charlie. "I take it you met Bowser and everyone," Lana said.
"Remember when you told me to go to the safe house during the summoning ritual," Lana said. "Well on the way to the safe house, I feigned an injury and when the escort lowered his guard I knocked him out, and made my way to town to look for help," Lana said hugging Charlie. "I saw the heros appear in the middle of the town and I took them to the safe house with me," Lana said hugging/gripping Charlie.

Catie and Baron heard the order to start picking off the enemy. "Catie ready to show me how much you improved with that bow?" Baron asked Catie. "Ohhhhhh I can't wait to show you," Catie said as she unleashed an arrow right through the skull of a solider. "Wow you gotten really good," Baron said. "You weren't the only one training for these past seven years," Catie said sticking out her tounge.
"Well I guess I can let loose a little," Baron said focusing his wind almost like he was loading an invisible gun. Baron pointed his fingers towards the troops and just said, "Bang," as a violent slide of wind sliced through the troops like butter

Alyssa upon hearing Nobunagas request jumped into the air and unleashed the spear right towards the center towards the river freezing it instantly upon contact. "Don't worry Nobunaga, I still have enough mana to fight back just don't expect any miracles, Aylssa said landing next to Bowser.
Bowser let out an oh man. "First some jerk gets to give away our location when that could have been me," Bowser moaned. "Here I was listening to lord minion face and what happens our cover gets blown anyways, life isn't fair," Bowser pouted. "Now athletic Peach gets to show off and I have to wait still," Bowser grunted. "The minions are soooo going to pay for this when everything is over," Bowser said while glaring daggers towards the south bridge.

"What in the world were you thinking?!" snapped Glinda. "The whole capitol was under siege by the witch and her forces, and your first instinct was to attack your escort and run off to the middle of town?! Are you aware of how much danger you put yourself in?! Despite our defenses, the palace and town suffered extensive damages that would have been severely worse if it were not for Cia's magic! Furthermore, while the Outlanders you encountered appear to have noble intentions, what if you encountered malicious Outlanders willing to create havoc for personal gain? You could have been held hostage, or worse!"
Irving shook his head after making sure he could see straight again. He smiled slightly as the enemy soldiers began invoking friendly fire amongst themselves in panic even before they even began to gain offensive momentum. However, his expression of confidence immediately turned to one of fear as his attention focused on one nameless horseman in particular; more specifically, the weapon they held. It was a seemingly a bit smaller and had a different design, but it looked somewhat similar to Irving's own ryfel. The worse part was when Baron unleashed a slice of wind that cut through the soldier's neighbors like they were made of paper, to which he panicked and started shooting wildly around him. While his aim was way off course from where the three Outlanders were, posing more of a threat to his own side even, Irving damn near peed himself.
That thing is shooting faster than I could ever dream of doing, and he's just holding down the trigger! If my ryfel did that, the ammo in the magazine would be gone by the time I finished blinking!
Cursing to himself, Irving switched to a Type-7 slot, took aim, charged, and fired, shooting a blast that hit the soldier in the chest and knocked him off his mount.
"Catie! Baron!" he ordered at them. "You see any soldiers holding anything that looks like my ryfel, kill them first; they're the most dangerous!"
Irving turned back toward the advancing army and continued pelting them from afar; prioritizing those with guns and those that were advancing quicker onto their position.
"Why certainly", said Joshua. He decided to honor Leo's request and introduce Zoroark first. Said Pokemon lined up next to him. "This is Zoroark, the Illusion Fox Pokemon. You've seen it before, but this guy's the one responsible for the illusion tricks done earlier. He can trick most people by making them see false visions, hear false noises, smell false smells, etc. He usually uses his abilities to hide things and making them essentially invisible, though he can't really hide anything that's not vision-related as well. His other special abilities include performing black shockwaves, Taunting foes so they are literally incapable of doing anything besides attack, increase his agility, and breathe fire. Since this is a nice-looking room with a lot of flammable-looking material, however, I think it's better if we demonstrate none of these. You could say that he's a mostly darkness-element Pokemon, but for all I know, your world's 'dark' magic isn't the same as mine, since stuff like Biting is no less dark than dragging someone to a world of total darkness in my world. That sort of thing is natural and commonly accepted back in my world, but it might sound weird to you.
Also, since he's a Dark type, he's immune to psychic interference, telekinesis, and all of that stuff. There's a scientific reason behind that, I just don't remember it."

