Does Rydan get intelligent underlings or not? As intelligent as Heartless get. Well, he could have associates. Basically if you told him "I want to raze Destiny Islands to the ground with a heartless army" he'd probably make you one, but it wouldn't be an "underling" type of relationship. His goal is to have the heartless kill as many people as possible. Period.

As always, GX knows exactly what to say. Someone has been hiding their true omniscient nature. Burn the witch! So, when are we starting this? Dammit Fennie, I'm occupied!

But Empire, isn't a wild Fennekin more important?

Alright, I think it's fair that people know what Rydan is like.
Rydan is kind of psycho. He spends a lot of time alone talking to himself and doesn't likes company that talks back. His base is the World That Never Was, where he manufactures heartless and sends them to other worlds to consume them. He doesn't care if people fight back, since his numbers are endless. He'll just keep pumping them out. He is quite careful about his own self-preservation however, and so Heartless patrol TWTNW constantly, and he rarely engages others directly. When he sees a whole person, he wants nothing more than to rip their heart out and allow the darkness to consume it. He treats Heartless like pets. However, he is less hostile towards Nobodies. He enjoys seeing living beings that don't have hearts, so he keeps a collection of the finest ones he encounters frozen in time in a sort of museum.
On a lighter note, should we still have some Princesses of the Heart, even though Disney doesn't exist? I mean we could have Serah, and Serah, and...Serah...and Serah even though that one isn't a princess.

Hey, I haven't discussed this with GX, but couldn't her character be an apprentice of Ansem? About how long before current events would those experiments have taken place? How long ago was the initial Heartless invasion?

Yes, being one of Ansem's apprentices in this AU is possible. I'm actually thinking of Moran having been one of them.
Timeline: 5 years ago - Ansem began his research, picking up apprentices along the way 2 years ago - Ansem decided to not dig any further and canceled his experiments on the heart. He moved onto other things (like making virtual realities), and the original apprentices may or may not have left him at this point. 1 year ago - The first heartless started appearing in the worlds.
As for when the Heartless hit crisis level, I guess that's world dependent.

So many apprentices! Magnus was an apprentice of Ansem too, and one of his most brilliant, before he dug too deep and was banished. Anyway, my character is done. I'll have his sheet up momentarily.

Let's just stick to the worlds we're using.

Sure, the apprentice would be young, but would also have been a child prodigy with magic. And it would help me fill one gap in the timeline of my character's backstory.

Well, if Ansem started his experiments 5 years before, she wouldn't be that young. Though, there would still be 6 years f a gap unless she was his apprentice beforehand.
