"My head hurts. Quite a bit. Almost feel like I learned a lesson or something." Looking to his side at the elf, Aranno perks up. "Never mind. Ma'am, a display, you say? I could give you as much of a display as you like. Simply say the word."

So, you heal her by two points, bringing her up to 9/12 (SMEX shouldn't have added his proficiency bonus to healing). SMEX, your proficiency bonus and ability score rating doesn't affect your spell power. It only affects spell accuracy. I knew those numbers were screwy. It does for healing word, I checked the description in the pdf. But I checked the description for vicious mockery and it doesn't, so your right on that one.

Ezekiel saw the elvish woman walk up. Obvious robes are obvious, might as well take a shot.
"Thank you my good lady. Would you happen to know where the ringleader is? He had promised me an audience with the necromancer of this troupe once all was done."
He looked around a bit at the still full spectator seats.
"Should we vacate for the next act?"

"There are no more acts." Said the woman. "I came to collect any ingredients my skeletons may have dropped. Bone meal is useful after all."
Also, Healing Word only adds Ability Modifier, not your Proficiency modifier.

Oh, I missed the word ability and just read spellcasting modifier. That's still +7 health at least. And back in character. ..
Elkas wanders around looking for no one in particular, but also someone else with magic. "So does anyone else have healing and or fire magic? I'd like to pull out this arrow without bleeding to death."

"Good advice, thank you." Ezekiel glanced at the bones wondering if he should loot any. He then saw Elkas and attempted to remove the arrow cleanly. There's some scripture involved."

"Perhaps." The Elven woman mumbled a bit. "Anywhere in particular that you'd like to meet?"

You remove the arrow and patch the would cleanly, restoring 3 health.

"Do you have a study? Anywhere is fine. Preferably in private."
Ezekiel checked to see no one else was injured, and then quickly pulled out his book and began rifling through it to some flagged pages.

"My study with the circus is about as private as a bar, so you'll need to provide the location." She said before throwing a dagger near Aranno's foot.

"Oh my, feisty. What if I told you both that I could provide a location, given some time?"

"Ah, I feel better already. Well folks, I'm going to be heading to the inn for my own show. Feel free to drop by if you have the time."
Elkas began to leave the stadium after drying some of the blood off his clothes.

"We could bring her to the inn." Nergui suggests, now on her feet as she approaches Ezekiel and the necromancer. "It'll be dead at this time of day, and most of our things are still there. Thanks for the help, by the way. You're a miracle worker."
She turns to the sorceress, hoping the woman wouldn't catch her wandering eyes. "By the way, how did someone of your... 'profession' come to work in a circus? If you don't mind my asking..."

Two Mage Hands, one from Morlius and another from the woman struck simultaneously. One for the head, the other between the legs.

"I needed money." She explained. "The university said that my experiments were... Unethical."
She continued to mutter under her breath.
"It's not my fault that the Dean doesn't like folk music."

Ezekiel bowed his head.
"I don't normally keep this company. Would you mind coming to the inn then?"

At the inn...
Ezekiel had gotten a table out. He was in a corner, but not too hidden to be suspicious. On the table he had laid out a bunch of sheets of paper; sketches, portraits, and documents. Each of them were pulled from his oft-perused prayer book, where he kept everything important to him.
"So here's my story. About two weeks ago some graves were disturbed in my home town. I'm looking for clues as to who did it and why."
He pointed at some of the sketches. One showed a graveyard with a large majestic tree in the center. In the next, the same graveyard was shown, only the tree had fallen and the ground beneath it was upturned.
"It was the middle of the night, and a freak thunderstorm obscured the sound, along with any tracks afterwards. Nobody had seen anyone, and the incident was only noticed the morning after. I had two clues to go on. First," He pushed forward another sketch, "This tree had been rotted on one side causing it to topple."
He pushed another forward, this one of the two vandalized coffins. "And these coffins. Their covers were broken from the inside. The inhabitants had died over a decade previously, so it is likely nothing remained but their bones. The graves were directly beneath the tree before it had fallen."
He continued, "Besides the obvious necromancy, I deduced that the rain shower beforehand must have been magical in origin, and had lasted at least two hours. I have done my own research and consulted a few wizards but...any insight you have into my problem would be greatly appreciated. You're the first Necromancer I've found."
(yes, I got backstory!)