(Okay Emppy here goes nothing...... now w/ chlortles)
Lana went silent for a few moment she knew her mom was right, but she didn't know how to put into words how she felt. Charlie looked at Lana sensing her nerves and rested his head, on her lap while licking her hand. Lana than closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths, she needed her head to stop buzzing around like an angry hornets nest. When Lana felt ready to speak she opened her eyes and looked at her mom in the eyes and began to speak.
"Your right mom it was reckless of me to go to the middle of town in the middle of the attack, and I know it may not seem like much but I am sorry," Lana said very sincere. " I know I took a big risk and it could have been a dire situation, but can I ask you something mom?" Lana said looking at Glinda with a look of resolve.
"What about you and Cia performing the ritual in the first place that was extremely dangerous for the two people who mean the world too me," Lana said. "Mom you know I love you and Cia so much, that's why I couldn't sit by ideally and watch you two risked your lives," Lana said. "How do you think I would have been if the hero's you summoned attacked you and captured the kingdom," Lana said. "I know as the qqueen the duties and responsibilities you have to the kingdom," Lana said fighting tears. "You know you don't have to do it alone, I am here for you and I want to help you," Lana said very upset.
"I seen the stressed look on your face since dad died," Lana said. "The look like you have a weight on your shoulders that could crush you at anytime," Lana said as tears started to escape. "Please don't push me away let me help you and Cia," Lana said as tears were forming.
"By the way where is Cia at?" Lana asked. "I assume she might be sleeping but, I can't wait to tell her about everything," Lana said looking at Glinda

Baron and Catie heard the request from Irving. "Well better put this away," Baron said holstering his 'gun'.
"Catie, I need you to keep a lookout for anybody with a weapon similar to what Irvin has," Baron directed to Catie. "I will keep a lookout for those type of soldiers too but also focus on the ones getting a little to close for comfort," Baron said readying his twin swords.
Afterwards Catie and Baron were on high alert for anybody holding a rifle and any soldiers getting a bit to close.

