"The environments vary. You can leave a tropical jungle, walk another few days, and end up in the grasslands, which look like a desert during the dry season. The creatures are plentiful and dangerous too," Reyna said as she stroked the dragon talon on her necklace. "Navigating the continent is easy, if you know what you're doing. Otherwise, it's very hard. You'll need an experienced navigator. I suggest finding a hunter."

"So, it's getting late, so shouldn't we sleep?" Morlius smiled strangely as he shifted towards Reyna.
What would you like to talk about?

Ezekiel wrote that down.
"Would you happen to know any hunters that would know the area? A contact from home?"

"Yes, all my sisters are on their journeys too, leaving only the young women and elders in the village. But I know the area too. And, depending on the timing, I would be happy help such a nice person as yourself if I could," Reyna said with a smile, and she blushed slightly. The blushing came from her own embarrassing awkwardness in such social settings, though it actually helped make her facial expression look innocent, and earnest.
Maybe even sooner than expected, if you would be willing to help me in return... It's a possibility.
Oh, Morlius, now we can talk again. I would like to talk about you. Tell me about yourself.

Ezekiel wasn't even looking at her face, stuck to his own socially awkward habits.
"Well you've come all the way out here. It wouldn't be right for me to ask you to return early. Would you know where I might find one of your sisters to help me?"

"But I wouldn't actually be going home, so it would just be part of the journey for me. And there is a reason I want to lead our tribe. I can fight and navigate better than any of my sisters. I'm simply the best one for the job, and likely the only member of the tribe on this side of this continent. With all that in mind, it wouldn't be an inconvenience to me at all. And if you still insist on choosing someone else, to be quite blunt, I would be insulted!" Reyna said, and then another person spoke up and continued to argue for her. She nodded and told him thank you as she waited for the human man's reply.

"Zeke, you're assuming her journey has a focus. Could just be wayward wandering. If she's offering, I say accept. Especially since you've no guarantees of her sisters being as good-looking," Aranno chuckled. "Course, you've no guarantees they aren't prettier either, but you've got better chances here and now. Trust me, it's a rogue's job to know how to balance risks."

Ezekiel was taken aback. Somehow it never clicked that people would actually want him to be around. He turned to face Reyna, unfamiliar territory to say the least.
"Ah...well, no insults will leave these lips. I humbly request your expert leadership and guidance in finding, um, helping me find the city of Necropolis. Thank you."
He smiled. Tried to smile. Somewhere in there.

I haven't told them this, but I'm on a journey of my own for my dark and mysterious master. I have no idea what he wants. Actually, he might not even be a he. He could be a she, an it, or maybe even a xe!

That's very interesting. Can you tell me more?
"And I am honored and delighted to share part of your journey. I will accompany you until your journey is complete, for that is the way of my people. And maybe you will share part of my journey along the way as well," she said as she smiled and blushed again, with a look of passion and sincerity in her deep green eyes.

I was reading a book and then suddenly, magic! So, you never mentioned any men in your tribe. What are they like?

"A journey with others is something inherently shared. I am with you. And that said, I know not when mine will be complete..." Ezekiel spoke, gaze drifting away as usual. "How did you come to this continent? I have not traveled. I...we will probably need to come back the way you came." Ezekiel mentally rolls for medicine ( invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4697644/ ), wondering why Reyna's face keeps turning red.

You realize that her blushing is from an increased heart rate.

Uh huh. That's nice. Yep. Reyna thought before she realized that he had asked her a question as well. But what was it? Wait, what!? What did you say? The men in my tribe? There aren't any.
"We would really need to find someone experienced with teleportation. There are cities on the coast of both continents where you can hire a mage to teleport you to either continent."

Ezekiel wanted to slap himself. Teleportation, of course.
"Already your experience is invaluable. How much would a teleporter charge do you think?"

"Well, the tribe has a deal with a few mages in particular, who charge us very little if the teleportation is for our journey... But I may not be able to get that sort of price this time, and even if I did, only one other person could come with me at that discounted price. So, unless things unexpectedly change soon, I would probably suggest visiting on of the cities on the coast, finding the lowest price, and then working there until we're able to afford the trip. I'm sorry that I'm not being very helpful right now."

"I could probably get you a gig smuggling on a ship, if you don't mind that kind of work. Just an idea, though, and no guarantees," Aranno said as he wavered between different amounts of eye contact, partially because neither of the two were much for eye contact, and partially because he was unsure how well either of them would receive the offer.

Ezekiel nodded.
"I appreciate the offer Arrano, but I would sooner put my life in the hands of an experienced scholar than a rouge ship captain. But either way, we shall travel to the coast next morning should we be ready. There we will see what our funds allow."
"And any help is better than none," He said generally to the girl next to him, and then he looked around, mainly at the elf and tiefling, "Oh, sorry...are you planning on joining us?"

"Well, they are lacking in entertainment around here... I suppose I could join you, at least until we get to the coast. I have grown rather fond of the beach in my travels," Aranno whispered, nearly losing himself in his memories. "So, yes."

"I have nothing else to do here, so yes." He responded.
No men!? Are you under a curse!?
