A Heartless is what happens when the darkness of a heart consumes the heart and separates itself from the body. They are generally savage, unintelligent, and are more monstrous the more darkness is in the heart. A Heartless can consume someone's heart to create another Heartless.
A Nobody is left behind when someone's heart is taken by a Heartless. Most disappear shortly after creation, but those who are stronger survive. The consist only of soul and body, with no heart. This means they don't have emotions, and feel empty. Over time, however, they can regrow hearts, but this is unknown to them. The more powerful someone's body and soul is, the more human-like their Nobody is. Nobodies also gain powerful abilities, and the strongest of which gain an inherent ability to a certain element, though this may only apply to Organization XIII members (or Bishops in this case). Roxas got light, Larxene got electricity, but some get irregular elements such as Illusion and Moon. In our RP, there are only two Bishops who are MCs so far, and one has Earth and the other has Vorpal. These abilities are magical in nature, but are not treated as magic, since they are inherent. Think like a spell-like ability instead of a spell.

OK, so Heartless and Nobodies could probably spawn from FFVI's magicless world, then. In fact, it'd probably be more likely since it's such a crapsack.
I see that some people have multiple character applications. Do we get to make one MC and one baddy or something?

So I just need a few things cleared up... WTF is a Nobody, anyway? I mean... I know they're like, the baddies in KH2 or whatever and act kinda like the Asch to everyone's Luke... but how and why? Are Heartless and Nobodies mainly magical, or are they some kind of Personas and Shadows BS where they feed on emotions and not mana? Can a Keyblade be more of a Keyaxe or Keylance? It just doesn't work as a sword to me. Welcome to Kingdom hearts, where emotions are more magic than magic. Like you have your Firaga level stuff, and then you have your "Your light was so strong it pulled me out of another dimension" level stuff. Nobodies and Heartless run on emotion for the most part, not MP casting type magic. In KH a being is comprised of their heart (emotions and "life force" in a way), their soul (personality) and their body. A Heartless is a person's heart that's been corrupted by darkness (which will always happen to a person's heart unless the heart has a host, or in the incredibly rare case that the heart has no darkness in it). The heart gets separated from the body if the person is killed by a heartless or a keyblade (I think). If the person's heart was strong enough before separation, the remaining soul and body manifest as a Nobody. They don't have hearts so they don't feel emotion, but they can apparently grow hearts and become their own beings if they live long enough. As for Keyblade types, it's established in the series that it changes shape depending on the keychain attached to it. So we're extrapolating that here and saying that it can become any type of weapon given a certain keychain. So a lance/axe is totally possible. |

No, we can make multiple MCs (both good and bad), and each person handles a world (and all characters from that world who aren't MCs). I think FFVI is taken though.

Ever wonder why Kefka didn't just nuke the world from the start? Maybe he was trying to grow a Heartless army to take on other worlds...

Anyways, the world can take place at the same time as the game (so you can interrupt part of the game and forgo the destroyed world).

I think I wanted to do X unless you were just naming the worlds that were already taken.
Even though Kefka would be the type of person to want his own heartless army.
Maybe we can even have Kefka and Sephy face off in an epic clash

Also how would the worlds work? If somebody already visited the world and completed what had to be done would the world reset it self after the first player completed the world? Or is that world essentially done.
Also can more then one person visit a world at a time.