Ethan inclined his head thoughtfully as they continued walking. A sudden wind swept across the endless plains, and Ethan's eyes suddenly narrowed. There, in the distance... Is that fighting? Damn... How did I not sense that before?!
"It appears diplomacy may not be an option after all," he says grimly, motioning to the giant tree in the distance. "There seems to be a skirmish downrange, but I cannot tell which side is which, or who is attacking whom. Well, Elia? What do you think? This may be an opportunity for us to make some new friends, but we could also sit this one out and see what happens."
-------
"Wow... You're really cool!" Leo says in awe. He walks over towards Zoroark and reaches out to pet him, but stops suddenly. "Oh... Sorry. I know you're not a pet. How do your illusions work? Do you just mess with someone's mind? I don't really understand how mine work... Probably cause I'm too young. It's just something I do."
Aris nodded. "I'm actually curious about that too... In our world, what you call dark magic is called Type 2 magic, or Death Magic. Illusion Magic is Type 4 magic, and completely different. We've only had the beginning classes on the fundamentals, so we can control our powers, but from what I understand, most mages in our world can't use more than one type of magic. My brother and I are special, because our parents are unique, but even then, our Type 2 magic is much more dominant, and we're considered Type 2 mages."
------ Nobunaga formed a small orb of death magic in his hand, as the river froze solid, trapping hundreds of enemy troops in the middle, maybe more. "Bowser! I need you to watch the skies! Alert me immediately if any airborne enemies get too close, then blast them out of the sky! Lady Alyssa, I'll need you to stand back please!"
The orb of darkness in his hand abruptly quadrupled in size, and continued to grow exponentially, until he was holding a small Sun of darkness in his palms. With seemingly no effort, Nobunaga launched the dark Sun at the frozen river, and it detonated with a massive explosion, annihilating every living thing trapped in the river. A shockwave of darkness burst forth, colliding with the supernatural fog, muffling the sound of the explosion and concealing the precise point the spell had been cast from. The collision of wave and fog also darkened the area even further, strengthening the illusions in their favor.
"Brief report," Nobunaga called out telepathically, emphasizing the word "brief". "Any casualties?"
-------
General Mason watched the explosion of magic from atop his pillar. His eyes narrowed, and his teeth snapped in rage. That... Was an attack on the level of General Esdeath. I guess this means playtime is over.
All trace of humor fled his expression, and suddenly, he shot forth like a cannonball, his giant pillar of rock bending and twisting, propelling him through the air, towards what was left of the southern bridge. He landed not far from the broken bridge in an explosion of rock and debris, his own troops scattering in fear. His giant flail came crashing down as he landed, causing a fierce tremor that shook the ground for miles. The eruption of rock and debris suddenly halted mid air and began hovering around him like a shield of floating rock, just outside the range of his gravity device. The great slabs of rock morphed into giant, deadly spears. He activated the device built into his armor, and immediately, a field of high intensity gravity sprung into existence around him, crushing the ground and forming a crater beneath him. The Titan known as General Mason began to walk forward, and as he approached the remains of the bridge, the ground quivered, trembled and sunk beneath him. He effortlessly dragged his massive ball and chain behind him, and a hundred giant spears of rock hovered around him.
"HEAR ME, YUELIANS!!! I AM GENERAL MASON, ONE OF EPHESUS' FOUR ELEMENTAL GENERALS!!! I CLAIM THIS LAND IN THE NAME OF THE GREEN DRAGON!!!"
The Titan bellowed, and the world shook.
------ The Great Wall, along the Ephesian border...
"Stay where you are, Outlander!" The Captain of the Watch bellowed from his perch atop the wall.
"Sir, should we not send for the General?" One of the nearby Soldiers asked hesitantly. "If he really is an Outlander, then-"
"Fool! Do you want to be the one who disturbs General Esdeath during her down time?! I'd rather keep my head, thank you!"
".... Disturb me about what, Captain?" A deceptively soft, calm voice asked from behind him. The Captain paled and turned around, giving a hasty, shaky bow. A tall, pale woman with long silvery blue hair and icy blue eyes stood leaning against the wall, when mere minutes prior, there had been no one there. She wore a simple white tank top, black leather pants and black military issue boots. Her bare arms were covered in enigmatic tattoos of a language unknown to everyone besides her, and an ornate golden neckless hung around her neck, with a very realistic looking dragon's eye for a centerpiece. The woman looked to be in her mid to late twenties, though her true age was far, far beyond that.
General Esdeath sauntered up to the edge of the Great Wall, radiating such a fierce, deadly aura that the Captain couldn't believe everyone in a thousand mile radius didn't sense her.
"If you mean to tell me about our young friend here, save your breath Captain," she says, grinning in delight. "I sensed him the moment he arrived."
Esdeath leaned over the edge and rested her cheek on her palm, looking down on the boy. "You say you've come from a far away place, hmm boy? I'm curious... This 'place' of yours wouldn't happen to be a different world, would it?"

Glinda took a deep breath.
"...Your words ring true", she said. "I am somewhat of a hypocrite, are I not? With all that is happening, I felt I possessed no other choice than to turn to outside help. I believed our forces would be enough to quell any malicious intent that would arise from any amoral Outlanders that would be summoned, but that does not mean that the act was anything more than a gamble.
...I confess that filing in the shoes of your father and living up to his family legacy is... difficult, and I greatly value your support for me... Which is why it pains me to inform you that Cia... is currently alive, but comatose, having expended too much energy through the ritual combined with her repelling of the Witch's forces... I am sorry."
"Hm", said Zoroark. "Now that he mentions it, I've never really thought about how my illusions work. I just think it and I do it."
Basic instincts at play.
"I'm not quite certain of how the illusions function," said Joshua, "but since they can be directed to affect certain people while others can remain unaffected or see something else entirely, I'm certain it's something directed for their mind. Might not automatically mean it's magick, though. Heck, there are a lot of scientific explanations for what appear to be magick in my world, even if not all of them are explained or proven to work the way they're theorized.
One of the other Outlanders also mentioned stuff about Type-whatever-number magick, and there being seven of them. I assume he's from your world. In my world, the attacks Pokemon can perform and even their own individual biologies correspond to 18 known 'types'; for example, Fire, Water, Grass, Psychic, Bug, Steel, Dragon, and Fairy types. Each type has various properties that can make it strong or weak against others. For example", this time, Manaphy flew up beside Joshua to take the spotlight with a twirl. "Manaphy here is a Water type, which means that Fire type attacks aren't very effective against her, but Electric type attacks are twice as effective against her. Each type has their own strengths and weaknesses against other types.
Also, the attacks Pokemon perform aren't always Special or magical-looking in nature. For example, Fighting is a type that mostly consists of martial arts moves. Normal, the most basic type, has moves like Tackling enemies. Dropping large icicles onto an enemy is a valid tactic for Ice types.
Now, if the Outlander I mentioned before was right, then that would mean Type-2 magick in your world is called "Death magick", right? The thing is, Zoroark here is a Dark type, but Grinn and Rotom", he gestured to the respective Pokemon, "are both ghosts, which is considered a different type altogether, probably unlike your world. Additionally, our world doesn't quite have 'Type-4' illusion types; what Zoroark does is more like his species's basic instincts, like how spiders automatically know how to spin webs. Plus, Dimensional magick doesn't seem to fit anything from my world; there are attacks that distort time and tear space that are considered Dragon types, but there are moves that seemingly distort space where speed is reversed, for example, that are considered Physic type moves.
...Let's just say that figuring out if my Pokemon are weak to or strong against the types of magick people from other worlds use is going to be a bit of a problem for me."
Irving reloaded as he heard a telepathic command from Nobunaga.
"They got ryfels that shoot faster than mine. Other than that, just pe--"
Irving almost fell to his feet at the sudden tremor. After some shaking and a spectacular series of eruptions that may or may not have taken some Ephesians as collateral, Irving got to his feet as someone roared from a distance.
"HEAR ME, YUELIANS!!! I AM GENERAL MASON, ONE OF EPHESUS' FOUR ELEMENTAL GENERALS!!! I CLAIM THIS LAND IN THE NAME OF THE GREEN DRAGON!!!"
"Nevermind, their general showed up in our area. He's pissed."
Irving turned to Catie and Baron. "Any ideas? If I can hit him with a Type-3 shot, then we could freely kick his ass, but I'll need a clear shot, preferably close since the shot itself is slow."

Lana upon hearing the condition of Cia just stood calmly unsure of what just happened. "Comatose......," Lana said in a state of shock. "Mom excuse me for a moment I just need sometime to sort out what just happened," Lana said to her mom as she opened up a ruby portal. "Al....alon......alone in my happy place sometime to figure out what I just heard," Lana choked out before fleeing into the portal her eyes tearing in an instant. Lana was so upset she didn't notice Charlie chasing after her through the portal.
"Cia, why Cia why did it have to be you?" Lana weeped as she was alone.
Meanwhile dood......
"Hey Kamek you heard lord minion face," Bowser called out to Kamek.
"Sire I think," Kamek was about to reply until Bowser cut him off.
"Yeah, I heard minion face, he said you should keep an eye on anything airborne while I blast it out of the sky with my mighty breath," Bowser replied.
"Umm, umm I think he wanted you to keep an eye on the sky," Kamek replied to Bowser.
"Yeah but whatever who's the boss around here, and who's the minion," Bowser told Kamek.
Kamek just sighed as he looked into the sky while Bowser waited to blast some fools.
At the bridge dood
"Umm Baron I think something big is coming Catie said stumbling around.
"Sounds like the general is about to enter the fray," Baron said. "Catie fall back towards Irving," Baron told Catie.
"But I can help, too," Catie said to Baron in a protesting matter.
"CATIE YOU ARE TOO FALL BACK THIS INSTANT NOW," Baron commanded towards Catie.
"Why so you can showoff and try to be the hero?" Catie growled back towards Baron.
"No my sweet Catie I am about to use that technique, its going to get very dangerous, and I can't risk you getting caught up in it," Baron said comforting Catie.
"Understood, but please don't do anything reckless," Catie told Baron placing him in an embrace.
Catie ran off towards Irving while Baron approached the bridge. "Van you ready?" Baron asked.
"I been waiting for a chance to cut loose," Van enthusiastically replied.
"Just remember, too tell me when you are reaching your limits, that's our cue to pull back," Baron told Van. "Right," Van reassured Baron.
"Hey you big bully," Baron called out to the general. "I think your days of pushing around, those that can't defend themselves are over," Baron called out as the aura around him began to radiate. "Van its time," Baron said as his twin gauntlets began to glow with an intense light.
"So he's about to do that technique again," Catie said in awe. "Oh yeah Mr. Irving sit back and watch, remember how you went crazed and you changed and became stronger," Catie said to Irving. "Well Baron learned a technique from Vincent's place that allow him to fuse with his vampire half and well watch," Catie said as Baron's gauntlets were now brimming with power.
"When light and dark become one, a new power shall be born," Van and Baron said in unison. "Now general watch what happens as vampire and human become one," Baron and Van said as an intense light began to burst forth engulfing Baron. After an intense few moments, the light receded as a figure began to form. The figure had long flowing white hair, pale as freshly fallen snow skin, eyes that were red not like blood but like fire, and he was wearing a black and white cloak with an intense golden aura surrounding him.
"We are the light that pierces through the darkest of nights," the figure said. "We are the darkness that evil dreads," the figure said stepping forth. "We are neither, human or vampire but we are now one in the same, we are, Baron Van, and you are a corpse who doesn't know hes dead," Baron Van called out. "If you want to make it to the Kingdom you have to get through me," Baron Van told the general.
Meanwhile at the palace dood......
"I'm bored," Bowser Jr cried out to Kammy.
"Why are you telling me, go on do something," Kammy told Bowser Jr.
So with what Bowser Jr assumed was Kammy's permission, he began to make his way towards one of the hallways.
"This is my partner Manaphy hes a water type," Bowser Jr caught what sounded like the guy from before who switched bodies with his dad. "Hmm this could be fun," Bowser Jr said making his way towards the source.
As Bowser Jr turned the corner he saw the masked guy from earlier with what looked liked kids. "Finally, somebody here my own age," Bowser Jr said following the guy with the kids.

"Lana, wait!" called out Glinda. "There still remains hope for recovery!"
Lana's portal closed before Glinda could follow. Left unsure of how much Lana heard of her last plea, if at all, Glinda was about to look through her mental list of ruby statue locations within the palace to see if she could find Lana, but she was interrupted by the sounds of her radio coming to life.
"Your highness," said Alvis. "Preparations are almost complete."
Glinda felt distressed. She really wanted to find Lana, but her presence was required elsewhere.
"...Very well", she replied. "I shall be there shortly. I appoint you as general for the forces meeting the Ephesians."
"Understood", said Alvis. "Over."
Glinda hesitated before leaving her daughter's room.
"Wait, you know Vincent?" asked Irving. He then looked back to the scene about to unfold between Baron Van and the Ephesian general. "Actually, forget it. We gotta be ready for anything."
Irving pointed the ryfel at the Ephesian general, Type-7 slot equipped.
...Speaking of Vincent, I've still got that Blood Oath thing from him, don't I? Would I be able to use it if things turn to s***? He did say he'd show up "no matter the time or place", but I don't think he meant completely different worlds when he said that. What if he just happens to have shown up here in Oz too? How the hell do I even use it? All I got were vague-ass instructions and a "don't think about it too much"!

A transformation? How cute.
While the cursed fog still hindered his eyesight, Mason's foolish enemy helped him greatly. The burst of light from his enemy's transformation, as well as the newfound golden aura, allowed Mason's sharp eyes to glimpse the enemy's positions along the riverbank. And, he was able to glimpse what was likely the enemy Commander, just briefly. The mage's fog seemed to also act as a barrier, which would explain why Veloth hadn't been able to reach him yet. But soon, soon all that would be meaningless.
Mason burst out into deep peels of laughter. "Am I supposed to take you seriously, boy?! You're so naive and stupid it's laughable! 'Pierce the darkness', you say?! This 'darkness' is the only reason you're still breathing, boy! But, as thanks for showing me the position of your comrades, I'll show you mercy! And by that, I mean I'll kill you quickly!!!"
Mason slammed his flail into the ground, hurling the entire formation of giant rock spears at his opponent like javelins. Twelve giant slabs of rock and ground, each well over thirty feet tall rose up around him, and he simultaneously brought up another hundred strong volley of rock spears which hovered above him in the sky. The twelve pillars of rock began to spin around him, just outside the range of his gravity field, and Mason let go of his flail, instead grabbing the two massive machine guns off his back, which he carried and wielded like they weighed nothing.
He swiftly attached the magazine belts strapped to his chest to his SAWs, locked and loaded, and began firing, launching the second volley of rock spears at the same time. Mason laughed manically behind the safety of his impenetrable defense, as he rained countless explosive rounds and giant rocks down upon the entire area in front of him.
